281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: August 18, 2019, 03:01:44 PM
Hi,

I been mining rvn for about 8 months now. I use a the iOS wallet never had a problem. But now for what ever reason the wallet won't sync, it sits at 5%. I cannot access my coins to send. I tried discord but that seem like a waste of time. No one helps there.

Can someone Please help me here?

Are you talking for an official iOS wallet from Ravencoin devs or another iOS wallet?
If it's working (you can see your old balance) but can't sync after a certain point, then it must be because of an outdated wallet version. But 5% is too little....
282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting feature at exchange on: August 18, 2019, 08:28:21 AM
TopBTC looks like another scummy, dead exchange which is used by bots alone.
I tried to ready this betting related announcement you linked, but I couldn't understand much through their terrible English. Another Chinese exchange I suppose?

I don't see it as anything useful really, as someone said very accurately... "Jack of all trades, master of none", though the "all trades" part is not very accurate here!  Tongue
283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever won a huge amount on gambling? on: August 18, 2019, 08:01:56 AM
Yes, about $10k... But it was a demo in which I went all in at a random thing while trying to figure out how it works and I just happened to get extremely lucky!

284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the best gambling games originally from Asia? on: August 18, 2019, 08:00:16 AM
I have to ask... What does the origin matter? There's no context given by the OP.
A random guy registers a new account and posts a random 1-sentence question...  Huh
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] The International 2019: Dota 2 World Championship on: August 18, 2019, 07:57:23 AM
Fnatics are my long lasting favorites! ...since they won the 1st LoL season with xPeke!
Then Korean no-lifers joined the games and kinda ruined monopolized everything...
286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Things That Comes Into Your Mind When Winning... on: August 18, 2019, 06:52:11 AM
The first things are those I know are wrong... "wow this is going great, I was thinking of stopping here but maybe I should not, it has momentum!"

About half of the time though, my logic wins and I stop when I must.
287  Economy / Gambling / Re: Saikoro | #1 Bitcoin Dice Roulette 🎲 on: August 17, 2019, 12:29:56 PM
Nice design, shows fluent in movies too.
I just couldn't find a guide about the game anywhere, I'm not familiar with this dice game so I'm not sure how it'd work.

Also, a demo-like experience with fake balance would be great.
288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CROWDSALE FINISHED] Blockport: The first social crypto exchange on: August 17, 2019, 12:26:23 PM

Yes it is, they've closed shop and they are supposingly working on the development in a slower pace with a smaller team and on a smaller scale... But to be honest I believe this is crap and they won't be releasing anything.

If they had stick with their initial plan to work with ARK.io and bring a social trading platform, that'd have worked great for them. But for more than a year they were in an identity crisis and their developers were also incopetent probably... After so long their update were few and minor.
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - DPoS with Dynamic Fees 🔹 New CORE v2🔹 ARK Deployer 🔹 on: August 17, 2019, 12:19:42 PM
people will soon realize that this project will become a big community, I know this is a hidden treasure, don't be trapped and regret having dumped it at a cheap price just because of the manipulation of bad bots,
This might open your eyes and be an example of the first step in how later powered by ARK works on its ecosystem, even smartcontracts can be made on each bridgechain, because ARK provides a customizable blockchain to suit your needs or products,

https://mobile.twitter.com/Qredit_io/status/1158128016498798601

Qredit and Hodler enterprise just begin to build and launch their own smart contract and some ICO

https://mobile.twitter.com/arktoshidotcom/status/1162150595668541440

I believe the current situation is making sense if you realize that there are not many real traders at this time, what we have is the following groups...

  • Bitcoin maximalists: Always active even in bear markers, real believers of crypto but in a blind way, they think everything other than BTC is trash.
  • Bots: Most of the volume in every or most exchanges is fake.
  • Idiots: They'll follow the masses without doing any research. When it becomes obvious a coin is favorable they'll buy the top too late and when something is in correction or a doomed fail, they'll sell the bottom.
  • Clever investors: Most of them have already made a lot of money, therefore some don't bother with crypto anymore, some might be waiting for better prices and some might be buying in again in every drops little by little.

From all of these groups, ARK is only being benefited by the last one, and there are not many of them unfortunately.
I hope in the future Bitcoin will bring in more clever investors in the space and they'll find ARK.

Wouldn't your worries go away if you'd just hold your funds yourselves guys? If you're all so worries about who's securing your funds, just deposit what you're planning to exchange and then withdraw back!

That's the only way I've been doing things forever!
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ERC20] PlusToken(PLUS) - MobileWallet on: August 16, 2019, 02:52:43 AM
What can I say... People love scams!

This space is not filled with just greedy people, but it's filled with stupid greedy people!
Who is sending their money to unknown people as long as they promise high returns? Why would someone unknown give you high returns? Really.... $3 billions means there's a lot of stupidity yet!
292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I've lost on: August 15, 2019, 06:18:00 PM
I've lost big. Over the last two or three years, I've lost 60K in total. It was almost my entire savings.
It started out with a large investment in bitcoin when the price was about 13K.
When the price dropped to below 4K, I lost all hope after waiting forever and gambled it on bitcoin gambling sites trying to triple it up, just to make my money back.
I lost that and a lot more. Never imagined it turning out this way. Especially after the price went back up.
I don't have a lot of close people to turn to nowadays. It's hard to get through each day feeling horrible. Just needed to reach out somewhere.
Sorry if this isn't the place.

I came here ready to troll a troll but I feel like you are sincere about it and not a troll... I'm really sorry for your loss Sad
I used to be feeling bad every time I was losing like 50€ in the stock market, so I don't know how it is to have lost so much.

Well, money is an illusion after all, just paper. They offer the illusion of security and happiness, but the truth is that they can't buy you either.
Sure, you can buy more fancy clothes or a faster car with more money, but it's not like those are necessary and they don't bring any happiness.
Just focus on your real life and on the people around you mate, you don't need money to make real friends (and having fake friends who want you for your money is worse than not having friends!), so I'm sure you can live just fine and happily even without those lost money.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - DPoS with Dynamic Fees 🔹 New CORE v2🔹 ARK Deployer 🔹 on: August 15, 2019, 06:07:02 PM
Welcome Ray!
Please, bring a good game into ARK!!

One good candidate I'd like to suggest is Ember Sword, they are on a kinda early development stage... they have created many assets for their game but they haven't announced any collaboration with a blockchain.
They plan to have a hybrid model of off-chain and on-chain assets and from what I've read on their Whitepaper, ARK would be perfect for their plans!
294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Satoshimines.com when can I get in? on: August 15, 2019, 07:32:30 AM
Isn't this weird? Why would any gambling site not want as many players as possible?

I haven't seen closed registration sites since I was downloading torrents as a kid, it only makes sense if you want to lock out bad behaving people.
But for Satoshimines more players should translate to more income for them.... I don't get it!
295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you buy lottery online in bitcoin payment? on: August 14, 2019, 04:39:14 PM
Only if I have a 100% chance of winning by playing all the possible combinations and the prize is much higher than my cost! Roll Eyes
But even then... I'm kinda bored to go through all that trouble, so I won't! Grin
296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Dice - why do you play in a particular casino? on: August 14, 2019, 04:35:35 PM
As a web developer, I'm a bit sensitive to the design and presentation of a site, but I know most scams will put much work on their design as well (since it's the only thing they'll build anyway).

So I'd go with years of presence and generally good ratings/reputation from the community.
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - DPoS with Dynamic Fees 🔹 New CORE v2🔹 ARK Deployer 🔹 on: August 14, 2019, 04:27:11 PM
By asking them to manipulate the price, you mean that you want them to spend their development budget to buy up more of their own coin, centralizing it in the process so that you and some other "investors" can sell their ARK at a higher price, right?

Then the price would fall again, ARK team wouldn't have enough development budget, the projected would die.

Is that what you're asking? Is this what an investor wants or maybe what a short-term moon-boy wants?

I would consider myself a real investor and what I want is for ARK to finish their product, start big collaborations and have many apps and games built on it. Then, I can feed from the fee profits on these services.

Not that you are wrong for preferring coin development over manipulation, but it just struck me how the entire US stock market works exactly the way the other fellow suggested. Companies are constantly buying back their own stock.

Some of the coins now being crushed by BTC may have to resort to a 'stock buyback' so to speak, if they hope to survive to see another altseason, that is. I wouldn't view it as short term moon-boy stuff, it's more like an issue of coin survival.

The ARK token is not a stock.  Doing any form of "buyback" would result in the ARK token being labelled as a security, and could therefor be delisted on various exchanges such as Bittrex. This would also prevent the token from being listed on exchanges going forward. A buyback is not an option for ARK.

I don't think buyback is a deciding factor for a coin to be labeled a security.
Maybe IF a company was to "promise" (high) returns through buybacks, then that'd be considered as a security.
But a project team buying and/or using their own token/coin sounds fine to me.
298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man won 12 times in lottery on: August 11, 2019, 05:35:58 PM
If the numbers are picked using true random integers then this is a statistical impossibility, unless you have bought lots of tickets

And actually that's exactly what he did, he was looking for jackpots from many different lotteries in which he'd win 3 times the amount he'd spend to play every possible combination.
He was playing the combinations from PCs and with the help of people he was registering the tickets to multiple offices.

Pretty simple solution for 100% win chance, as long as you have the strength to print every possible combination!
299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is parlay an effective betting strategy? on: August 11, 2019, 02:18:38 PM
I've won some good amount with paylay in sports betting in the past but when I start doing it in a regular basis, it seems my overall return is negative.
So my question, do you bet on parlay and why?, and what's the biggest odds you've won so far?
I have do parlay, and only a little odds. Because at first i don't know what is parlay and end with lose.  Grin I think parlay is good like there are something that can expert that can do to increased their income. Like something 1 level above normal level that we can do.

Good for you, but I still don't understand what parley is and nobody is explaining it!
I came here hoping to read an explanation! 😋
300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: August 11, 2019, 07:17:26 AM
Reading the title I couldn't but say it.... there are also people who die of gambling you know!
And I wonder if anyone is lucky enough to live out of it,  can they be truly happy? Living without providing any work sounds boring.
