Ha ha on Russia. I wonder how long this will go on? Do you think that maybe the whole war is about selling more oil?

France was selling arms to Russia in 2022 while the sanctions were being imposed.
Russia is getting rid of its prisoners by sending them to fight in Ukraine, freeing up some space for new ones.
Countries that support Ukraine have a way to test their weapons in a real conflict. Some of these weapons like combat drones and new long range artillery systems were waiting many years for this.
A similar thing is happening in Russia where Armata and Terminator tanks can finally be used in battle.
The ones pulling the strings of this war are making money, regardless of the outcome. Just like pharmaceutical companies were making money during the pandemic.

Good point! Just goes to show us how many of the things we see aren't really the way things are.

The poor boy under the bridge grew up, and became Stalin, who killed dozens of millions of people over the years. He wrote in his log book margins after a good day of killing, that it was never enough.

Why did Stalin do this? Because the rich father never took him home to raise him right.

Not really, but you get the point.

<wall of text...>

Inflation is linked to interest rates. Ruzzia keeps inflation low by having nearly double interest rates. Now, stuff more graphs there, but try to understand the basics of economy first.

Let's get this clear: do you consider the attack on grain storages in Ukraine a terrorist act? A simple yes or no will suffice. I offer you a similar direct answer to any (non personal) similar question in exchange.

RE scalations, most of your assertions are false. ATACAMS have more range, more payload and are more difficult to intercept. The stormshadows are very obviously hitting high value targets, and I mean nearly every day,... You should try to read something that is not the official propaganda. The F-35 with some of the longer range rockets do not even need to get near to the front...

RE grain production in the US... well, your graph basically proves my point. US is a grain exporter and will benefit from higher prices. It is irrelevant if Ruzzia exports more or less, the price is the price. Look, seriously, just read ANY book on economy. You need them all.

Now, it seems that you are trying to deny any and all the capabilities built during decades by US and other... it just does not fly (note the pun), those weapons are effective like hell. The US has the potential to support Ukraine up by a factor of 10. They just do not want to - for now. Putin is nearly out of escalations other than nuclear, which he would loose (not that anyone wins in that case).

Latest thing, he is now promoting conflicts in Niger and Congo. But worry not, those will be dealt with in due time, first things first.

Anyway, while you theorise, reality is making a check on all that. Ukraine is moving at a faster pace and liberating some interesting bits of territory in the Zapo front. A trust towards Tohmak has become veeeeery posible. There are also some unconfirmed data on the lack of effectiveness of the "Surovikin line" of defence - there are not enough troops to actually defend it.

Oh, BTW, you are still thinking that somehow Europe has heating problems? Have you not read anything in the last year? Europe simply buys the gas from US an Norway, the countries affected are those that cannot pay the price.

I lost your point, so interest rate in US is now 5,5% and in Russia 3% higher at 8,5% (RUB) (was 20% at one point). What's your point, that Russian economy will collapse any second now?  China has become an "even more critical" economic partner for Russia, providing it with military equipment and helping the regime evade sanctions tied to the invasion of Ukraine, U.S. intelligence officials said in a report published Thursday. Totally unexpected, right? And look at Turkey, they're at 17,5% (TRY) going on few years at these high rates and they're not even at war.

Let's get this clear: do you consider the attack on grain storages in Ukraine a terrorist act?
This feels like a friend/foe, are you with/against us groupthink litmus test i.e. completely useless and devoid of reasoning. But nevertheless since you've asked nicely i'll comply. For whom Ukraine? NO.
Long answer: to objectify this, i'd frame this as country A attacking commodity for export in country B with no loss of life. Technically, strictly by definition, I guess that should be considered terrorism, but an attack on power/heating/water infrastructure is not (because that is always claimed to have military use). That's counterproductive and takes away from the real acts of terrorism. To me, terrorism is intentional, direct, or directly linked, loss or serious injury to civilian population without military justification. e.g. bomb in a subway, airliner targeted into a building, destroying food to cause hunger... But admittedly it's a spectrum, if anything I'd argue that inverse should be true, taking out a power grid in a city is more damaging to civilians than attacking some export storage.
...

So my question for you is at what point soldiers' lives should be considered and this carnage should stop being encouraged? Or are you in the "till the last Ukrainian until Crimea" camp?

Obviously the question is not if is terrorism from Ukraine, but from the RF. It is obvious that you are judging with a double scale (and assuming that there is no loss of life when attacking a silo... a long shot).  It seem that the attack on the Ministry of defence is not terrorism at all by your (veeery peculiar definition).

Anyway, the Ruzzians are well past the border of terrorism since the beginning of the war, but you are going to deny and throw dirt on any proof, so I will just let the official institutions do their research  and then let you deny.

You have change your view on the effectiveness of weapons... not useless after all... good, good, ... now you just to get familiarised with the differences between and we then can talk again. A million possible escalations are possible from the Ukrainian side, simply because the aid is very limited in all aspects. Just read the Ukrainian requests to US and see how they are fine with using more and better weapons that do exist.

To your question, which I have answered in many posts - the fight has to continue until a result that guarantees a future stable peace is reached. It is no use to surrender "to save lives" if the conditions for the next invasion are setup. As of now, if Putin gets his way to a significant degree, there will be another war soon and then another...

But hey, I also have a peace plan, just like you! Until when should the RF army hold the occupied territories? Just leave and save all those lives you care so much about.

But who can tell if you are telling the truth, or if Russia is?

Western special services created almost all major terrorist groups — Russian official

https://tass.com/politics/1651911
Almost all current major terrorist groups have been created, supplied and financed by special services that implement the decisions of Western countries, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolay Patrushev said at a BRICS meeting in South Africa.

"Almost all major contemporary terrorist groups have been created, supplied and financed by special services implementing the political decisions of the leadership of Western countries," he said at a meeting of high representatives in charge of security issues from Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa in Johannesburg, according to the Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper.

He said terrorism "as it now exists, is a direct tool to promote the influence of the US and its satellites."

According to Patrushev, Moscow regards joint counterterrorism efforts as one of the priority areas of cooperation within BRICS.

"We oppose the politicization of international anti-terrorist cooperation and the application of double standards in this area. We are convinced that the fight against terrorism must be based on universal norms and principles of international law," the official said.

We've got more charges dropping in a superseding indictment that also names a new third co-defendant, the head of maintenance at Trumps beach club.

I've only skimmed the new stuff but looks like it he wiped or tried to wipe the servers with the security footage that was subpoenaed and showed all the boxes being moved around.
10 new charges, new lying and obstruction related bringing the total up from 32 to 42.  And his lawyers just met with prosecutors about Trumps plot to steal the election with fake electoral votes so he will probably be indicted tomorrow or next week for something like Conspiracy to defraud the United States or (if Jacks balls are big enough) seditious conspiracy in a whole separate case in Washington DC.

Yep I read about it. They are also indicting by conspiracy some of the personnel that worked for Trump. I do not think that is fair play, but it may be the only way to get to some degree of thruth.

Trump is like an algorithm:
- If someone defies me, I insult.
- If someone says that I have committed a crime, it is a which hunt.
- If someone says I am wrong, is because an agenda.
- If someone says I am lying, it is a partisan issue.

Anyway, I just hope he does not get elected again, it is bad enough to endure a republican agenda without him.

Who likes the Biden team and what they have done to Americans and Ukraine?
- They cause Ukraine to have thousands of her men and boys killed in a war that's being lost.
- The have caused outrageous inflation in America, where people can barely live.
- The have used the US government for their own private gain in the millions.
- The are supporting virus warfare development in Ukraine, China, and around the world.
- They are constantly taking freedoms away from Americans.

But check out all the good things that Trump did - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5269905.msg55119252#msg55119252.

1327  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What factors affect life expectancy? on: July 28, 2023, 05:34:44 PM
Life expectancy is the average number of years people live within a society. It varies from countries and regions. It is as high as 87 years in some countries and as low as 56 years in some. The leading countries in high life expectancy include South korea, France, Japan and some other Asian countries. Many factors play a role with the key among them being pollution, habits and sometimes, culture.

However,  it seems there should be more that affect life expectancy that I would love to know. Let's discuss.

I consider heath care as a very big factor.
I am a Nigerian and I have lived in the rural area of the country and I have also lived in the 3 major cities of Nigeria (Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt). There is something about the rural dwellings. Most of them die because of far proximity of hospital to their homes. Before the rural dwellers could transport a patient to the hospital, they will die.

Also, the rural dwellers do not take malaria as a serious sickness as they neglect to treat it. And most of them die of malaria. Some will get to the hospital and no money for treatment as there is no health care package for the citizens.

Yes your right, as a young man, growing up from the rural area of my state I found it difficult to access good hospital for health care because we had nothing like that so even when there was an emergency we had to get a vehicle going to the city where we can find a hospital before the person will be attended to and most times the person who needs medical attention end of dying before getting to the hospital. And in the case of rural dwellers not being cautious about the deadly virus malari, I think most of them believe in self madication so when they are attacked by malaria they find it difficult to go to their local chemist which is the popular names they call people who administer drugs to them in the rural areas simply because they think the money they will spend on drugs will help them to get some food because of the level of hardship in the rural areas.

Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) has been proven effective for years for malaria. So has chlorine dioxide. But the medical tried to downplay HCQ when covid came along, because it was effective for covid, as well. The law is that if a drug in use is found that protects against a virus, then a vaccine can't be approved for virus use. So, the medical had to downplay HCQ so they could make money with their poisonous covid vaccines.

No vaccine has ever been safety tested - http://www.freedomsphoenix.com/Article/347562-2023-07-28-rfk-to-fauci-not-one-of-these-72-vaccines-has.htm.

Seems to me that the essence of what we really are is really the pattern of everything in our life. This includes the 'bio-electrical' form that we have in combined brain and nerves. It might include something beyond this - like our spirit - that science hasn't been able to figure out yet... but that is included in the pattern that makes us up.

The interesting thing about this is that God requires perfection. Why? Because if even one tiny law of physics, or any other law, were to be broken, the whole universe would come crashing down. After all, EVERYTHING works together, and it all works by cause and effect. A breaking of cause and effect, even in the tiniest law, means a break in everything. The whole thing fails.

Why didn't the whole universe crash when Adam and Eve sinned? Because Jesus, the Son of God, was holding it all together. He took the punishment for all the wrong deeds and emotions and thinking done, and held the universe together, thereby. His punishment for all sin was done while He was on the cross, but it affected all things for all time.

Since freedom for people is one of the things that God required besides their perfection, people are still required to be perfect. But now their perfection is based in one thing, rather than obeying every universe law perfectly. The one thing that perfection is based in is faith in Jesus as Savior... that Jesus will impart salvation and, ultimately, perfection, to all people who believe in Him. In the resurrection, those who have not had faith in Jesus and His salvation, will be given their life anyway, because Jesus made things perfect. But their life will be away from God, His strength, and His love, and the future joys in Heaven.

This is the major area where Islam fails. No man/woman has enough strength to be perfect before God as He requires. Only in Jesus can the perfection strength be found. Why? Because Jesus imparts it to those who believe in Him as Savior and as God.

Hahaha the government does not need to label any food as hazardous but based on the health effect of some food, you know some things you put inside your body can cause more damage than they are doing you good. Depending on your age, doctors and health officials have identified that as the age increase so also the limitation of some food, for example sugary foods, processed foods, red meat or smoked type of meat, eggs.

We all need to strongly remember one major thing that Covid taught us. Well over 500,000 people died in the US alone from doctor-recommended Covid protocols, including but not limited to the vaxx. And millions more died around the world from the same. Some sources suggest 2 billion died. And it is the doctors who can't agree on the numbers... because some of the doctors are more honest than other of the doctors.

So, listen to the doctors just to see what they have to say, but then look for other, better information from elsewhere.

Ukraine Complete Disaster – Neocons Lose Again?

https://www.theburningplatform.com/2023/07/25/ukraine-complete-disaster-neocons-lose-again/
The American Neocons are being confronted with the fact that there NEVER was any chance that Ukraine would defeat Russia and putting this high-heel questionable gender dancer in high heels in charge of war was in itself a war crime. There is absolutely no war Ukraine can win anything. This is why Zelensky has been so desperate o drag in NATO because he knows they cannot retake the Donbas no less defeat Russia. The American Neocons were hoping to weaken Russia so they could contrive some scheme to justify going in for the kill.

There are rumblings behind the curtain now that a peace deal has to be struck of Ukraine will collapse if their own troops do not rise up and assassinate Zelensky for his profiteering and slaughter of his own people. After all, numerous Roman generals found themselves in a position where they did not want to fight so they assassinated their leader. In the case of Maximinus I (235-238AD), his own men, humiliated by their defeat, now entered the tent of Maximinus and murdered him. To demonstrate their new loyalty to Rome, they cut off his head and sent it to Rome. This was no isolated incident. It became rather common for the troops when ordered to fight a wrong war, turned to assassinate their own general.

The fact that the Wall Street Journal on July 23rd wrote:

"Western military officials knew Kyiv didn't have all the training or weapons—from shells to warplanes—that it needed to dislodge Russian forces. But they hoped Ukrainian courage and resourcefulness would carry the day."

...

Zelensky’s dream of selling Ukraine to Blackrock is really disgusting. He has had no problem letter his country brun because the more that burns, the greater the rebuilding project. He has been bragging that this will be the biggest investment opportunity for Europe with no mention of how many Ukrainians must die for he dream. Many have compared him to Nero letting Rome burn so he could build his grand golden palace.

Ukrainian Tanks Are Running On Russian Oil Refined In Hungary & Turkey

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/ukrainian-tanks-are-running-russian-oil-refined-hungary-turkey
Ukraine's tanks are increasingly running on oil that comes from Russia in what German newspaper Handelsblatt describes as a paradox of war.

According to the Ukrainian customs authority, Kyiv is importing more and more diesel from Hungary and Turkey, both countries that process oil from Russia to a large extent in their refineries.

Although the market position of Hungary's MOL Group and Turkish suppliers in Ukraine was already relatively good in the past, it was only recently that the Ukrainian customs authorities reported a striking increase in imports.

For example, MOL, which is closely linked to the Hungarian state, doubled its sales to Ukraine in the past six months.

Since MOL purchases Russian oil to a large extent, it is now likely to be the main fuel for Ukraine's war machinery.

At the same time, companies that do not obtain their raw material from Russia are losing market share in Ukraine.

This is because MOL has a competitive advantage over other European oil companies: It has an exemption from the European Union to continue supplying its refineries with Russian crude oil.

Almost every drug we use has side effects. That is why it is more important to prevent diseases than to cure them because curing is more expensive and risky. For some time now I have considered using home remedies to cure some sickness in other to avoid the risks associated with chemical drugs and their effect on some vital organs in the body. But these homemade drugs from local leaves and roots seem to be ineffective in tackling some infections.

Like you admitted that all drugs have side effects, I believe you are referring to chemical drugs but those chemical drugs are also formulated from same local leaves, herbs and roots. In order words, home remedies of leaves herbs or roots also have effects.

One of the disadvantages of herbs and roots etc are that they don't have dosage. The human body varies and you have to scientifically know what body size takes what like in chemical drugs where there is classification of different levels of age to take a particular dose. So that is one major challenge of medicine not medically and scientifically proven. If you take an abnormal dose of home remedies, same organs are in trouble.

Who can answer a simple question?

I would be grateful if someone would give at least one example when Putin told the truth? Thank you.

There is nothing or no example that anyone will give that will be enough to change the opinion you have of Putin, an opinion that has been for a long time now, but you have to know that he has not always told lies like you think, and there will be some instances where he has been truthful. His behavior is not different from the behavior of other politicians in most countries that do not tell the truth, or tell the half truth about most  things to the press and the citizens.

In democratic countries, the president is severely punished for lying, where the media are just waiting to catch the president in a lie. There is no such thing in Russia. Putin lies, but he still forces the entire Russian people to support his lies. And if anyone is against it, a prison or "Novichok" awaits him. But what is surprising is that the Russian people for the most part support Putin's lies, and in this respect lies the uniqueness of Russia and its people. The Russian people have lived their entire history in a lie. In Russia, everything is saturated with lies. See my article "Empire of Lies and its chief liar" (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5408234.0)

Now you are inferring that the US is not a democratic country. You might be right, because they let Biden (Obama) keep on going without punishment.

Putin carefully interrupted him to let him know that people in Indonesia is mostly muslin, so they could not export pork there. They all laughed and continued the event.

I think that is the only instance of Putin saying a fact, which I can remember right now. If that counts to you, that is.

Baptists and LDS are forbidden from drinking and smoking. But that doesn't stop them... anymore than laws against pork stops Muslims.

Cool

Well, that is rather a personal thing to consider, since the relation with God is supposed to be personal with each one of us, if we believe or know we have failed his commandments, then it is up to us to ask for forgiveness for our weaknesses.

Though, I must say that dietary laws within Islam are quite strict and followed tightly, in my opinion, otherwise there were not so many brands looking to offer halal version of their products or certify their existing ones as halal, to appeal the Muslim population.

But 'personal' doesn't always work when sinning against God. Consider Joshua 7:1 in the Bible: "But the Israelites were unfaithful in regard to the devoted things; Achan son of Karmi, the son of Zimri, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took some of them. So the Lord’s anger burned against Israel."

If you read the whole chapter at https://biblehub.com/niv/joshua/7.htm, you will see that some of Israel's people died because of this sin of one Israelite.

Further, there are at least several times in the Old Testament where God blamed the whole community for the sins of certain people in that community. Sometimes it was Israel. Sometimes it was other nations. Genesis 15:16 says: "In the fourth generation your descendants will come back here, for the sin of the Amorites has not yet reached its full measure."
