461  Economy / Economics / Re: Increasing number of celebrities endorsing cryptocurrency on: March 31, 2018, 02:12:19 PM
Yes, this will certainly boost the popularity of bitcoin, i guess there are many more celebrities who secretely are into bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Anonymously, making more money because of their huge capital. Too bad, those celebrities you have mentioned are not anonymous now.
462  Economy / Economics / Re: Alternative investments on: March 31, 2018, 03:08:24 AM
There are lots of things you can invest alternatively, properties for example, venturing in businesses or putting up a small business, you see, there are so many potentiality of bitcoin. Bitcoin offers more opportunity to earn aside from trading bitcoin or altcoins. We just have to be wise in venturing to any kind of investments. Bitcoin has more to offer, but i recommend to concentrate on one line only, it is difficult to mange time and skills to so many businesses at the same time, just focus on one thing, bitcoin perhaps.
463  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin really anonymous? on: March 31, 2018, 02:18:04 AM
My questions is not on the technical side, since obviously you can create an address in a very much anonymous way. However, when it comes to spending it or convert it into fiat or even when spending it on a legit shop online you have to leave an identity trace.

I know that with small transactions is fine, under the radar basically, but what happens with significant ammounts?

I am asking this because I intend to become rich in 4 or 5 weeks Grin Grin

Bitcoin itself is anonymous, even when you earn it,  if someone deposited bitcoin amount to your bitcoin wallets it is still anonymous, how much is the amount, may it be small or huge amount, but if you use it to exchange sites or buy stuff using bitcoin because you will have to disclose some info about you, if you convert your bitcoin to fiats, that is where the anonymity ends. But still, people cannot identify from where did you get those bitcoin.

In my country, our wallets are allowed to convert on a limitied amount only. They will never know where it came from, but since we will have to supply some personal informations, we are no longer anonymous. Therefore, bitcoin can be anonymous only when it stays virtually, but if third party will be involved or if you try to spend it, anonymity ends.
464  Economy / Economics / Re: The panic seller irony on: March 31, 2018, 01:55:44 AM
I know some coworkers that sold BTC today, they are real casuals, they got into BTC because they heard it went up a lot, they don't know even to set a local wallet so they store their coins on Coinbase or wherever the fuck they buy at.

Well, they sold today at at the dip near the $4000 double bottom.

The irony is, these casuals are the ones that are always complaining about how it's unfair that BTC is distributed in the hands of few whales, YET, they are the ones that constantly panicsell and give their cheap BTC back to these same hands they are complaining about, because guess who is profiting the most on these dumps: whales. They buy lots of cheap BTC.

If you want whales to stop having so much BTC, don't panic sell or you will keep feeding them. Just focus on your own portfolio and keep stacking BTC on the dips. In the long term, we will win.

Sadly this is true, some small funded individuals who have no idea what they create when they panic sell, this shows that bitcoin is delegated to small portions and represented by this groups of individuals that somehow make a big turnouts if they think all the same, that is why some big whales that has a large portions of the total share earm more,  but the truth is, if the quantity of these small funded individual be put together, they can deflect what the whales are trying to insinuate as far as the market price is concern, so what we must do is to unite and HODL for bitcoin to gain momentum.
465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I’m out on: March 31, 2018, 01:38:05 AM
I had a blood clot on my brain in late January and stroked out.By the time I got out of hospitals rehab a month later I’m seeing 85% losses, with no end in site. I can’t ride this rollercoaster any lower. I’ll be happy to escape with some profits now rather than ending up underwater. Good luck to all.

Sorry for what you are in right now. But quitting on your investments are not the right thing to do, if i were you, i would hold on to how much bitcoin i have, if you dont have plans to trade them, at least hold them, not unless that is the only money left in your bank of pocket.  bit if not, let it stay in your wallet, if the price is low today, it will soon go up, since bitcoin is volatile, and highly dependent on users, there is a chance you will gain more if you hold your coins.

467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Planning to sell all my btc as its too low now :( on: March 29, 2018, 03:01:06 PM
You should do otherwise, do not sell, but buy more bitcoin today , now is the best time to buy bitcoinor any coins like eth. You are just one of the people who panicked and thinking to bail out rather than holding your bitcoin. But the deciscion reamins in your own hands. If you think you needed to sell, do it, but the chance of getting back what you have lost duringthis price drop, if the price will hike over the next week, you  are to be blamed
468  Other / Meta / Re: Newb To Newbs: Gaining Merit Fast! on: March 29, 2018, 02:51:09 PM
Now i get it, compile stuff that are already posted with the same topic for the sake of lazy users who dont want to jump from one thread to another,  this will harvest more merit (hopefully) nice try op, but hey folks, this is what merit system has made us, if not, enlighten me, the thread is informative but the intention is cloudy. Though your effort precedes you,. Anyway thanks for this thread.
469  Other / Meta / Re: Want to get some opinion about this. [Maybe a Proposal to Eliminate Farmers] on: March 29, 2018, 02:27:04 PM
I think smerits farming are already been discussed, even the users who are giving away smerit to unworthy posts, sooner or later they will ran out of smerits to give,  farming smerits are easiy to be spotted, it depends on the smerits giver if he will waste it on a smerit farmer, having a merit is the top priority of users these days, it helps this forum to be of quality. Do not worry about farming. It will go away naturally, well, technically speaking.
470  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN PEOPLE - Do you have a business that accepts Bitcoin? on: March 29, 2018, 01:59:00 PM
This is a good way to contribute good publicity of bitcoin, though this is not new especially your site because there are already sites that offers the same idea as yours, this kind of site really promotes bitcoin accessibility and  feature one of the many potentials of bitcoin. It can surely helps in attracting more investors and traders.
471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting tired of waiting on: March 29, 2018, 01:44:13 PM
I don’t know how much more. My $1350 investment is worth $526.78 as of this moment. My coins were BTH, LTC, and ETH.

What you are experiencing now is truly alarming, almost 50% of your investment are gone, but the good thing is, you have coins variations, you can either venture on the most appraised coin, or you buy btc instead, now is the time to buy bitcoin because of the low price in the market.
472  Economy / Economics / Re: Charity Accepting Bitcoins? on: March 28, 2018, 11:57:13 AM
I think there are charitable institutions that accepts bitcoin, but ii is not advisable to give donations using bitcoin because the rate varies from time to time and the exchange fee is high, if you truly want to help, you can convert bitcoin to fiats first.
473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I sell house to buy bitcoin if it drops below $ 5000? on: March 28, 2018, 06:45:08 AM
this is crazy and yet brave, it is way too risky to gamble on your house or property, but it all depends on you own decision, but i hope tou can consider the fact that bitcoin is volatile in nature, there are no assurance that tou can take your house back, but nonetheless, it is your decision and what matters is, you are responsible for your own decision, just a tip, invest only on your extra money and not all of your assets, because we can never really know the coming future of bitcoin.
474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid Being Scammed Again on: March 27, 2018, 03:55:42 AM
this serves as a great tool to spot a scam, because of some greedy users, that wants a quick and easy way to earn but ended up being scammed, fhey did not bother to thoroughly investigate before venturing on a specific project, maybe next time, do not be easily fooled by some too good to be true schemes and it is best to ask someone on that project or get more info before you venture on them.

476  Other / Meta / Re: New rules to rank up is nice. on: March 25, 2018, 02:21:25 AM
The title of this topic is quite misleading, maybe that is what you must learn too, creating a title that supports your topic, so others would not bother to look  inside as your topic was already known by many, try to create more informative topics and not this kind of expressing amusement on things that are already here, just a tip dude. It is nice to know lots of people are now appreciating the merit system, theymos knew this merit thing will eventually make things in order here in this forum.
477  Economy / Economics / Re: Working smart vs working hard - an ultimate guide on: March 24, 2018, 04:02:45 PM
For me , working smart is better, here is an example:

A boss has 2 worker, Tommy the hardworking guy and Alfred the smart worker, the boss ask Tommy and Alfred to look for a nice restaurant in the neighborhood. Without hesitation, Tommy instantly comply and roam around the city, hours later he returns and told his boss he has found a fancy resto 2 bocks away from their office, the boss told Tommy, go and ask if we can reserve a table, the guy quickly rush to the resto and ask if there is an available table for his boss and heads back to the office to report to his boss, the boss says, very good you are such good and hardworking staff.

Then came Alfred, hey boss,  there is a cheaper resto down the alley, i quickly browse the internet and search for the resto Tommy had told you and read a lot of bad ratings and comments from the customers, so ive search other resto and found this cheap resto, they have a high ratings and a promo if we reserved early this morning you will get a free bottle of champaign. So i reserved a table for you sir to avail the promo.

Good job Alfred.

Even the two guy did a good job, we can say Alfred outwitted Tommy,

478  Economy / Economics / Re: Will bitcoin change the distribution of wealth in the world? on: March 23, 2018, 08:42:45 AM
Does anyone have information whether bitcoin would distribute wealth more equally across people than the current wealth distribution?

Or would the distribution be even more unfair?

this will be possible if bitcoin is not banned in most countries, we are still struggling about this issue, if majority of poor people will have access to internet, then there is a chance to equalize this unbalanced wealth distribution so to speak. the sad thing is, this issue about internet access is nearly impossible, plus the rate of uneducated people that can't afford to study, they cannot read or write, if we can look at the statistics of the population of the world, the ratio of rich versus poor is remarkably has a hug gap, so we can fairly say that the current and future status of this ratio will continue to be that way, rich people will continue to be rich and poor people will sadly remain poor, though a small percentage of poor people will have the chance to cross that gap, but still the ratio will remain imbalanced.
479  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at 2600$, is it possible !!!! on: March 23, 2018, 08:12:54 AM
i don't think so, as bitcoin progressed in terms of investors, there are possibilities but it will never happen based on the current market stats, even bitcoin is volatile in nature, it will not plunge to the extent of 2600$. not this quarter i guess. just hodl and be patient, time will come to sell your assets. just believe in the system.
480  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter CEO Says Bitcoin Will Be Worlds Single Leading Currency on: March 23, 2018, 07:53:54 AM
this will certainly add up to so many achievements of bitcoin, though he is quite late, bitcoin is already the leading coin in the digital world, even from the start, bitcoin is on top of market shares, but this news will surely help boost the morale of this platform, since twitter is partly engaged in bitcoin due to twitter campaigns that pay bitcoin, twitter also benefited from  bitcoin because of the campaigns that are running at present.
