321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would be the next 3 most promising ICOs? on: June 04, 2017, 10:47:05 AM
IMHO, only Radix is on my radar.

Gen 1 -> Bitcoin
Gen 2 -> Ethereum, NEM, NXT
Gen 3 -> Radix

Thanks... of the coins in this thread Radix interests me most.
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The most expensive coin in 2017? on: June 04, 2017, 10:36:26 AM
The two with the highest raw percentage gain potential are not on your list... xtrabytes and pascalcoin are two of the only coins left with sub $25M market caps with interesting technology worth investing in. Others might get pumped but 97% of them are worthless or idle projects.  You're also missing the third coin on my list that I'm going to be purchasing.
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Q: Invest 100k in 4 coins, Method, tips. on: June 04, 2017, 10:34:05 AM
Performance since he made these picks

NEM  up 80%

ETH... up 160%

Stellar... flat

Doge... up 175%

Most coins have outperformed these three in the past month.. not bad but not great performance by crypto standards.
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrency is the fastest? on: June 04, 2017, 10:25:58 AM
NEM is the fastest where it actually runs at those speeds, but it's  part of Mijin/Catapult and still in the testing phase yet and has not been implemented into the NEM chain.   There's more to a coin than simply speed, it also has to have security, and good wallets that are easy to use, among other things.

After looking at creditbit, it's pretty barebones and I can't really invest in something that was in Established in December, 2105....
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next big thing? on: June 04, 2017, 10:17:30 AM
What do we really need from an altcoins, what is the next big thing?

We have anoncoin, platforms for trading and smart contracts, tokens..

Where are we heading?

Bitcoin was something completely new, can we expect another one?

You should know that alt coins are used mostly to make more bitcoins rather than to be taken seriously. Though there are some coins who are much good and has a potential though bitcoin would stay as the major cryptocurrency than any other. Bitcoin is known as the king of all cryptocurrencies after all.

The only real coins that I respect are ones that address bitcoin's scalability limitations. After going through that entire list on coinmarketcap there's very few I'm actually interested in myself though there's likely a couple that I missed.  All these coins that offer niche services are never going to take off because nobody is going to use them, and if companies do they'll just rip off the blockchain and make their own version because everything's open source anyways.  Take care of the scalability first and you can throw those other features in any old blockchain.  Not many coins are actually designed to address bitcoin's limitations.. my list is under 10 coins in that entire list of 300+... the most interesting is pascal which offers blockchain trim, and xtrabytes with the static nodes, and NEM for pure transactions per second but actually confirmed it runs at those speeds in real world situations, and there's a couple others I won't mention because I didn't buy them yet but I'll give you a hint... child chains.
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: June 04, 2017, 02:32:09 AM
I have a greater appreciation for this coin after going through the entire list of coins on coinmarketcap except for the low volume ones. Very few coins focus on scalability, most are pawning services or rehashing old algos.. the number of coins I'm interest investing in is under 10.  2 of them I already own... xtrabytes and Pascal coin.  There's some other coins based on the NXT platform I will likely purchase in the next day or two.

I mean really, nobody is going to use these gambling platforms.. and if the companies do, they'll simply make their own versions which won't help out the investors in these coins, which is why I repeat my notion that cryptos should not totally open up their source code but rather license it out.

There are a couple of coins that improve upon NEM's tech in one way... they focus on trimming the blockchain and segmented chains.. pascal coin is one that deals with blockchain trimming. These coins have potential as investments. Pascal mentions that in theory, they should be able to keep the network running by having a chain not much larger than about 6GB, which I believe will ultimately be something that the next big coin will adopt, since we can't have ever increasing blockchain sizes like bitcoin has when someone has developed a way to deal with it.
327  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] XtraBYtes - The Proof of Signature Blockchain Revolution on: June 04, 2017, 02:24:24 AM
I went through the entire list on coinmarketcap.com and let me tell you the list of coins I'm actually interested in is under 10, and this one and Pascal Coin are two that are near the top of my list. The others I won't list until I've bought them, but they are all 50+ million market cap coins.   I also have a greater appreciation for NEM... very few coins offer what NEM brings to the table.. most of the coins in my opinion, offering services like gambling, gaming tokens, this and that, are worthless. The coins that focus on scalability and security are the ones that are the diamonds in the rough.
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good Altcoins to buy? on: June 03, 2017, 04:49:50 PM
Xtrabytes .. proof of signature blockchain, active development, they are close to creating the genesis block for their new static chain which will replace the old chain, after which they are going to open up allowing more static nodes along with getting it on Bittrex.

pascalcoin... blockchain tech allows the blockchain to achieve a maximum size of about 6GB beyond which the blockchain can be "trimmed" ... active development that just released version 2 whitepaper outlining their future plans to work on a highly scalable proof of work coin, which is not common. Trades on Poloniex.  Made from scratch.  It's literally one of the only sub $10M market cap coins left with interesting technology and active developers not just developing the same old crap.

Viacoin... litecoin clone with active development that trades on poloniex that's working on segwit. More of a way to play on the popularity of litecoin and segwit than a groundbreaking tech of it's own.

Ark... I need to do more research on this one.. this was the first altcoin I bought with my NEM stake and since then I've subsequently learned quite a bit. Smiley

I'm doing research of coins above a 20M market cap today and tonight, so by tomorrow I'll likely have a couple more I like.

if anyone has coins under $10M market cap with active development and interesting tech that I missed, please post them. If it had a silly name I didn't like I might have passed it over when I was digging. Thanks!  Also I did not search the "low vol" coins.
329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most promising 50 satoshi or below coins on: June 03, 2017, 04:47:51 PM
I went through all the altcoins below $10M market cap and unless you're just trying to pump undeveloped/idle coins or coins with old tech, there's only a couple on my list that are any good, and one I just bought this morning that's traded on poloniex is Pascal (PASC) ... active development with unique technology that allows the blockchain to be trimmed down over time, with improvements to scalability being actively done. Here's their version 2 whitepaper that just came out.

https://github.com/PascalCoin/PascalCoin/blob/master/PascalCoinWhitePaperV2.pdf

This and Xtrabytes are my 2 favorite sub 50M marketcap coins as of right now.  I buy real tech and active development, not worthless stuff just because it's cheap.
330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What coins are owned by whales? on: June 03, 2017, 04:31:15 PM

True whales will own the top 5 coins and do a lot of ETH/LTC pumping.
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PASC] PascalCoin, true deletable blockchain [WHITEPAPER V2] on: June 03, 2017, 04:28:44 PM
This is one of the very few coins under $10M market cap with some great tech and active development so I invested. I do have a suggestion.. a catchy name is important, I would suggest changing the name PascalCoin to simply Pask, while leaving everything else the same. If you make the change I'd appreciate some PASC for the idea but it's not necessary. Smiley

Pask is the coin's name, PASC is the symbol, while Pasa is the name of the accounts... simple, streamlined, and marketable, along with being easy to remember. Look at something most of the top 50 coins have in common... simple, one word names and very few of the newer ones have "coin" in the name.

I feel strongly about this and it wouldn't take much updating to simply change "Pascal Coin" to "Pask" and remarket the coin, while starting a new ANN thread. Let's get this done!  This is some of the most promsing technology of any coin trading under $25M market cap.. let's take it's development to the next level by doing something to focus on the marketing side... the name.
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Golden Age of cheap coins is over on: June 03, 2017, 02:11:48 PM
Eventually this is all going to crash and people will be humbled for their greed, which is why I continue to remain cautious.  With the recent rise of Xtrabytes, there's no longer any coin under $5M market cap that has tech that is so promising with an active development team that I'd want to invest, and there's only 2 or 3 coins between $5M and $15M market cap.  My research into coins in the top 100 will continue through this weekend.

I'm beginning to think recommending holding NEM at a $2B market cap was a mistake when there are alts that have a lot of the same features as NEM that have skyrocketed the past week... I myself should have rotated out of NEM and into these altcoins. NEM is a great coin with great tech but it has a huge sell wall behind it and there are other coins that are cheaper that provide similar functionality (at this point, they are all pretty much in the top 50 and have market caps above $50M except for a few)... if you're looking for pure profit, there are better choices than picking a top 5 or 10 coin. NEM could be the bitcoin replacement depending on how quickly they get Catapult/Mijin out the door though... it also depends on whether the bitcoin miners finally adapt a solution to address scalability.... segwit and shorter block times for starters. These are absolutely necessary for BTC to retain the throne.    NEM doesn't have the backing of the big money mining interests like other coins like LTC do though, which is why it has low volume and there's less "pumping" of the coin by rhinos compared to ETC, ETH, LTC, etc.

Live and learn. Smiley   Progress and grow. Smiley
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HEAT: 3.0 crypto*multisig fiat*a2a hft*1000tps*DSA*PoS+PoP*e2ee chat* on: June 03, 2017, 12:35:49 PM
Waves is going through the top, heat is a direct competitor as far as I know. Can someone tell me what the main differences are? In which way is heat superior (I know of microservices atleast) and what will be the plan to catch up with waves?

I want to really like this coin but I can't get past the scam assets on the exchange. Plus, I'm more interested in coins as scalable currencies and would be perfectly happy if they focused on that aspect of the coin and ditched their exchange completely, while trying to get on better exchanges.

Maybe they have a long term vision that I haven't fully researched yet and don't care about merely pumping the coin though. Good name, promising technology....
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Am I the only one who thinks markets are behaving strange right now? on: June 03, 2017, 10:45:26 AM
I thought we were going to break through the double top but the chart looks dangerous right now as we flatline right at the wrong place and start to move down a bit, we risk collapsing if we can't break through the 90 billion dollar total market cap level and surge ahead to 95 billion, we're going to crater if the whales don't buy here.   You want this pump to continue to 120-150 billion you whales better do some buying to get the total market cap above 90 billion and fast...
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's wrong with you people?! on: June 02, 2017, 10:37:43 PM
It's not real until you sell it and withdraw into fiat. I've withdrawn $250,000 so far in my crypto adventures and still have $200,000 worth of cryptos.

this is the key. very few people seem to bother to make the link to the final bottom line. if it ain't spendable for something real it's nothing but numbers on a screen.

anyway dotcom bubble claims are laughable. this is nothing. 99.5% of the world's population still doesn't understand what bitcoin actually is, let alone put any money in. and only a modest percentage of bitcoiners have anything to do with alts.

if the people who are here right now wait around long enough they'll be richer than they dreamed possible. better secure those profits while they can though.

The key is to sell 75%, leave 25% in....With cryptos I don't bother selling unless I have a 10 bagger or greater or I think the entire bubble will burst, which has not happened yet.

336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC is the next pump, buy before moon landing!!!!! on: June 02, 2017, 10:07:57 PM
if btc gets segwit game over for ltc go short now
When bitcoin finally adopt SegWit we can see BTC super rise, this will lunch and LTC.
Please , let ltc die in peace
iT's over for the scrypt  coins
Please provide us more information's how one coin which has more than 1500 btcs in volume of daily trade can be dead? Question of which is better algorithm for some coin, basically everyone is good which can provide good and secure network.

Not to mention it's one of only 3 coins gracing coinbase/GDAX.  In all seriousness litecoin's code is superior to bitcoin's though there are dozens of alts that are better than both of them. Thought about taking my existing GDAX balance and buying all LTC with it, if the global market cap can break through the double top we're at right now... if it does hit about 95 billion, it's breakout time and that means the bubble keeps going until at least 120 billion, if not 150 billion. Might as well ride the train up, because LTC will double in that time period, perhaps passing NEM, not sure... particularly with speculation about the lightning network. NEM is the superior coin but it's not about superiority, it's about a combination of tech and hype, just like with the regular stock market (just look at TSLA)
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: June 02, 2017, 09:40:29 PM
never heard of it before. why is it called "the most advanced bitcoin exchange" ? what's so special about it?

Marketing gimmick. I appreciate them adding XEM but their withdraw fees are 2%, so I'll continue to deal with Coinbase/GDAX and Gemini.

sigh... another 5 hour giveaway. Onto the next worthless token. lol

Thanx you fucker!
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] [ICO] [WGR] | Wagerr | The Betting Blockchain | Bounties on: June 02, 2017, 06:08:53 PM
what the hell, I've got plenty of extra cash. In for a BTC on this. The total market cap of this thing at a nickel each is only 5 million dollars which is around what xtrabytes was at when I bought it.  If it ends up being a scam, lesson learned about ICOs.  Good luck, investors!

And the purchase already completed after under 5 minutes.   I used the extra BTC I had on yobit that I was trying to use to get a rhino to sell me some more xtrabytes at 575 sats but it never got there. :p
