Finland stupidity. Yank the tail of a bear already fighting, and who is arming up for major war?...

You need to improve your "metaphoring" skills. Finland is not twisting a tail, is joining the rest of the species that do not want to be eaten. Your argument is "you have to be scared of RF, so the best thing you can do is to stay very quiet and try not to get noticed". You are a coward, but also a very impractical one.

You talk so funny. Finland joins Nato. What better way to yank the tail of the already-warring bear? And then add a stupid, little fence that couldn't do anything, except tease the bear whose tail you are already yanking.

It's the fluoride the Finnish government puts in the free Finnish drinking water. It affects the brain, by dumbing it down, so that most Finns don't eve recognize what they are doing to themselves.

^^^ The US dollar and the Euro money systems are both based on fiat money. Fiat is lies. There is no value backing it. There is only the good faith of the people.

What is happening right now to those fiat money systems? They are collapsing. When the collapse gets to the point that money doesn't work for the masses, the war mongers in the US and Nato will have more of a war on their hands from their own people than they could ever even imagine from Russia and Russian nukes.

If the US and Nato had anything as big and powerful as Russia, they would have gone in there and fought Russia out in the open instead of destroying Ukraine to do it underhandedly. And none of that includes the whopping China and India and Pakistani machines, that seem to be siding in money ways with Russia (BRICS), even though they dabble in US trade.

China is selling off treasuries as it prepares for a blockade of Taiwan and war with the United States

https://thecommonsenseshow.com/agenda-21-conspiracy-economics/china-selling-treasuries-it-prepares-blockade-taiwan-and-war-united-states
In fact, January was the sixth month in a row in which Chinese holdings of U.S. Treasuries fell…

China continued to cut its holdings of US Treasuries at the beginning of the year amid rising long-term interest rates, which slashed its returns on its overseas investments after the US Federal Reserve accelerated its lending cost increases last year.

As foreign holdings rose for a third straight month in January, China's holdings slid to US$859.4 billion in January from US$867.1 billion in December, declining for the sixth straight month and marking their lowest point since May 2009, according to data released by the US Department of the Treasury on Wednesday.

The good news is that the Chinese have been selling off their holdings at a measured pace.

If a blockade or an invasion was imminent, I would expect the Chinese to start selling off Treasuries much more rapidly.

We will keep watching to see if the pace changes.

Meanwhile, CBS News is reporting that China just completed "three days of military drills meant to simulate a blockade of Taiwan".

You make one major mistake in your thinking. Your view is from a US/Nato point rather than from the Russian point of view.

"The first casualty of War is Truth" - Its possible that I don't have full knowledge because both sides of the conflict are trying to manipulate the data to their advantage. No doubt about that.

Russia is doing just fine, but her success can't be measured by US/Nato methods of measuring.

Name a measuring method which proves that "Russia is doing just fine".

It's called BRICS. You can ask the Russians how the measurement works. Brazil is the first letter of BRICS, and Russia is the second letter. Figure it out.

Ooh Lula La! Brazil Wants To Dedollarize Too

https://www.zerohedge.com/economics/ooh-lula-la-brazil-wants-dedollarize-too
Friday saw US Treasury yields 10-12bps higher and the curve flatter after headline retail sales were lower but strong core, Michigan year-ahead inflation expectations leaped from 3.6% to 4.6%, the Atlanta Fed wage tracker showed steady *positive* real wage growth for job switchers and stayers, and the heads of JP Morgan and Blackrock both said they don't see inflation falling back rapidly, and that US rates will stay higher for longer. The Financial Times ('Why economists are learning to speak human') also mentioned Polanyi's view that markets sit on politics and society --e.g., 2016's 'Thin Ice' said the global neoliberal architecture would crack once the US saw China as a hegemonic rival; or the surge in US investment being seen under the IRA, as noted in the press today-- stressing this will continue; as will related arguments over redistribution; as will financial repression that keeps inflation higher than bond yields to reduce debts.

On Sunday, Yellen said credit tightening is de facto Fed rate hikes --not her job-- and that "There is a risk when we use financial sanctions that are linked to the role of the dollar that over time it could undermine the hegemony of the dollar," even if this is not "easy" to do. That kind of talk raises structural inflation risks, as do a flurry of related geopolitical developments:

US regulators are focusing on hedge funds and shadow banking, following on from crypto.

Germany shut its final three nuclear power plants despite energy tail risks ahead.

A US intelligence leak says China secretly agreed to send Russia lethal aid, as a defence minister visit looms, and the Kyiv Independent says Chinese components are in Russian supplies. China would gain swift air superiority over Taiwan, according to the same source.

You jokers are so funny. So is Finland. Lol. All they are doing is trying to keep the Finns inside.
-cut-
If you only knew how stupid and childish that sounds and how ridiculous your sources are. In Finland we have a free healthcare, free education, free speech, clean water, free government pension and ton of other things you can just google. And Finland is one of the least corrupt countries in the world. Why would Finnish people want to leave? So maybe you don't know anything.

Lol. I am laughing way beyond lol.

In Finland you have free healthcare. In other words you go to the doctor or hospital, and some slaves fix your health... because it is free, and they work for nothing, right? Lol.

In Finland teachers are really skinny, because they work for free, and haven't had anything to eat in ages, because working free they don't get any money for food, right?

In Finland you have free speech, because you just sit there and the speech simply bubbles out of you without you having to think or activate you voice, right?

In Finland there is free, clean water, because all you have to do is the work that it takes to go out and lick an iceberg. Oops! It isn't free. You have to work at licking, right?

In Finland you get dozens or hundreds of free other things, because everybody works for free, to give you what you want for free, right?

Oh, I forgot. Everybody gets paid for free because government pays them, right? So, they can work for free, so that they can pay taxes to government so that government can pay them so that they can work for free, and so that government people can get a healthy check, themselves, for sitting around and directing the tax and benefactor activities, right? Lol.

But mostly, in Finland, stupidity is free... probably from the drugs (fluoride) government sticks in the water... that Hitler's people trained them to do when they found that fluoride dumbed people down.

Okay. Now, let's build a 1300km fence to keep the Russians out. Did you ever hear of anything so silly?

Finns have been dumbed down so much that they can barely feel anything. They live dumbed-down lives and feel simply wonderful about it. And government laughs all the way to the bank with Finnish labor, because the people thought they got everything free. Lol.

How in the world dense are you? That you would think that the US and Nato are not at war with Russia. Look at all the money and armament that the US and Nato sent to Ukraine to fight Russia. World media is showing all about this. And you think that the US and Nato aren't fighting Russia? Lol. Cheesy

Finland into Nato is a show, just to make people like you think that Russia is losing, so you and others like you keep on supplying your governments with money to send to Ukraine. Average people of Finland and other Nato countries don't want a war with Russia. But they are getting it because the leaders are warmongers.
Your thoughts that we would be manipulated by our "leaders" is insane and from playbook of Kremlin propaganda. But sounds like you don't know how wars work either. There might be a "cold war", that's debatable but if nato actually joined in to actual war, oh boy you would know. And you are right that no one of us want the war, but most of us want to support Ukraine by arming them and supporting otherwise. If russia wants to start actual war because of it.

Russia withdrawing their forces and paying for their war crimes would be so much easier.

I would agree that it is probably much more difficult for the people of a smaller country like Finland to be overcome by the leaders and media of your country, but your own fear of the Stalin years and their possible return might cloud your judgment.

More than anything, Russia is fighting encroachment by the US and Nato. You remember that Russia dropped the USSR 'act' decades ago. But they did it for peace, not for the US providing continual encroachment to break them up... as the US is attempting to do through NATO and Ukraine.

The Ukraine problem is about the US becoming active through Ukraine, killing Russians and Ukrainians, like Stalin did many of his own people. US in Ukraine was is essentially Stalin in the body of Zelensky. That is why Russia invaded, and to stop the advancement and encroachment of the US on Russia through Nato.

Maybe Finland has some big armament hidden away there, but joining Nato just as Ukraine was trying to do, is really asking for it... even if you don't do a single thing for the next 100 years to advance against Russia.

It's not like Finland was simply acting for better trade relations with the US and Nato countries. It's like teasing a bear who is already slapping at an enemy, and arming up for major war. Finland stupidity.

...

Nah, just tales from BADecker land again. No justification,  just blurting fact-less statements to justify allowing the expansion of the RF by means of war.

Countries are perfectly right to defend themselves and they are watching how Putin's government went to an unnecessary war in 2014, then now to grab more land and obviously they are thinking "I could be next". Now, BADecker takes the "fly" answer, Finland takes the "stand" attitude.

Why is better the "stand" attitude? Because there is nowhere to "fly" to. Finland has a long border with an expansionist and aggressive neighbour. I am sure they would rather be somewhere else, but things are how they are.

Now, what is safer for Finland, be out of NATO and risk being the next Ukraine or be under the Article 5 umbrella? The answer could not be more simple.

You jokers are so funny. So is Finland. Lol. All they are doing is trying to keep the Finns inside. If Ukraine had done this, they would have kept millions from fleeing, and they would have had a whole lot more people to join their military, and more people to manufacture arms to fight Russia.

Nato is done for.

Finland Unveils 1st Section Of Russian Border Fence After Joining NATO

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/finland-unveils-1st-section-russian-border-fence-after-joining-nato
The nearly half-billion dollar fence is expected to be completed by 2026, and is topped with barbed wire and has a height of three meters (or nearly 10-feet tall).

"We started work on the site about a month ago. We have built a road and foundations," a representative of the construction company GRK told the AFP.

According to more from AFP: "About 70% of the fence will be erected on the southeast, with several smaller sections planned for central Finland and the largely uninhabited Arctic border in Lapland."

BA, can you provide any proof whatsoever of all that you have said on this thread? I guess you can provide the same proofs as  Trump. He says the DAs of Manhattan are corrupted. Where is the proof? He says they are financed by Soros. Where is the proof? You say Hilary falsified records. Where is the proof? He says his layer engaged in misconduct, what proof has him offered?

It has become so usual from Trump and for you to say just anything, including criminal accusations and smearing of people with long and distinguished careers without adding anything to make it credible that it may seem like that is somehow acceptable. Well, it is not. It does not fly, it is not acceptable and even if you would to believe it, it does not make it true.

If you accuse, you have to prove it. Else you are just lying and smearing.

Proof is simple. In the US, the standard is 'innocent until proven guilty'. In the case of Trump, most or all of the charges against him are being brought past the statute of limitations. This means that he can never be found guilty of them even if he was guilty. If a DA or anyone else in government tries to prosecute for something past the statute of limitations, it is the DA or other government people who are guilty.

What does this mean regarding Trump? It means that in court, if Trump's attorneys remind the DA of the statute of limitations, and the DA doesn't drop the charges, Trump's people can accuse and indict the DA for at least false arrest and false accusation. It's common knowledge.

Trump doesn't want to have to go this route, because he is a peaceful guy. But he's being pushed into it. However, he is starting to fight back a little, with that $500 million suit against Michael Cohen.

Don't take my word for this stuff. I make my mistakes. Do a bit of research.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Check into what this freedom is about. It is a kind of freedom that builds governments correctly, and goes way beyond governments. There are many Christian churches throughout Africa.

you make one mistake in your reasoning that leads to completely wrong conclusions. You forget that such a large organism as a country with over 100 million citizens, with the largest area, based on strategically important raw materials, does not collapse in one day. These are the months/years during which little can be seen until the subcritical stage is reached, which is the beginning of rapid changes. So the fact that russia hasn't collapsed in 1 year is not proof that russia's economic isolation doesn't work.

What we already see:
1- the Russian currency has lost 30% against the dollar in the last 100 days
2- in the first three months of 2023, russia exceeded the budget deficit planned for the whole year
3- demographic problems caused by young people fleeing the country
4- rising tensions in some regions of Russia, which may result in a breakaway from Russia.

Why 2022 wasn't so bad for russians? Because of the inflationary panic and unrest related to the war that inflated the prices of raw materials in the short term, which increased the revenues to the budget. The temporary pump is over, raw materials are back down to the levels prior to the war, and the beginning of 2023 looks like the beginning of a disaster.

You make one major mistake in your thinking. Your view is from a US/Nato point rather than from the Russian point of view.

Russia would have liked to have traded with the US and Nato. But the sanctions only made her move on to solidifying BRICS and adding new applicants for it, and operation her economy in ways she wasn't ready for, then. Besides, many US and Nato companies are trading with Russia under pseudonyms. Russia is doing just fine, but her success can't be measured by US/Nato methods of measuring.

The most important place in the earth is the area of Jerusalem in Israel, and areas East of it. Why? Because the History of the Bible Old Testament shows and tells us this.

Jerusalem is the place where the great and 'holy' king of Abraham's day lived... Melchizedek. It's the area of the Garden of Eden - East of Jerusalem. It's the place where Jesus died for the sins of the whole world and arose to life, again, on the third day - just outside of Jerusalem.

People live many other places, but God's people around the world carry a piece of this area in their hearts, even if they don't know it.

"The Divine Entity (God) doesn't want encryption or a currency."-How do you know this? How can you convince me that this is true? Do you have a message from a divine entity stating that divine digital signatures are unwarranted? And is this message cryptographically signed with a divine digital signature?

"People have been trying to buy God off, and encrypt him into their own schemes for ages."-Um. Historical cryptography is irrelevant. The AES symmetric algorithm was standardized in 2001. Before that, people had to use the DES for encryption multiple times which was not good. This means that we can safely ignore what people thought about cryptography before the 21st century. Divine digital signatures do not have anything to do with any currencies. I am asking for $200/hr to develop a divine digital signature algorithm because I will not work for free, and you should not expect me to develop a divine digital signature algorithm for free.

Do you even know what cryptographic hash functions, Merkle trees, the AES block cipher, SHA-256, and digital signatures are?

You simply don't understand the greatness of God, or His love for all people. God wants what people want, as long as people are faithful to Him. So, He wants crypto because some of His faithful people want it. But what He wants even more is faith in His Son, Jesus, so that they can be saved. This involves advertising such, right out in the open, which is exactly the opposite of encrypting it.

Playing with the idea of a few piddly advancements in cryptography being able to hold a candle to God is simpleton talk. So, why would anyone want anyone else to develop a divine digital signature? Even the meaning of 'divine digital signature algorithm' is incomprehensible, to say nothing about impossible (probably). God allows a lot, but He as told us that as high as the Heaven are above the earth, so are His thoughts above our thoughts and His ways above our ways.
