there is still no exchange...we could start trading with a google spreadsheet???
Yes, or a post in marketplace but the issue now is that pnut is unknown by many crypto fan and maybe the sell could be difficult. No fans of a coin who's dev has abandoned it.

I'm curious, what is your attraction to be holding Quark? I know it comes down to money, but I mean what specifically about Quark? I've already said, for me, the alternative distribution model is interesting for me. The security aspect is nice but not as big.
Thx, IAS
Quark is nothing to me , right now. I was at one moment holding like 40 alts or so. The thing that really bother me about quark is that i haven't sold more than 50% of my holdings in December. Is probably one of the only coins I thought it could bounce back even more and make more out of it. I haven't done the same mistakes with other coins , but I thought at that moment quark may be different. Man , I was wrong!!! Excluding doge (not released at that moment) , you see that all the top coin are different , bit, lite, peer have some big difference between them. I thought quark is going for the 4th spot with ease. And when I look back , i don't know why i assumed that. Probably all my rantings are because of my previous assumptions not coming through , and I feel the need to unleash some of the frustration... Ummmm, you didn't answer my question. ehehe I asked: I'm curious, what is your attraction to be holding Quark? I know it comes down to money, but I mean what specifically about Quark?Since you are in it for the money, you must have some solid and specific reasons (I hope!). IAS I thought I made it clear , it's about not losing money , like selling at a possible loss. While technically it's not a true loss , I don't feel like selling the rest at 1/4 of the price I sold my first batch. And , hmm , maybe some of the attraction is because I can still put some hope in it going back up , but that is shrinking by the day. I have a few other coins that i'm still holding a few satoshi worth of them , but in their case I lost hope a long time ago , so I won't even bother bitching about. So really , no solid reasons to hold them , (( And admitting to myself and writing it down makes it even more painful. The stable prices will make people buy it up and increase the prices. People will realize it's value as a currency. The QRK market will never be that volatile if you're looking for that.

The faucet doesn't work, we got a small wallet sync issues (wallet is always at sync). The dev has to respond to these at least for the coin to be considered alive.
I smell a community take over a brewing! How about the community make some changes to this coin, like add some features like PoS or kitomo gravity, those seem to be the thing these days... i found a working link to the source code for LDC in a post over in the Chinese language section... https://github.com/lead-coin/leadcoinThe post where that link came from.. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=425688.0just my two cents... It'll fail. There's never a community takeover. The dev's gone, the coin's gone. PoS is horrible. It's the worst thing ever. It encourages holding the coins as investment, avoiding it's circulation, i.e. true use as a cryptocurrency. Then worst -- PoS looks at the coin age; the longer you're holding a large amount of cryptocurrency, the higher the chance of mining a block, which further reduces chance of circulation. However if the profits proof of stake is giving you is negligible, then we may nullify this disadvantage. You need to run a full node in order for the wallet to mine blocks based on PoS and it should be up always; how many people will do that? (especially when the interest rate is low)? When these coins will be made popular, 90% people will run paper wallets giving power to the hands of these 10%; thus an attack may not be that hard to do. That's why PPcoin is so much high in the crypto list. People will hold it like a commodity, but when it comes to buying things with it, people wont do it -- cause it's a commodity, not a currency. And that explains why PPcoin distribution is so horrible.

The self moderated topic killed the coin. These old tricks dont work. The's a scam coin called suncoin going on, and he does the same thing. But everyone knows. A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by the starter of a self-moderated topic. There are no rules of self-moderation, so this deletion cannot be appealed. Dev does not connect since 5 days ago. This coin is dead if he does not do anything
He's kind of passive. 5 days ago, he updated the top post to add new exchange. He needs to be more active otherwise the coin is dead. This coin is gaining up fast, people are supportive. But only if the dev... In fact, the no. 1 reason for a dead coin is an inactive dev.

If you really want to see GPU resistant, see XPM and QRK algo, cause they require decision making so a practical GPU miner is not possible.
ASIC is always possible unless the algo is an x86 instruction set.
|
|
|
"CPU only" should be taken out of the specifications on the main page, maybe replace it with ASIC Resistant. And that confirms what I just said above.

Super secure hashing algorithm: 11 rounds of scientific hashing functions (blake, bmw, groestl, jh, keccak, skein, luffa, cubehash, shavite, simd, echo) So this became pointless against scrypt. But once scrypt has an ASIC, this'll be of some use for some time cause this'll too have an ASIC later on.

If you want this coin listed in Poloniex, the dev has to be more active and answer questions -- Send us an email and tell us about your coin. There is no set of rules, but we like to see evidence of the developers' dedication to the project, community interest, and, more than anything, innovation. If your coin is truly innovative in some way, it is more or less guaranteed to be accepted by Poloniex.
