People are just crazy. They’ll swear to anything if it fits with their beliefs. Most liberals probably think Mars is cooler than the Earth because there isn’t any pollution on Mars. It really isn’t brain surgery. The farther from the giant flaming ball we’re circling in space you get, the cooler the temperature. That’s the main factor.

Not entirely. The temperature on the surface of Venus is much higher than it should have been due to it's distance from the Sun.
The cause: currently Venus has an atmosphere with 96.5% CO2, 93 bars (~93X of earth) atm pressure and the temperature on the surface is a "balmy" 467oC (872F).
None of this could be "easily" explained by it's distance from the Sun.
When considering Venus, there are a lot of things to take into account. There aren't any plants to turn the CO2 into plant fiber and oxygen. The literal distance from the sun could easily make this kind of heat to happen without something like plants.

The earth is outside the Venus heat zone. And, it has plants to use up any excess CO2. And the more the plants, the more the earth can hold people. We need more people for the geniuses among them. They will help us find and terraform other planets. We are killing off our future with abortions.

Equally, Sun's luminosity increased 30% in the last 4 bil years or so, yet the temperature on the surface remained largely stable, periodic glaciation and warming notwithstanding.
The most common explanation is the presence of life.
Biosphere, so far, was able to buffer the increase in Sun's luminosity, but it is predicted that this buffering capacity will run out in about 1 bil years as the Sun's luminosity continues to increase.
The cause: relative short duration of the lifespan of G-type stars, like our Sun, and its eventual transformation into a red giant.

I love it when people are looking into the future like a billion years. If I could look that far, I'd be rich off the stock market long ago.

Liberals are so brainwashed they can only push their agenda by any means. The fact is that I think Trump as a person is a total douchebag. I wouldn’t want to meet him or have anything to do with him. However, his policies are sound and exactly what America needs. I don’t love Trump and hate Democrats, I love America and hate anyone who wants to destroy it with lies like there are more than 2 genders, or fostering mental illness in children by telling them they’re in the wrong bodies, or continuing to support a proxy war against Russia, or want SpaceX to hire illegal immigrants, or want to lock down our country over a fake virus, or want to raise taxes for an imaginary climate change grift, or want to spend our way into losing reserve currency status, or want to let illegals into our country without going through the proper channels, etc.

I don’t hate liberals, I hate stupidity. Although I can see how the two can be confused.
So you don't think any former president that just lost re-election should be able to try and overturn the election by lying to government officials, intimidating election workers, asking government officials to commit election fraud by "finding him" more votes, or organizing an election fraud scheme to submit fake electoral vote documents through the official government channels.

But Trump should be able to do those things.  Because you like his policies.

It's ironic how I keep hearing complaints about the charges being political and yet the only reason you're defending him has nothing to do with the facts and everything to do with politics.

Basic critical thinking: ask yourself "If a democrat did the things Trump is charged with doing, would I be against criminal charges being filed?"

Standard Dem talk. You talk like he is guilty when the court hasn't even convened. Of course, the court of public opinion is way far against you.

1063  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump turns himself in at Fulton County Jail on: August 26, 2023, 05:07:12 PM
I don' know what Trump really did or didn't do. But let's say he was innocent of wrongdoing. But that' not what the court is looking for. They are simply looking for Trump admitting to doing something. If he admits to doing the things they are indicting him for, even though he did nothing wrong, they will convict him... even though he is convicted of doing right things. Then they will try to punish him for getting convicted.

The other side of this is the advertising. If there were any angry Trump people Jan 6, there are going to be a bunch more and angrier now. Even your standard Dem realizes that this is stupidity on the part of the Biden team.

Mike Lindell developed a device that can track if voting machines are hooking to the Internet during the voting. Three-hundred-thousand of his people are taking these devices around the country to all the major voting places. And this time (2024) the Reps will be watching the voting places a lot more closely.

If Trump is both elected and found guilty, he will be under White House arrest, and out to the Capitol under Huber laws (work release). If he appeals, he might not have any trouble until after his next presidential term, 2024.

NASA admits the Sun isn't causing global warming^^^^
(And they do a really good job explaining why they know it's not)

How in the world funny can you get? You know about the mammoths frozen in the ice in northern lands... some with grass they were eating still in their mouths and still in their stomachs. What does this mean? You might be able to think of more things, but to me it means that the Northern lands were once way warmer than they are not... maybe as warm in some areas as the African jungles. Or do you think aliens took the mammoths out of the African jungles and dropped them in Northern Siberia and Northern Canada? Lol.

Look at the chart in your link. Notice that the chart goes for about 140 years. Notice on the right side that the temperature only rises over that period to the tune of 2 decrees C. That's less than 4 degrees Fahrenheit, in 140 years! Do remember the mammoths from the previous paragraph? At best, the earth is super-slowly trying to get back to normal.

Now, if you look at this 140-year chart, you will see the little 11-year sun cycles plotted in. Notice how much larger the heat waves of each 11-year cycle are. But the global warming and cooling is much less, though cumulatively it adds up to a whopping less-than-4-degrees Fahrenheit in 120 years.

"WORRY! WORRY! Global warming is going to get you... maybe next week!" Lol.

Personally, I can't wait for the healthy, warm planet we used to have.

1067  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NASA admits climate change occurs because of changes in Earth's solar orbit... on: August 25, 2023, 11:57:19 PM
Is NASA saying human activities are not the reason for climate change ? I doubt that humans don't contribute hugely to the change in the environment, although there are natural occurrence that could affect the climate like.carbon dioxide which is emission from vehicles, there is nitrous oxide, vapour from boiling water other substances and there are more that are human activities causing change. The issue is most of the causes of climate change is human factor, smoking is also part of it.

Remember Krakatoa in the late 1800s? When it blew, it darkened the skies around the whole of planet earth. And there were others. And solar cycles swing climate change back and forth every 11 years or so.

I'm sure that mankind contributes a tiny amount to climate change. But it is so small that if we didn't have solar changes and volcanoes interfering with out measurements, we might be able to measure human climate change.

Regarding CO2, often other chemicals are released by man right along with the CO2. But CO2 along with oxygen are the building blocks of life... especially plant life. If we had more CO2, we wouldn't need chemical fertilizers and pesticides and herbicides on our fields. The plants would grow so strong and healthy that they would resist 'bad' stuff all by themselves.

All the CO2 greenhouse effect stuff is simply speculation. And here is how speculative it really is. When people thought they could build a biosphere habitat, where they would live sealed off from the world, it barely worked for a period of time. Ultimately it failed.

Well far away, the nuclear scalation is there as a deterrent. Putin know, Biden knows, Kim Jon-il knows. If escalating to non-conventional warfare had any advantage to Putin, he would have already done so when tanks were sent, then when Patriots were sent and then when mid-range missiles were sent, but the fact is that there is nothing to gain going nuclear for anyone.

The point isn't that all these leaders know about nuclear devastation. The point is how close to being pushed into using nukes is any leader right now?

For example. When US leaders break their agreement to not expand Nato, but then do it anyway... and at he great expense of Russia dismantling the USSR in trade, Putin is being stretched beyond his breaking point to NOT use nukes.

What about "Putin killed him because of what he did in June"...is that even a possibility in your fantasy world?  Or did you rule that one out as soon as the rest of the world started making that guess.

All Putin and Progozin did in June is to have a good laugh about what simpletons and chumps you guys are.

For added lulz, they labeled Prigozin a 'wanted insurrectionist' or whatever so that when anyone pitched a bitch about Russia's actions anywhere, Putin could just shrug and say it's a Wagner thing and "We feel your pain."

Effectively, in your universe there is no space for the most likely explanation: Prigo starts taking too much public light and credit, Shoigu & company start getting nervous and to make it worse Prigo keeps criticising them publicly, even with some references to "the grandpa".

The military convince Putin to force Wagner's to sign normal army contracts, which effectively means the dissolution of Wagner. Prigo is not happy and makes a show of force (nothing like a coup). This does not fall well in the Kremlin. They agree going to Bieloruzzia, but Putin is not paying the wages nor probably the money that is due from the business in other countries.

Prigo flies to Moscow, there is no agreement and as he flees out, a couple of S-300 solve the problem.

But ... that is not possible. The guy has to be alive, this has to be a psi-op, the MI6 killed him... dude, get real. Everything is possible, but the simples explanation tends to be the explanation.

That's why he HAS a universe, and you don't.

Does Ukraine simply want Crimea land? They don't seem to care about the people there.

Large-Scale Attack On Crimea: Ukraine Sends 73 Drones In 24-Hour Period

https://www.zerohedge.com/military/large-scale-attack-crimea-ukraine-sends-73-drones-24-hour-period
Russia's military initially said it downed a barrage of 42 drones near Crimea. A defense ministry (MoD) statement nine drones were "destroyed... over the territory of the Republic of Crimea," while 33 others "were suppressed by electronic warfare and crashed without reaching their targets." The figure was later in the day revised upward to 73 Ukrainian drones launched over the prior 24-hour period.

"Russian forces have downed 73 Ukrainian drones over the past 24 hours after a night of mass attacks centered on Crimea," the MoD stated. "Explosions hit a Russian base in Crimea on Friday, according to reports, following Kyiv's largest-ever drone attack on the peninsula."

There was no mention of casualties or damage due to the large-scale drone attack. Multiple drones were observed destroyed over water off Crimea's Cape Khersones, near the major naval port of Sevastopol.

"All forces and services are in a state of combat readiness," Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev announced on Telegram. This week Ukraine touted that its forces destroyed a S-400 defense system in Crimea, and further that special operatives conducted an amphibious landing Wednesday night, and safely returned from the mission.

If I join, what control does the commune have over property that I decided not to bring into the commune? Obviously, the property I brought in is communal property.

If some unforeseen occurrence comes about, and I don't like the way the majority votes, can I leave the commune... or if I simply don't like it any longer? And if I leave, how much stuff can I take with me to start a new life elsewhere?

What if I join just to test the waters, and I have a house in a pure trust outside the commune, is that house protected from the commune?

I kinda agree with you about Trump. The difference is that I think Trump is truly a Christian, even though his Christianity is weak like most of us. Biden? The ruling Dems?

If Trump's policies were right, he would have in mind to shut down the Federal Reserve Bank. The pilfering of money that they do off every loan that they make - to people, companies, or the government - is the reason why their owners have enough money to make trouble for everybody all over the world.

I don't know if Trump understands this - and, of course no president is a king - but I don't see him talking about this. It's the underlying core of all the problems in America, and maybe most of the world.

This always was an illusion. While this was going on in some parts of the world, other parts were in war, were killing babies through abortion by the millions, were defrauding each other in big ways and small, etc.  But even if none of this bad stuff had been happening, people were still dying of old age.

So, what's the purpose of the whole thing of life? We come to life, we live anywhere from only zero to (in a very few cases) 120, and then we die. We take our ideals along with us in death. But even if we pass them on to our children, even the children and their children all die.

What's it all about? What's it all for? The big WHY?

150 Million & Counting... Trump Triumphant, Ramaswamy Runner-Up, DeSantis Dud

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/150-million-counting-trump-triumphant-ramaswamy-runner-desantis-dud
At this stage in the game, it should be the mantra of the MAGA movement writ large; for the hour is already late, there is a mountain of work left to do to haul President Trump over the finish line: navigating a corrupt, weaponized justice system; dealing with rigged election procedures; combatting both soft and overt censorship by mainstream networks and social media – and that is just the tip of the iceberg.

Which is why – given the enormity of the collective hole we have dug ourselves in – the idea of a normal politics-as-usual primary season was ridiculous from the start. The 2020 presidential election was undeniably the most unfair election in modern history – it necessarily produced an illegitimate outcome. That Ron DeSantis, Mike Pence, Chris Christie (and the rest) are behaving as if all of that does not matter, or that somehow the problems that got us in this dire situation as a country would miraculously vanish if Trump were removed from the picture is the ultimate indictment of their credentials. The other candidates are not serious contenders for the presidency for the simple purpose that they do not seriously care about America's interests: if they realized the gravity of the crisis, they would have immediately stepped aside and thrown whatever miniscule political capital they harness upon the 45th President, knowing that he alone has a shot at achieving the near-insurmountable feat of winning the presidency.

It has just been reveal that BRICS nation have approved the admittance of Argentina, United Arab Emirate, Saudi Arabia,  Iran, Ethiopia and Egypt following the summit in South Africa. Why many believe that this changes everything in the global politics, some believe that NATO have just infiltrated the BRICS in order to weaken them.

According to Jackson Hinklle, while Egypt have receievd millions of dollars from US as aid, Argentina linked IMF that is controlled by the West and Saudi Arabia is the ally of the US that controls OPEC and the petrodollar while Iran is the enemy of the USA. Now that friends and enemies of the USA and NATO have joined the BRICS, is there no chances that one or some of the allies may be mole in BRICS, a way NATO's infiltration?

Interesting times are really ahead for the world!
It was a surprise for me to join the alliance of Saudi Arabia. The entire modern world financial system is based on an agreement between the United States and Saudi Arabia, according to which oil is sold all over the world for US dollars, and as long as the world needs oil, nothing threatens the US dollar as a world reserve currency. But a crack has appeared in relations between the US and Saudi Arabia, and this is fraught with the collapse of the entire global financial system.

Curiously, there is another alliance in the world, I2U2 (Israel, India, the United States and Saudi Arabia), which was created at the initiative of the United States to counterbalance the growing influence of China in the Middle East. Now two of that alliance, India and Saudi Arabia, are also in another BRICS alliance, along with China. It's funny and looks like a US diplomatic fiasco.

There you go. Movement towards a one-world currency.

Biden's team/handlers knew that sanctions against Russia would only make Russia stronger, even if Biden didn't realize this. So, they weren't actually acting against Russia when they did the sanctions. And now the US wants to join BRICS through Saudi Arabia? They will be accepted, of course.

BRICS... the new one-world currency, combining the major countries of the world in one currency.

If you can't beat them to make a strong one-world currency, join 'em to do it.
