81  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-28] St. Louis Federal Reserve says Bitcoin is 'Like Regular Currency' on: April 30, 2018, 05:10:11 AM
That's true. The only value inherent in the dollar is the government's power to tax, which gives it a revenue base to pay its debts. So as the U.S. dollar's value lies in its authority over people, you might say that Bitcoin's value lies in its lack of authority over anyone--that is, it can be trusted because it is not centrally controlled and has no inherent bias, unlike the Federal Reserve.

It's kind of refreshing to hear a Federal Reserve bank be so honest.
82  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-27] How Women Could Send Bitcoin to the Moon on: April 29, 2018, 04:56:10 PM
There are definitely women who are interested in Bitcoin, just not as many as men it seems. I don't want to get in trouble by explaining the reasons for this, but generally men are more interested in risky behavior Tongue
83  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-27] Paypal’s Former CEO Says Bitcoin Investors Are ‘Drinking the Kool-A on: April 29, 2018, 04:41:53 PM
Instead of FUDing on crypto, he should be getting in the press helping me understand why I should believe that Paypal will still be a legit payment processor after eBay drops them.
84  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-29] The Premier Of Bermuda Signs A Partnership With Binance on: April 29, 2018, 04:38:46 PM
For countries like Bermuda, the сryptocurrency is a chance that they can not afford to miss. This would help raise the country to a new level. It is a pity that not all governments understand this.

I agree. Cryptocurrency provides a great opportunity for countries without a lot of financial infrastructure to even the playing field.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think SCS can reach the top 100 on: April 29, 2018, 04:37:18 PM
With a limited token supply, fast network and hybrid network, if the roadmap proceeds as planned, I could definitely see it happening.
86  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-29] Taiwanese Bitcoin Regulations Expected by November 2018 on: April 29, 2018, 03:50:32 PM
Interesting how taiwan takes an opposite stance from china..
I do think this regulation is necessary though. If they dont put some kind of regulation on btc, money laundering would be impossible to stop. Especially since its price is gaining momentum, it's becoming the perfect tool for laundering. If this works, maybe other governments would be more lenient on welcoming bitcoin.

Why the obsession with money laundering? If something is illegal, why not stop the illegal act instead of prostituting the currency as a Big Brother crime-fighting tool?
87  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-29] 4 Blockchain Experts On The Future of ICOs on: April 29, 2018, 03:48:15 PM
Yikes. How can the government regulate and control the stock market if it's based on blockchain? It would have to be compromised. So much for decentralization.
88  Economy / Economics / Re: Brazil in the process of regulation. Good or bad? on: April 29, 2018, 03:29:53 PM
It is good from the perspective that it means cryptocurrency is generating enough attention and investment to warrant the government paying attention to it. It will likely "regulate" it and set "standards" for it, which for some people will provide more of a reason to trust it and make it even more popular.

The downside is that the regulation and government authority will make cryptocurrencies dependent on government to some extent, which is antithetical to the principles that Bitcoin and many cryptocurrencies were founded upon. The more this authority over cryptocurrencies evolves, some day cryptocurrencies may build government back doors right into the architecture. You might say that you will only use open-source cryptocurrencies and you will know when they do this, but if the public is okay with the government regulating and dominating cryptocurrencies, they can push closed source cryptos with nary a peep.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin will rise more? on: April 29, 2018, 03:22:35 PM
Just like a noob selling out on the first leg up. Tongue But seriously, he seems conflicted about whether it was a good thing or a bad thing. If he truly sold out to "avoid conflicts of interest" like he says, then it should have been the right decision.
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are banks and governments scared of Bitcoin? on: April 29, 2018, 05:53:30 AM
Governments are in the money business. They create fiat money and are able to manipulate to serve all kinds of purposes. When you propose to use something other than fiat money as a store of value, the government can't manipulate or control it as well. If you were able to interact everyday solely in Bitcoin and lived in the US, the US raising interest rates to curb the money supply wouldn't have much effect on you. And banks get all their money by borrowing it from the government, so being at odds with the government is a bad move for a bank.
91  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-28] SEC: ICO Tokens Should Be Regulated as Securities, Not Bitcoin on: April 28, 2018, 11:23:20 PM
How does the SEC treat tokens backed by fiat like Tether? Could one back their ICO token with fiat and still have it be taxed like Bitcoin?
92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The domain registrar knows the real identity of Satoshi Nakamoto? on: April 28, 2018, 05:54:31 PM
I wouldn't want to deal with the guilt of exposing the real Satoshio Nakamoto. Imagine the extortion risk this person would face.
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ‘Bitcoin’ was the 9th most read article on Wikipedia in 2017 on: April 25, 2018, 09:00:00 PM
Bitcoin's push to 20k made news in 2017. The popularity of a Wikipedia article usually depends on the subject making news. Hopefully, Bitcoin will make more news in 2018 and so will other cryptos.
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Study Result: Halal Bitcoin In accordance with Islamic Sharia on: April 24, 2018, 12:15:04 AM
Honestly, I am very happy after reading this news, because I am a Muslim.

A study results say, Bitcoin according to Islamic Shari'a. The results of this study open the market potential Bitcoin wider reach 1.6 billion Muslims around the world.

What do you think of this?

Do you think that many Muslims respect his decision or is it something that a lot of Muslims might disagree with him about?
95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Anomaly of Time & Events! Thoughts! on: April 22, 2018, 04:51:14 PM
Of course every Quarter there is at least something that will bring the market to its dramatic fall or exponential. The question is what event in Q3 that will really push the price to the next levels. So far, based on speculation there are a few that I can think of.

1. Muslims saying that bitcoin is not illegal
2. Soros and other hot shot institutional investors joining the picture
3. Renewed interest on bitcoin again after the filing of Tax in the US

So far it looks good as we have been enjoying a significant growth since we double bottom at $6K. Let's see how it pans out but we are clearly like we are witnessing a bull run.

I agree. I think these are fine fundamental/sentimental reasons to support the near-term increase in Bitcoin's price.
96  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-20] Bitcoin Bull Trap? Not So, Says Lesser-Known Price Indicator on: April 22, 2018, 03:47:38 PM
Is it possible that the market has changed so fast? That a rise in ETH/BTC is no longer detrimental to BTC/USD, but that money is coming in from somewhere other than BTC to buy ETH?
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't you think government are playing with us as always? on: April 22, 2018, 03:32:09 PM
We saw so many news that bitcoin ban this country those country did we think why? if we see government ban bit coin and then they plan to open their own crypto currencies .
how you see government are doing this and what are the reason i believe government are kind of scared of bitcoin to take over them they can not control our money.what would be your thought behind banning bitcoin? and after math?
Governments are scared of cryptocurrency for sure, it's a competing store of value and means of exchange in opposition to their fiat. Governments can manipulate fiat to meet the goals and expectations of the society or the leadership, but bitcoin is more tied to supply and demand. This means that corrupt countries will want to ban it and socialist countries will seek to infiltrate and control it.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China is really strict with ICO on: April 22, 2018, 02:49:28 PM
There are signs that the Chinese ICO ban is not as bad as anticipated. You have to admit that ICOs can bring out a criminal element.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: receiving coins from ICO is taxable? on: April 22, 2018, 02:40:20 PM
I have no tax on cryptocurrency in the country. This is nonsense I think. The state does not help me to develop in the world of cryptocurrencies. And I have to pay tax? This is stupid!
The government wants to punish you for not using their fiat currency. And also to prevent you from hiding wealth and income there.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why the current crypto currency market is worse than the Rothschild central bank on: April 22, 2018, 02:28:45 PM

Why the need for bitcoin black?
The founding members of bitcoin own 95%+ of the entire crypto sphere! Founding members are disguised as Satoshi.
The new money system is doomed! The main need in the crypto space is a fair distibution with education to truly empower users, not to continue on the old path of money centralisation painted in a different picture based on tech.

From the start they owned the majority of  bitcoins and manipulated the price to accumulate more of a share in each project.
From this point any other project accepted bitcoin in ICO's and as accumulation through manipulation accumulated their holdings they invested a stake in the other altcoins.
Founding members get involved in a large stage and over time through manipulation accumulate more and more of a market share of the major projects.
Still at a small total market cap 400 Billion the manipulation continues with one goal to own more of a share of each crypto.
December 2017 masses were lured into crypto for the first time strategist to make them lose faith in the space and lose money. Many other rounds of luring will take place and accumulation of a greater % stake will take place into new upcoming projects.

It is the transitioning of the old money to the new money, owning more of a share in the new money than before. Making it seem fair, accidental and a betterment to humanity. When in fact its more slavery and concentration of wealth to the elite.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3124440.new#new

well thats right, but the cryptocurrencies solve issues related to poverty and lobbyism of the established system elites,

after the cryptoeconomics scene is established there will be a new central bank and people can chose the cryptocurrencies they work for

regards

If we are just replacing one central bank with another, what is the freedom in that? The same abuses will be carried out with crypto rather than fiat.
