541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So looks like NEM is going to be the next Billion Dollar Coin on: May 07, 2017, 12:37:44 PM
Nem is quite possibly the best technology of any crypto currently in existence (as of this post of course) after spending a few hours researching last night. Catapult will only improve upon it.  Low transaction fees with the ability to handle thousands of transactions per second versus bitcoin's 2-5 transactions per second.   Mijin being developed by Japanese financial institutions as a private blockchain to help with scalability and cost reduction of their businesses. Transparency and tracability in the transactions... like it or not no coin that has anonymous transactions will ever gain mainstream adoption.. you need a paper trail to avoid illegal activities and catch the people doing them.

I'd sell my stake but I see no reason to buy anything else. ETH is overpriced in relative comparison, and XEM is a better coin than DASH, which is a good coin in it's own right.   What other coin is worth perusing? The only ones have market caps which are 4X or more higher (Ripple, ETH) so I'll keep holding XEM... it should be a top 4 market cap coin and I'm gambling it will be long term. As flawed as bitcoin's tech is, I still say it should stay number 1.. it's the gold of cryptos at least in my mind... but I guess the market will decide that.  Gold has a relatively small market cap compared to fiat in today's global market after all.

Ripple, ETH, and XEM.. the market has already priced in the coins which are not shitcoins and here they are. I'm sure there are others with potential though, which is why I'm still digging.  However when the bubble bursts, if it bursts, it won't matter.. they'll all fall by half except XEM which is still undervalued for what it is and headed to a level where it will displace LTC and take the number 4 spot, even if the bubble pops and all coins take a crap and fall by 2/3.   NEM should be number 4 market cap, up there with Ripple and ETH, and it will be, plain and simple (even segwit doesn't compared to NEM's code, it's more of a patch). I say this with confidence but should add a disclaimer that I am retarded and nothing I say means anything, and that you are responsible for your own investment decisions.

As for stakeholders, congrats! You either did your DD or got extremely lucky getting a stake of a coin with great tech.  Wish I'd bothered to do this DD 12-18 months ago, I would have used my own cash to load up more while the getting was good.

543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next big thing? on: May 07, 2017, 12:24:52 PM
Having done some DD over the last 24 hours I believe XEM and Dash are probably the 2 cryptos with the technology to fix the problems bitcoin has.  With catapult coming and mijin which is a private blockchain based on XEM used by banking institutions, the low transaction fee and much higher capacity of transactions per second... bitcoin typically does 2-5 per second where XEM can handle 3000+ and catapult will improve upon that. Dash is also looking at ways to improve this. Probably the most important aspect of using these as a currency... low fees and fast transaction speed.  Transparency is also important... no coin where the transactions are not traceable will ever gain widespread mainstream adoption. Transparency is a requirement.

I'm continuing to do DD.   Thanks to the youtube guy "let's invest" ... learned quite a bit.   Check out some of his youtube videos.. he's looked at a lot of shitcoins to try to find gems and couldn't find any.. looks like the market has already correctly decided which coins deserve attention.
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where did the 'NEED 250 NEWBIES FOR A NEW COIN' guy go? on: May 07, 2017, 12:00:20 PM
Probably where it belongs. The guy sounded like he was 14 years old.
545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple releases 333 million more Tokens on: May 06, 2017, 04:55:38 PM
ripple is a sign there is big money entering crypto, because I don't know any little guys buying it.
546  Other / Off-topic / Re: I need you opinions on: May 06, 2017, 12:44:16 AM
I'm not convinced time is actually real but merely human perception.. that there is only "now" and thus it's not possible to go to the "past" because there is no past, it does not exist.
547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin will be number 1 when we reach 100 BILLION MARKET CAP ? on: May 05, 2017, 08:05:03 PM
If we get that far it will go

BTC
ETH
Ripple
LTC
XEM

Top 5.... Possibly XEM in number 4 but probably not due to segwit and higher exchange exposure with LTC.   There is not as much support for ripple from some yet it has the financial backing....  As far as tech goes ETH and XEM are the future (for now) while Bitcoin is the crypto version of gold... The store of value coin for holding larger amounts.

Personally I'm not that into ripple.  Personally I think the bubble bursts before then and it could take years to hit $100B though I hope I'm wrong.  A slower rise would have been healthier. Volume is very good though.
548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YES YOU CAN get $200 000 dollars !!just for saying hello on a thread here on bct on: May 05, 2017, 07:57:53 PM
unless you had multiple stakes in NEM which was against the rules you were allowed one, you got one million coins and that equals out to 71-72k idk where you get 200k from.

A stake is 2,250,000 XEM which is worth around $160k as of this post.  It never actually hit $200k this morning... It peaked around $185k for 5 minutes.
549  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: YES YOU CAN get $200 000 dollars !!just for saying hello on a thread here on bct on: May 05, 2017, 12:43:34 PM
Meh... If it was trading on kraken and btc-e it would be above $1B by now.  The crypto bubble is hard to predict with such high trading volumes.  Only the exchanges know if this is new investment or a big margin induced rally like the dot com bubble in 1999-2000.   Margin calls are painful... Don't borrow cryptos.

NEM is much more attractive here than ETH is @ 9B market cap.  Maybe ETH could double but NEM could go up 6x or more in that same time... Of course there are other smaller altcoins which could go up 10-30x....assuming bubble doesn't burst at $50B total market cap.

Rooted android phones with only basic gapps installed. Still using my nexus 6.
551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you trust Poloniex? on: May 05, 2017, 11:38:06 AM
I don't see the incentive to scam and embezzle and skim funds... Why not just operate a legit business and raise fees until you can turn a profit? Its why everyone trusts coinbase more.  Then yow can hire some people that can do some things like verify my ID for level 3 access without it taking 3 weeks.   It took coinbase all of 2 minutes.

No user should ever be left with a locked account for more than 24 hours and unable to get a resolution. Let me be CEO of polonoix and I'll get the bleeper running correctly and as trusted as coinbase but you'll have to pay some for that level of service.

They do good work until there's a problem that requires customer service... They don't have the ability to handle that due to the load.
552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most popular Altcoin? on: May 05, 2017, 11:28:50 AM
ETH, LTC, and NEM is the sleeping giant that will wake up when a couple more big exchanges like kraken cover it... It is less covered by exchanges than many coins trading for far less.  Would make more sense for btc-e to add xem and remove namecoin. It'll happen in time.  Oh yeah...ripple... Which has always has more "big boy" connections.
553  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.10.0 on: May 05, 2017, 11:24:11 AM
Can't believe this inflationary coin ever got so popular. I even made a paper wallet for it back in 2014.(see SIG)
554  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $0.85 transaction fee is absolutely ridiculous! on: May 05, 2017, 11:16:04 AM
I don't see a problem. Bitcoin is not going to be used to buy lattes, its more like the crypto version of holding gold.  What we need is a good altcoin to take over the function of currency for daily use whether its ETH, XEM, or some other one.  Stop making small transactions and use it as a store of value instead.
555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next $1 Billion Blockchain? on: May 05, 2017, 01:54:00 AM
XEM breakout tonight. Still not getting exchange love from kraken.
556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hi in what wallet do you store all your coins? on: May 04, 2017, 11:28:55 PM
Paper wallet inserted in my rectum.... I mean electrum.
557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto marketcap goes from $30bn to $40bn in under 2 weeks - What next?? on: May 04, 2017, 03:22:08 PM
This "bubble" is different though in that it has massive trading volume by it... Most "bubbles" don't pop while having 10x or more their normal volume... At best they have double the volume but typically volume fades during the later phases of a bubble as demand fades... This bubble will pop when demand decreases and only if people sell. Assume this is not a "bubble" but rather new investment... This is something exchanges could tell us.. Are they getting an influx of fiat?

In any case, the higher and longer it goes before popping the less the inevitable correction will be based on technical analysis.  43 billion is still a drop in the bucket from a global financial perspective.  If a stock is trading at $10 and someone buys them out for $25 the increased price does not correct. One could use the mass trading volume as an I dictation Cryptos are simply seeing new investment.

One thing that would help Cryptos is not allow borrowing of funds to trade them on "margin" .. When the bubble pops the people borrowing are screwed.  Exchange operators have the inside information on margin activity vs new investment... But I bet we collapse 50% in total market cap from whatever the top is.
558  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the future for altcoins? on: May 04, 2017, 02:20:57 PM
Makes no sense to buy ETH at 8 billion market cap when XEM at 500 million has superior tech and some other low priced alts like lisk have lots of potential too.
559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) on: May 04, 2017, 01:59:21 PM
Quite possibly the best tech out there right now... Just needs some more companies backing it to gain the popularity of ethereum.  I'd definitely buy this 500m coin over the 8B ETH.

Was hoping for a more slow steady rise but this is a huge greed driven bubble that will burst and do more harm than good to Cryptos. As usual greed is driving Cryptos.

Get ready for the burst and another 3 years of low volume basing post burst.
