I feel the community should stand up for themselves and only use exchange where the owners are known and stop using exchanges where owners hide behind screen names. Only if you persist longer... Maybe you should add new coins more frequently. Run them under SELinux/Apparmour for security. You belong to a few list of trusted exchange. |

ENC Updates for the next month: 1. A new version of the wallet will be released which will include: - Change block halving time to account for 2 minute block time from scrypt-n update. This will ensure that the total number of coins to be given out over the life of the coin will be accurate.
- Add automatic seeding from a dedicated server. This will mean no modification of .conf file for both Mac users and Windows users not using the installer
- Look into adding proof of stake and inflation into coin
2. Paper Wallets One of the nicer things I have seen out there is the vertcoin paper wallet generator: https://paperwallet.vertcoin.org/This would be a nice addition for Entropycoin. If anyone out there is interesting in helping with this endeavor please contact me to work out the details. 3. Continue promotions and marketing to get added to multipools and bigger exchanges. - One example is Cryptsy which requires 1BTC volume before considering adding a coin. Since we now mee that, they will be contacted.
- Other exchanges of interest are SwissCex, EuropeEx and any others you think would be important
- Will begin a google ad campaign to further promote the coin

I will support the coin and would help on development side. But i have no knowledge of promotion or PR. If someone wants to work to resurrect the coin. I will start working right now. But the coin needs actual promotion.
In my experience a coin just need an active and polite dev with good enough specs (and not just a clone). That's all you need to do to get a coin hit. Development skills is key. That's what made Entropycoin success. It's just another generic coin, but has a skilled enough dev backing it. So promotional stuff has to be 'developed'. I got a few simple ideas and unique which you may like to implement as a developer. That's good enough for promotions (and that's all what DRK did). I'll do what I can do on my side. |

it wont require much power. but depends who even wants to have this coin running anymore? seemingly no one other than me.
I would be happy if this coin will be resurrected, on hardoreminers there are 8-9 miners running - i think they will be happy too. Another thing is that one person can't make everything for the coin. Coin needs not only technical support. It needs publicity and promotion. It needs to be usable somewhere - not only coin for exchanges if we want it to success. Also I was writing before - positioned price for 1 satoshi will kill the coin again. With hashing power that big miners have these days, coin supply is too big - they have profit selling their coins even at 1 satoshi. But that low price doesn't let any regulation - as there is no place for dropping the price if there is no buyers. And that kills the coin. So something has to be done to reduce coin supply. Maybe reducing block reward, because increasing of block target time would mean increasing time of transaction. So, it would be great to make this coin alive again. But some additional steps should be made to keep it alive after resurrection. It would be great to have bigger dev team. Unfortunately, I can't help much, as I have lots of other activities on my main job and private business. But if someone could help dev with promotion, maybe some games for the coin and other stuff - CateDogeCoin could be successful project!.. Awais3344, what about the site you where writing before, that would accept CateDoge for making different work on internet/computing? the coin died because of the huge sells in the first day, everyone sold it at the first second and there was no one to buy anymore. maybe we could move to ltc market to remove that 1 satoshi price which is profitable for people. My aim of catedoge was to start a job site along it. but that died once everyone just sold their coins the first day and thread was pretty much left alone. Dumping process is a part of every coin. There're plenty of successful coins to which that happened. The different between failed and successful coins is that the successful coins have an active dev and they persist for a long time until they succeed. Besides in a year, via 12500 block rewards more than 200% of the coin supply will revive. They coin has been hardly mined. |
