461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - DPoS with Dynamic Fees 🔹 New CORE v2🔹 ARK Deployer 🔹 on: June 11, 2019, 07:05:20 AM
ARK will be added to Dobi exchange on June 10th. For deposit and withdraw opening times please see their blog post https://www.dobiexchange.com/news/detail/935.html

So they've changed it to July 10?

It still says June 11 we'll be able to deposit ARK.
I don't have an account in DOBI so I can't test it, but if you're interested you can go see if ARK is available for deposit.

Trading should open tomorrow (in about 19 hours).

Easy money exist through investments but when people thing gambling s form of making money they are going to lose more. But I do realized that when eomone is poor they think and see gambling will make them richer so they keep allocating some part of their earnings for betting with the hope they are going to win someday but if they did same thing investment their dream will come true.

The problem is, people can't distinguish gambling from investing.
Many put their money in a random coin or a pot-stock which seems cheap and they'll think they have invested, when the fact is they're gambling in a high risk entity with little or no prior investigation.
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Grin Observer - GRN/BTC - Price Movement and Discussion on: June 09, 2019, 07:41:57 PM
Just stumble upon this project now and as usual,,, I find something I like when it is quite late! I only have one privacy coin, Monero, and sorry to ask here now when I should look through the thread but there are so many.

Does anyone believe that a project with good support and obviously serious developers have a chance when coins like Monero are so well established?

Grin is not private, all transactions are broadcast

Well, if nothing was broadcasted it'd be centralised system. In order to be a decentralised one, it needs to broadcast some data.
But I'm pretty sure that what is broadcasted can only be used to confirm a transaction, without any knowledge of what's inside the transaction. Only the parties included in the transaction can use their keys to "unlock" or decrypt the details of their transaction.

If I'm mistaken on something, please enlighten me!
464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The way to win in gambling on: June 08, 2019, 09:21:33 PM
Many people ask how can we be lucky enough to win in gambling. The only way to make luck in our favor is to think and play positively. If you play with a hope to win, you will win many times. Similarly if you play with a fear of loss, you will loss most of the times.

Fear or confidence in gambling won't change anything related the result of our game. Luck is the only thing that we need to get the better result. And unfortunately no one knows when the luck will come.
What your saying is true but didn you hear the saying that " being positive attract luck "  ?  You wont loose in trying so why not try to be positive everytime tou play a gambling game .  in that way you will still feel good no matter what will be the outcome of the game  . win or loose your still smiling and that is the best attitude that a gambler must have which accepting his defeat  . not only in gambling but that can also be applicable in any  other things  in life  .
I agree about "play with a fear of loss", that is my main problem when betting and with that fear makes me change my strategy when I bet. Actually, if I am confident in the initial strategy and continue to use that strategy then I will get a better profit and not end with regret. So in my opinion, the way to win in gambling depends on each individual and only you feel and will get that way, because every gamble has a different way of getting win.

Well, for me it feels like whenever this "fear of loss" makes me change my initial decision, it's for the worse, and when I ignore it and push on, it's again for my loss!  Cheesy

It's possible that this false though, maybe we tend remember only the bad times and forget all these times fear saved us, or we just don't know that we were saved from a big loss.

They are handling their first upgrade (hard fork) very professionally, I like their style!

And to think their only source of income is from donations... truly remarkable!

Will grin have a wallet?

It's amazing how most of the posts in this page are from uses in my ignore list!

Seriously, don't FUDers have anything better to do?
People who can only spread misinformation without backing their words with real data and logical statements, deserve only an ignore.
467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i start a game here in the forum? on: June 07, 2019, 02:08:12 PM
Man, i've found a lot worse than yours.

You mean like this one? Man I'm not even sure if it's a real person or a robot! Or maybe a cat? Cats should be at about this level in English! Roll Eyes

Yes you can really do that easily by the help of this forum because we also do something like changing everything if your project is different from the nothing then it will definitely been successful for you when compared to the normal time the possibility is more increased in this forum.
468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i start a game here in the forum? on: June 07, 2019, 02:06:44 PM
Well, people do all sort of games here anyway: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=71.0
But if you're not already a well known member of the community, I'm afraid you wont have much success since people won't be quick to trust you.

Alternatively you could use a well known member as an escrow, but that would require a payment which will probably offset any gain you might hope to make from this game.

I heard there were people who lost a lot in Cryptopia v2 ehm... excuse me! I meant Poloniex.
Just who in their right mind trades dead coins with margin? And on a shady exchange nonetheless.

Hopeful this serves as a warning to other people.

<snipped quote...>

Just how do they plan to try step 1 (attempt to reorganise the company to make it profitable)?
They haven't even paid for their server, just how much are they on the red?

They might have gone through the same miscalculation as Nvidia, expanding too much too late in the last bullrun and when the prices dropped, their income was reduced so much that they could not pay for their expanded workforce and servers.
That's what I think.
471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is anonymous betting a desired feature? on: June 07, 2019, 10:14:07 AM
If it's built on crypto, there's no reason to require names and other personal data.

When transacting with fiat, you'd need to have legal contracts that will protect you in case a customer request a rollback in their payment. But since with crypto a transaction cannot be rolled back, you don't need any verification other than the money having been received to your wallet.

Where can we stake ARK, in order to get the staking rewards and what was the percentage they are sharing on a yearly basis because we have seen many potential coins are following POS model which companies are attracting many community members in order to get the staking rewards.

Can't you put a bit more effort while farming posts for your signature payment? The answer was two posts above you,

You're put in the ignore list.
473  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Blender, anonymous bitcoin mixer on: June 06, 2019, 12:40:26 PM
Shouldn't people just start using GRIN instead and be done with the mixing services?
I suppose it's not as helpful as mixing services because there are cases when you just want to send BTC and nothing else, but overall GRIN has many advantages,
A) You don't need to trust a 3rd party (the mixing service) to send anonymously.
B) It's even more anonymous than mixing services since you can transact without even having a public address, but instead by exchanging a transaction file with the other party *.
C) There are no fees to be pay in a 3rd party and even the network fees are very low.

*I don't 100% understand how this works, so I might have said something wrong in point B. If anyone cares, you can try understand it more deeply by reading here: https://medium.com/@brandonarvanaghi/grin-transactions-explained-step-by-step-fdceb905a853

I guess it's still a bit too complicated to use GRIN, but hopefully this will change soon in order to provide people who want anonymity so badly with a great alternative to mixing.
474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CROWDSALE FINISHED] Blockport: The first social crypto exchange on: June 06, 2019, 12:27:04 PM
I definitely dont agree with anything exposed here. I am BPT token holder and will continue to be, for the good and for the bad. They have a great user friendly product(already running) and they also have the first mover advantage etc... Please, we need to differentiate between a scam and a running company(with office, team, product) that doesnt have enough capital to develop the daily activity. This means that once they do have this capital, everything will start again with that available capital, stronger partnerships or maybe even another company that adquires BPT. It has more sense to say that than say that BPT is a scam. We come from a bear market, and lot of companies run out of funding, that doesnt mean that they are scams, only that they need investors to continue with the activity. BPT, in my opinion, will be one of those that will get easily good investors. Its current price is 0.007$ for a company that came out of ICO and only lived through a bear market... I personally see it as a great opportunity to buy now, risk/reward ratio is huge, you can get a HUGE ROI on this rigth now. Lets say you decide to risk 250$ only, you could buy about 30.000BPT. In the worst case you lose 250$, and in the good??? You get a huge return. All of this, having in mind once again, that there is product, there is team, there is community, there is users, there is office etc...There is no money?OK, how much time will a big company with a lot of capital take to invest in a company like BPT and risk a little part of their portfolio on Blockport? In my opinion more than 1! We will see.

I don't see why would it rise though. The company's announcement was clear: no product release for the foreseeable future, and if anything is released it'll be at least a year later.
In the meantime of 1 year, real project could surge to 10x levels, so why would I hold BPT and hope for a miracle? I might as well put a automatic reminder to buy it in 10 months when it should be even cheaper, but my guess is it won't exist in any exchange by then because if the team is no more, then KuCoin will delist them sooner or later.

advise for a team

You can use this site for advice,
https://arkdelegates.io/
Vote for one which is marked as "public". The payout % might not be updated in this site though since it's a manual work; you'd do well to manually check the payout % of the delegates that interest you in their blogs/sites.
Personally I choose delegates based on their contribution. In the above site you can see a if a delegate has a green mark icon next to the "Contributes?" tag and then after clicking a delegate you can see in their page what kind of contribution they have offered (some might be doing marketing promotions to get the word out, others might be developing 3rd party software for ARK or some might be contributing in the github).

I need a wallet (what kind of wallet i can choose) after that i register an account for staking and vote. My ark stay on my wallet that it ?

There are official wallets for PC, Android and iOS. You can find the one you want and download it here: https://ark.io/ (see top-right corner)
Through these wallets you'll find an option saying "vote" or "vote for delegate", I don't remember the exact wording.

You can move your ARK freely after you vote, they stay in your wallet. Every delegate has slightly different rules but most take snapshots of your account more than once per day.
For example: If one day you hold 4200 ARK and 12 hours later you hold 1400 ARK because you spent some, your payment from the delegate for the 24 hours period will count an average holding of 2800 ARK and your payment will be about 0.60 ARK.

I was hopping I'd also do some free gambling after people click on my signature and play some games, but it seems that even though people are clicking on my signature and create accounts, no one has deposited or played any games yet!
Please, try 777coin! Roll Eyes  Cheesy
477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons Crypto Players Skip Casinos with KYC on: June 06, 2019, 08:55:03 AM
The article has 4 reasons, but I'll name a 5th one,
Uncertainty of tax/fees.

If someone has 49% to win $1000 and 51% to lose $1000, they might consider it a fair probability to gamble.
But if they are to be taxed 20% or 30% in case they win, then that's 49% to win about $750 or 51% to lose $1000. A pretty stupid gamble to take.
Therefore, in order to make sure one won't receive a bill in their doorbell after a few months, it's natural they'd expect an anonymity.

That's a 5th reason.

just posted a really nice article about ZNZ with some extensive information!

https://steemit.com/crypto/@lucasgabd/interview-with-joseph-bryce-hart-ceo-and-founder-of-zenzo-for-the-gamer-by-the-gamer-through-blockchain

you may want to check it out!

wow such a huge and well written article! Thanks for your time mate.

The Zenzo Forge is especially a cool feature. A developer can create NFT tokens and lock ZNZ coins inside them, then the players can either use the items (NFT tokens) as-is or smelt them into ZNZ coins!
You guys have very clever ideas. I'm intrigued to develop something on the forge.

Thanks for sharing!
The settlement speed could become faster I hope, I would definitely use it then if I'd meet such a machine.
When ARK returns to its deserved valuation of over $5, I'll be making enough ARK every day through staking to buy 1 coffee and a snack every day! Grin

Hi great vending machine video. I'm not sure for staking is it safe ?  Thanks for answer.

Of course staking is safe. Just vote for a delegate and get free Ark every day/week (depends on delegate and payment limits)...
