561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will cryptos be so volatile forever? on: January 30, 2018, 05:26:19 AM
When will we reach the state of more of less stable cryptocurrencies or it is in their nature and will never end?

actually it is bitcoin's nature, we should compare bitcoin stability with the current foreign currencies' stability, volatility is dictated by the demand and spendable power of a currency and bitcoin spending ability is still limited because it is not yet widely accepted in both physical and virtual stores, unlike dollar, the volatility of dollar is not that much high, therefore it is more stable and well regulated. as long as the spending capacity of bitcoin is limited, it creates traffic thru buying and selling so it has high volatility than other fiat.
562  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Merit - Discouragement on: January 30, 2018, 03:59:48 AM
Actually, although maganda ang intensyon nung admin/moderator, mas madidiscourage kami lalo mga newbie/brand new member to participate or magpataas ng rank because of this new policy. Kasi being new in this forum, madalang talaga na mabigyan ka ng merit from other user lalo na kung baguhan ka plang.. the reason nga bakit ka sumali is to gain knowledge so wla talaga maeexpect ang ibang higher rank to gain new knowledge or info from us newbie's/brand new user.

wala naman yan sa rank eh, nasa good and substantial post yan, kung maganda ang pagsusulat mo or kung yung post mo eh inforamative, nakaka-attract yun ng merit. post lang ng post until ma meet nyo yung required number of post then substantial pa, magkaka merit yun at pasok kayo sa mga campaigns, meron naman tumatanggap ng low level rank yun nga lang mababa ang rate pero ok na rin yun kesa wala. the use of merit is to encourage users to post substantial stuff not to discourage to do your work. it is good pa nga eh kase mas maganda ang laban. strive more to earn that bitcoin we all wanted. yung mga high level ranking users dito eh galing din sa pagiging newbie at talagang nagsikap magpost para lang maka level up. wala pang merit noon, totally noob sa mga threads pero nagsikap, nagbasa at kumikita na. laban lang mga pinoy.
563  Economy / Economics / Re: 99% of the people still think that fiat money are better than crypto on: January 30, 2018, 03:44:08 AM
I was talking with a friend of mine about cryptocurrencies and he said:
"Cryptocurrencies are anonymous?Nothing on the internet is anonymous.Having a bunch of dollars or euro in the pocket is the most anonymous way to store money. Grin"
Damn, now i think that he is right and fiat money are still way more convenient ,despite all the inflation, banks monopoly and control. From my personal experiense 99% of the people refuse to believe in bitcoin and refuse to adopt it in their daily life.Any opinions?

it was just an issue on bitcoin anonymity, not the bitcoin value itself. what your friend's pointing is the practicality of fiat versus bitcoin. it is true that cash on pockets are easy to spend than bitcoin, because bitcoin is not yet being accepted by many stores. anonymity of bitcoin i think in terms of identifying its user or holder is untraceable, not unless you put in exchange sites, that anonymity diminished, maybe the process of exchange breaks the anonymity of bitcoin, once you convert it to cash and spend it or buying stuff from the internet where you put your address where it will be delivered. try to buy a car in the internet using bitcoin then show it to your friend, maybe he will believe in bitcoin's value and use. it is a virtual money intended for virtual buying.
564  Economy / Economics / Re: High Bitcoin volatility explained on: January 30, 2018, 03:03:34 AM
in short, the law of supply and demand is being applied in bitcoin, it is easier to comprehend that when the demand is low, the price will go down, but when the demand is high, surely the price will hike, but there are two issues here, one is bitcoin price itself on the market, there are limited bitcoin in the market that dictates bitcoin price, when bitcoin holders trade it, the supply of bitcoin increases therefore resulting bitcoin price to plunge, when we buy bitcoin, the demand increases resulting high price. people buying and selling creates traffic, that is called volatility of bitcoin

second, when we talk about the use of bitcoin in terms of buying power over goods and products today, we can say it is limited only because of acceptance of stores and establishment that accept bitcoin as payment. since it is limited, buyers are uncertain to put in exchange sites and uncertain to use it to buy stuff. therefore, forced to sell it at a higher price rather than spend it. then we come back to bitcoin trading. and the chain begins again and again, resulting bitcoin volatility, as long as bitcoin is not widely accepted to common and physical store, it will remain in our virtual wallets.
565  Economy / Economics / Re: If you achieve your target in crypto field then what you are going to do next? on: January 30, 2018, 02:44:03 AM
if i reached my target on having so much bitcoin, i would like to try mining, i will try to set up a nice mining equipment to earn more, then i will do charity works and donate some of my bitcoin to some organization that helps the needy, there is so much potential in earning bitcoin. but half of it should go to charity. i believe bitcoin can make a difference and surely can help lift up some of the unprivileged people.
566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Phone scam selling Bitcoin on: January 30, 2018, 02:05:45 AM
whew that was scary, i thought bitcoin is anonymous, did you just left your number or even posted it somewhere? maybe you liked a link on facebook that has something to do with bitcoin then that caller saw it and traced where he can contact you, be careful where and what you like. those are phishing sites that take advantage of security vulnerability of facebook just to gather data and randomly dialled your number, there are no such thing as legal callers selling bitcoin. good thing is, we no know how popular bitcoin these days.
567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Philippines SEC Plans to Regulate Cryptocurrencies, ICOs on: January 30, 2018, 01:57:05 AM
I dont know if this is really a good thing, after regulating bitcoin, what's next? taxing it? because they will know bitcoin trading brings a lot of money to holders and traders, soon they will require identification of bitcoin users in your country then that's it, it will only be just an ordinary trading just like dollar and foreign currency tradings, where they limit the quantity of currency to protect against money laundering. it is still uncertain what would this step will bring us. let us keep our fingers crossed. hopefully beneficial to us.
568  Economy / Economics / Re: is there any economic effect for the country or bitcoin users on: January 29, 2018, 06:11:00 AM
yes i think there is a great effect on the economy of a country, just like dollar reserve, it has a major role for a country to gain stability and economic growth. if bitcoin is widely accepted by a certain country, it will definitely lessen poverty and the money reserves will circulate more due to exchange, microfinancing at its best. more people will have more buying power so trading will zoom up, more investors, more demand, more earning.
569  Economy / Economics / Re: The lack of financial education on: January 29, 2018, 05:06:27 AM
we cannot learn everything in schools, that is the fact, only basic education are available in schools, when they graduate they are in a culture shock because real life outside school are much different from what they expected. trading and financial economy was taught in universities, but crypto trading is different and just new in our society, we cannot expect kids to appreciate it quickly. and we cannot blame schools too, nobody teach us how we came here in bitcoin world, so dont you worry, the next generation will cope up with this fast-paced system.
570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto market cap is rising ?? on: January 29, 2018, 04:53:37 AM
Today I found some rise in total coin market cap reached 580+ billion still rising is that the good sign for next big pump. It was in between 500 billion last couple of week today it’s rising.

if that is your forecast on the market cap then go, bitcoin trading is all about timing and trending, if you feel this is a good time to trade that is your decision, we should grab this opportunity and seize the moment, the great risk of volatility matters, get advantage of the trend.
571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Really End World Poverty? on: January 29, 2018, 04:40:51 AM
no it cannot end poverty, the thing is, if we are talking about the capacity to trade, it can only bring money to common people who are educated or privileged ones, one who has an internet access, and one whose country are accepting bitcoin payments and trading. poor people has no internet in their homes, did not even set foot on schools, has no electricity in their homes, which is why there are poverty, lack of privileged people, but here's the good thing about bitcoin, you can send bitcoins to some non-government organizations and agency that helps people who are poor and needy. if all rich bitcoin holders donates some of their money, then we can say bitcoin will and can end poverty.
572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who anticipated the Crypto fallout of January 2018? on: January 29, 2018, 03:51:02 AM
i think i have read in one of the threads here that for the past 4 years of bitcoin market, there's a similarity of bitcoin price when it reach december to march, the data was to strikingly similar on these months, maybe we can use it as a memo or sort of when to buy or sell, but honestly no one can anticipate when are the exact time of this plunges will take place, there are so many considerations to take when investing or trading, just use it well and nothing could go wrong.
573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm donating 5057 BTC to charitable causes! Introducing The Pineapple Fund on: January 29, 2018, 01:06:07 AM

574  Other / Off-topic / Re: Money for school fees. Invested in bitcoin. on: January 28, 2018, 03:01:11 AM
Hi there! I just need your advice. I invested the money instead of paying my school fees. Yeah, i know this is wrong because education is more important to us and it can't be stealed from us, i'm still studying but my fees will be doubled on the next payment. But i believe this will end a good result. What do you think about this ? Your advice will be highly appreciated. Thanks!

This is crazy but brave, i like your postive outlook, but be careful in investing, you should double check the market sales, being pessimistic is good in trading but still too risky especially now, we can see the price of bitcoin is not high as how much it cost a couple of months ago,  you should take into considerations the current price and the possible hike or loss, a single recklesseness may result to lost. Invest only extra money and not the ones intended for more important things such as education fees. Same goes with borrowed money, never invest it,
575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trading for beginners ! on: January 28, 2018, 02:51:38 AM
What you have said is fundamentals of trading in investments, those are the simplest way to explain what is trading, but there are more complicated matters you should learn before you get into trading business, one i think is the timing and you must be willing to risk, patient and goals is important too, and the most important thing in trading is  do not put all you money in one investments, just a percentage of it, the amount you can afford to loose,
576  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can a jr.member still participate in a campaign? on: January 28, 2018, 02:37:48 AM
I just wondering if a newbie like me just joined a campaign recently or i dont know maybe im not yet involved in thier campaign. Do you think it is bad to use thier code when you see your name in the spreadsheet? And what is the meaning when your name is on a violet color ? What does it means ?

I think you should read more about this problem of yours, there are threads which caters questions like this, there are also new threads regarding the new merit system when joining campaigns, when you see your name in their spreadsheet means you in, about the violet colored text, i think that is a marker of your campaign manager, you should ask him or just wait if you get paid at the end of every cutoff.
577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countries that accept bitcoin payments on: January 27, 2018, 08:24:05 AM
At present, although the cryptocurrency market is still hot, its treatment in different countries is not the same. Some countries are boycotting them, while others are expanding their use. Bitcoin payments are gradually expanding from nonprofit institutions such as universities and charities to a wide range of business services.

Of course, different countries have different views about bitcoin, we cannot blame them, not all countries are open to this kind of platforms, some due to ignorance and incapacitated in terms of cyber related platforms such as bitcoin that is obviously internet-based system, even in a single country, not all people under that country has the same percepction as far as bitcoin is concern, just give bitcoin a chance, surely in its time, slowly more and more people and country will accept cryptos, not only bitcoin.
578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin SCAM! on: January 27, 2018, 07:41:13 AM
That is a clear pyramiding scam, just one of the contributors of the negative news that brought negative news about what bitcoin really is. Your story really helps those newbies in trading and investing in bitcoin, just do not go to third parties that promised a to good to  be true to earn bitcoin the fast way, the essence of bitcoin is not thru pyramiding, there is no such thing as big return of investment in a little time, in bitcoin, you must earn it the hardway, sometimes you win, sometimes you loose, depending on the volatility of bitcoin price, it takes a lot of patience and hardwork to earn, never trust no one, just trust you own decision and always be aware of bitcoin trends.
579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does bitcoin pose a threat to banks? on: January 27, 2018, 07:16:02 AM
Just as the digital era, the photographic industry witnessed the bankruptcy of Kodak, the rise of online music, the disc has also been quickly eliminated, after the advent of bitcoin, the financial industry may also need to carry out major rectification. Will the bank disappear?

I dont think banks wil disappear because of the rise of cryptocurrency, banks are part of the major economy of one country, though some banks experienced bankrupcy due to loss of investors, we cannot say or presumed that bitcoin holders will not need banks 100% in their lifetime and cause the banks to declared bankrupcy. Im pretty much sure banks wil develop its system to accomodate bitcoin and other cryptos for them to stay in operation. Even world banks are for sure gathering new ways and means to cope up with the growing demands of bitcoin transactions. Soon they will invade the wolrd f bitcoin.
