The dev has set an impossible target. Sounds like a joke.

No Trolling: This is such as a pathetic/lame attempt to gain interest for Quark. That coin has been out forever, it's dead, it's not going anywhere...It offers absolutely nothing besides "ASIC Resistence" Shit coins stay shit coins. Polycoin is the one to rule them all. Yes, polycoin, a second generation crypto in may 2014.

Interesting, can others more experienced confirm? Will this also apply to hybrid PoS/PoW?
Agreed this needs more discussion. I don't think anyone knows how secure 100% POS is based on all the peercointalk forum posts i've read Perhaps can check with Jutarul? Ref: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=131901.0Looks like this vulnerability is known since December.

Then leadcoin is no different than this. Notice, no negative comments. Where does not mean everyone loves it.

Hindu gods own ASIC.
Honestly, there's no space for an ASIC coin in todays market.
Yeah, Ok genius. Yes I am. You can see the no. of SHA256 coins in coinmarketcap. Someone trying to get his deprecated ASIC hardware to work. Scrypt hardware will meet the same fate.

QUESTION: Ok with all these other crypto's coming out with "anonymous" sending features etc., how does one stay "anonymous" when buying an item online?? Wouldn't you loose your "anonymity" when you buy that item and then have to enter your shipping information?? So why are these people so worried about being totally "anonymous"? Is it to hide from the NSA, FBI, IRS, and other government agencies? If that's the case, then all the government has to do is run a port scanner on your ISP and look for open ports that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies use...then they can track all transactions from there and identify the user. Am I right or wrong??
That's cause there're a lot more uses of cryptos apart from online shopping of physical goods. Besides some people are privacy freaks, they don't need a reason to hide.

We need new features in the wallet -- encryption support. Otherwise the volumes are really low.
I suggest this feature be released the same day when scrypt ASICs will be out.
Agree, new features come out and quark needs to be involved to stay in the game, quarks dev should keep an eye on these developments We should get someone to add pos and some form of encryption support asap. You can't sit still in this game, sure most new things are fads but some people actually really want these features. Let's at least have a vote from the qrk community. Please keep your PoS fad to yourself. PoS is good for nothing, BTW it can be killed with hardly any investment. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=604716.new#newWould this also apply to a hybrid PoS/PoW for quark? or is it for 100% PoS coin only The more the PoS blocks in ratio to PoW, the higher the probability of a successful attack. If PoW difficulty is low enough, its easy to attack both PoW and PoS. Do do you have any suggestion for this issue? But right now we are quite a weak and anyone could easily destroy Quark both with market manipulations and 51% mining attack and it will be cheap for them. Let's admit it and work this out. But it's easier to kill any 100% PoS coin. Besides Quark's quick difficulty retarget makes it 51% or 52 or even 99% resilient; if you got to improve on that, you just need to change the difficulty algo to more aggressive difficulty retargets. If a crypto has fast difficulty re-targets, it's difficulty to do a 51% attack, cause in the forked chain the difficulty will increase rapidly and will soon reach the target block times, the block time of the main chain will be the same, making a 51% attack impossible. If the main chain's difficulty was high cause of the attacker's majority hashing power, it'll drop to sustain a block interval equal to the attacker's fork chain.

The moment Quarks turns to PoS, I'll dump all my coins.

encryption wrt? Wallets already can be encrypted. Encrypt the protocol. Thats quite useless and not feasible anyway. Yes, HTTPS, FTPS and all encryption is useless too. NSA is too dumb to make an openssl library in the first place. I suggest you remove that tux logo of yours and replace it with a big Windows 8 one.

The buyers at comkort got no idea of the prices of ENC.
Their orders will never be fulfilled unless another desperate nerd miner drops by.

No one is going to make a GPU miner for another generic coin with randomized algorithm and 3 pages worth posts with a stranger author claiming to give 10 BTC for the miner.
Yeah -- agreed the nerds are dumb desperate miners selling their coins cheap to save a few seconds, but they're not that dumb when it comes to computers.

Some lucky bastards caught ENC for ridiculously low price.
@dev What do you think about establishing prize/bounty for creation of more ENC pools? Is it a good idea?
I wish that was me. I bet the reason for no pools is scrypt-n. Maybe you should announce in the mining forum -- [need pools] scrypt-n diff 1.1. And remove that swisscex link. The removed ENC from their voting page.

Why did you make this topic self moderated? This's a big issue. And maybe one of the reasons why it's held back. You may like to add "any doubts about the self-moderated topic can be discussed in this link."
