182  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: WARNING: 100 BTC disappeared when deposited at Primedice on: October 03, 2014, 01:26:20 PM
One thing for sure is OP is handling this with poise. If I lost 100 btc I'd be out of my mind. I can't even fathom having 100 btc.

Not to belittle your loss, but I think you're taking it like a CHAMP.

Absolutely true. Another guy lost 400 coins to DB because DB scammed him, and he didn't care much to go after their ass.

if it's true ,now ,how we believe the Safety of bitcoin which we are holding and  transfering?

Just don't store your bitcoin in places where you have no private keys, such as exchanges and casinos.
If you really need to, only store them on highly trusted sites, and enable 2FA whenever possible.
183  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I get rid of dust in my wallet? on: October 03, 2014, 12:32:33 PM
Some say that old coins dont have transaction fees. so maybe just let that dust lay there for a year or so. And you might be surprised of its worth then.

Somewhat true, but not entirely.
The current set up is that you could expect your free transaction to be included in a block without problem if it has a priority of 57,600,000
(https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transaction_fees#Technical_info). So roughly speaking, if you have a 10 bitcoin output, you can send it without fee when it has 15 confirmations; but if you have a 0.0001 output, you can send it when it has 1500000 confirmations.
184  Other / Meta / Re: poll on: October 03, 2014, 11:23:14 AM
No, mods can still do it. Back then I thought whitelisting was just to get out of newbie jail, and I think I saw another mod state that they didn't do it anymore.

Nothing was removed MZ.

I see. Thanks for your clarifications. Smiley
185  Economy / Gambling / Re: Accept BITCOIN . DOGECOIN . --- SUPER AMAZING FAIR BETTING SITE . VERY OPENLY ! on: October 03, 2014, 11:21:17 AM
omgthisisit123 and lepanda were my alts and this is me who lost over 0.1 btc oh well I guess it was a bad karma that I tried to steal from them.

But back then CHIPFREAK shouldn't know those two bets came from you, and so your losses still indicate the site is not handling the payment right.
186  Economy / Gambling / Re: ONEDICE.me - Real gambling experience | INVEST | Faucet | Instant Withdraw on: October 03, 2014, 11:13:59 AM
When trying to claim the free 5000 satoshi, if I press my enter key after typing the captcha, it will bring me to the https://www.onedice.me/404 "Oops, sorry" page. Is this the intended result?
187  Economy / Gambling / Re: NitrogenSports.eu - POKER - SPORTSBOOK - EXCHANGE on: October 03, 2014, 10:56:13 AM
We're running a 1 btc freeroll, starting in 3 hours! Registration has opened, sign up at NitrogenSports.eu!

Cool Cheesy
I am going in Smiley

lol only 9 hours too late

Got the problem. Confused between AM and PM Sad

why are all the freerolls happening on midnight?

That freeroll was held at 10 PM UTC, which is equivalent to 6PM for US east coast and 3PM for US west coast.
So the decision is made probably because Nitrogen has most of its customers from US.
188  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: WheelOfDoge ! new game , fun and provably fair ! FREE COINS INSIDE on: October 03, 2014, 10:51:50 AM
Looks pretty good. Also it seems your site is in fact a dice site but disguised as a wheel game. Smiley
189  Economy / Gambling / Re: baddest streaks always on DIRECTBET on: October 03, 2014, 10:46:07 AM
yes directbet is a very nice site but always have bad luck doesn't mean its not good Smiley

Good to see that you are not like some irrational gamblers thinking "The site must be cheating. It is impossible for me to lose X bets within Y bets. Blah blah blah". Smiley
190  Other / Meta / Re: poll on: October 03, 2014, 10:38:08 AM
Or you need to be whitelisted.

Isn't the whitelisting removed already? At least, that is what I heard from hilariousandco in post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=620200.msg6868551#msg6868551
191  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I get rid of dust in my wallet? on: October 03, 2014, 10:34:33 AM
This "dust" is a major issue I see with Bitcoin. I have 1000$ in 1$ bills, but I can't take them out of my wallet.

I generally try to send it - as much as I can- to e.g. an exchange and do some magic there. if I remember correctly, after some core changes I could send some coins even though I couldn't do it before. Not sure exactly why, but it was a positive thing.

You can't take them out, but you can choose to not spend those dusts by enabling the coin control features in bitcoin core.

Also, it seems the dust spamming has stopped as I haven't received any more dusts for 3 days now.
192  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceBitco.in | BE THE BANK ! | 1% House Edge | 7500+ BTC BANKROLL | INSTANT! on: October 03, 2014, 10:25:49 AM
tried to withdraw 1.08890000 more than 24 hours ago but still not going through.. the ticket system also no reply.
this is bad.

This is really bad.
During the mateo incident, users were scammed with skipping nonce, but the withdrawals still went through AFAIK.
193  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Developing]Updated list of gambling websites* on: October 03, 2014, 10:21:57 AM
Why does DICEBITCO.IN have the critical warning rating?

Brief explanation: A hired developer altered some code of the dice for his own profit. Nonces were skipped and the rolls weren't considered fair. This resulted into people losing money. After the news were out most investors removed their investments from the website's bankroll. The dice is still functional, but Dicebitco.in has lost the trust of many community members. You can read their official announcement about this here.

And DiceBitcoin has been caught scamming the second time.
You could read https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=716312.msg9041772#msg9041772 and the several pages afterwards.
194  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Stuck in Yerevan, Armenia with Bitcoins. Please help me sell ~700USD worth on: October 03, 2014, 10:02:11 AM
I recall reading a similar thread a while ago that the person was on travel in Turkey and had some troubles selling bitcoin for cash.
It seems there is a good market for such traveler bitcoin exchange service.

After some forum searches, I am surprised to discover that Turkey traveler was in fact valex231.
195  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A question. on: October 03, 2014, 09:57:16 AM
I don't think it is a pool site, as in the first screenshot, the scrypt hashrate is exactly 100.00 MH/s. So it is more likely a cloud mining site.
But I don't get his intention at all. If he wants to advertise the site, he should tell us the name or at least give some simple hints so that we can "accidentally" find the site ourselves with google search.
196  Other / Off-topic / Re: Am I the only girl on here? : ( on: October 03, 2014, 09:52:20 AM
Many of those existing big bitcoin-accepting businesses (eg. Dell and Newegg) have male customers mainly.
We need more cosmetics, fashion, accessory businesses to accept bitcoin payment, to draw women's attention to bitcoin.
197  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If bitcoin was real coins, Would you pick 1500 satoshis off the ground? on: October 03, 2014, 09:37:49 AM
If those are private keys for addresses with 1500 satoshi, I probably won't pick them up.
But if those are some physical coins, then I would pick them up to sell them as a collector's item.
198  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: (Ask?) Hashprofit on: October 03, 2014, 09:35:33 AM
Not sure if it is a hyip, but generally speaking, I would stay away from all sort of cloud mining as you never know whether how long the service will stay alive.
199  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: faucet and nodes what are they? on: October 03, 2014, 08:59:45 AM
faucet.... the site that may give you some free 0.000001 btc for viewing some advertisements.

Im new to the faucet and nodes. I have a few nodes operating on our coin and i was wondering why is a faucet needed. or even needed for bitcoin and how do they make money on them?

Just like bitvestor?

You mean bitvisitor? Yup, and there are many more faucets like freebitco.in, and faucet rotators like landofbitcoin.

How can I create a new wallet on Bitcoin Core?
I forgot my old password
thanks

When there is no wallet.dat in your bitcoin directory, the client will create a new one for you.
So, you can either delete the current wallet.dat (only if you have zero bitcoin in it) or rename it to some other filename.
