As of blackcoin, it's the easiest one to kill with 51%.

Darkcoin, namecoin and Quark.
The reason for Quarks is cause of it's combination of good specs. See sig for details. There're 2 or 3 better and active cryptos though which haven't made it yet.
Darkcoin cause it has unique security features and DGW, but otherwise it's just like another alt by design.
Namecoin cause a decentralized DNS system was always required and it's need will never end. There's scope of improvements though in the economic front.

Apparently the wallet has a bug.
When solo mining across multiple hosts (2 in my e.g.), cpuminer/sph-sgminer complains "Waiting for work to be available from pool".

According to my ratings --
1) Probe -- BUT self moderated topic, potential scam. 2) Undisclosed -- until I mine a significant amount, I wont disclose. It's difficulty is too high to mine. 3) Undisclosed -- until I mine a significant amount, I wont disclose. It's difficulty is too high to mine. 4) O2oCoin -- BUT dev gone, coin dead. 5) Undisclosed -- until I mine a significant amount, I wont disclose. It's difficulty is too high to mine. 6) Quark

You may like to add a new, yet easy to implement feature in the wallet.
Each version of the wallet will have an 'expiry time', i.e. no of blocks after which it'll stop syncing (for e.g after 6 months or a year etc...). This'll force the user to regularly update the wallet in case of security issues and will make hard forks very easy to implement in a very large scale without causing users confusion.
new feature = popularity = success.
Even the smallest feature is a plus in this age of 700+ alts.
And you better do it quick before the block rewards reduces too much.

Also I would suggest you increase the inflation to 3-5% a year. This much of inflation is good. Stability in prices -- Cryptocurrencies are not commodities. It's designed to be spent and a medium to receive payments from. If a cryptocurrency is not that, it's basically a pump and dump scheme.
Actually if you see for a fair cryptocurrency which is not seen as an investment, there should be a little bit inflation, cause that way people will not hold on to it like investment; instead they'll use it to buy investments like shares and gold -- which is something to be seen as an investment. Even real currency have an inflation problem and it's usually more than 0.5%. Actually it depends on the country. But do people have problem with that? If they did not like their current currency, they always had options. They whould've chosen fossil fuels anytime (who's value will always increase); the reason why they didn't is cause the inflation of national currency is negligible for them cause they use the national currency to spend, rather than invest and hold.

Instead of doing a 25x payout, I suggest the multiplier should increase with the level. Cause skilled players deserve more.
Also there should be a balance and donation address for the game.

VertCoin will explode in the coming months.
Once scrypt ASICs care out. It's true. All complex algo coins (X11, Quark, scrypt-jane) will spike.

A strong reason to play again.

BTW, if anyone is interested in maintaining a BFGMiner port, please feel free to get in touch with me...
I complained to you about this bug which persists for every cgminer fork for almost all algorithms. But you ignored it saying it's a scrypt bug which you no longer maintain. I get 100% HW errors.

I think it's time this coin migrates to scrypt-n.

Where can I report bugs related to the miner?
|
|
|
I get 100% hardware errors with this -- /vertminer -o 192.168.1.2:9041 -u test -p test --nscrypt --scan-time 1 -I 12 In case of bit of history, with cgminer I get 100% hardware errors, that's why I use reaper. sgminer works fine. vertminer is a direct fork of cgminer, it has inherited the bug.

I support titties!! Wish someone else would just take it over and run with it. Such a universally loved concept :-)
EDIT: But please do not destroy all the beautiful titties that I have motorboated in the process :-(
I love titties too!!

The miner gives me 100% hardware errors.
Assuming your using Thorcoinminer Lower your settings and raise them a little at a time. Or enter in your mining string and I can tell you what is wrong. DISPLAY=":1" ./ybcminer -o localhost:9054 -u test -p test -g 1 -I 5 -w 128 In case of bit of history, with cgminer I get 100% hardware errors, that's why I use reaper. sgminer works fine. This ybcminer is a direct fork of cgminer, it has inherited the bug.

Someone posted this problem with quark.
The solution was to open ports so more nodes can be added.
