570  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 0.9.0rc2 is available for testing [Changelog] on: March 19, 2014, 04:36:09 AM
Looks like 0.9.0 stable is finally ready Smiley

https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/releases

It's not built and multi-verified yet.  You are just seeing a release tag.

The release announcement will be posted after binaries are built by multiple parties (gitian), cross-verified, and tested.

I see. Thanks for your clarification Smiley

Hello,

When mining I cannot see any changes on the dashboard, doing 8gh right now, any clue why?
My "Account balance" does not update?

Btcguild pays with PPLNS, and so you won't get any payment until the pool solves a block.

Thanks that faucet is a waste of time then lmfao
Most faucets are nowadays. They actually used to be useful.

Once upon a time, the faucet payments are in unit of BTC, then mBTC, then µBTC, and satoshi now lol. Cheesy

I agree about the 360 second rule and also the 'you already posted this' bug. They are very unfriendly for newbies. As more people who are not 'very tech savvy' become familiar with bitcoin, they will come across this forum which is a massive aid for newbs to BTC. It nearly chased me away when i got these messages (in fact it did for that day but stubbornness made me come back again the following day!)

I agree that many newbies come to bitcointalk to ask their questions, but it is indeed not that hard to wait 6 minutes before making your post.

Also, we will have a lot more spamming if people can register an account and make 10 posts in a minute.
