462  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 7000$ investion on: April 29, 2014, 11:13:07 AM
Can u help me with advice, i have 7000$ for investion, do i invest in mining rig for litecoin or some hardware for bitcoin? Your advice?

It is better and safer to buy bitcoin or litecoin. Forget about mining and forget about altcoin clones.
463  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying Wholesale Bitcoins Fastest Option on: April 29, 2014, 11:02:19 AM
Hi

I am looking to buy Large quantities of Bitcoins online, i am looking for the fastest and easiest option available.

Most the places i have checked take a long time to verify the account, MTGOX is currently 20 Business days.

Also the prices are vary quite a lot on the different sites i have checked, so a good buying price aswell Smiley

Regards
Big Smiles  Grin

If you don't want to do verification, you can use localbitcoins. But, you can get better price on bitstamp.

Looks like adblock is doing pretty good lol. Cheesy
466  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Good day everyone! on: April 29, 2014, 10:53:39 AM
I am new to these forums after lurking for a couple of weeks! Still yet to own a single satoshi, I am the newbiest of newbies. Wink

Hope to learn more from staying here and reading different threads. I notice that the forum is sort of divided; most serious discussions seem to happen in the Bitcoin Discussion subforum and the altcoin and offtopic ones seem to be a horror fest of spam, misjudgments, scammers, liers, etc.

Anyway, hope to get in contact with some people who look at bitcoin as the next stage of currency that the world will some day learn to use and appreciate. Smiley

Welcome to bitcointalk.
The best way to earn some bitcoin would be signature ad program IMO, but first you need to get a higher activity.
467  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: April 29, 2014, 10:43:25 AM
Currently china has second most bitcoin users in the world. So banning bitcoin in china will affect the price.
But now we have many time this news China is not going to ban this then why again and again this rumor moving here

People keep spreading the news to pump and dump the price.

469  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does Coinbase show if you have less than 0.01 BTC? on: April 29, 2014, 10:12:33 AM
CoinBase is a fishy service. It is better to avoid them. Use BlockChain.info

Why do you think it is fishy?
Anyway, it is always not a good idea to store your bitcoin on an exchange.
470  Economy / Economics / Re: "Buy at the right time. Sell at the right time" on: April 29, 2014, 10:11:01 AM
Buy at the right time. Sell at the right time.

It's the truth of investing Bitcoin or Altcoins.

It is the "key" to trading, for everything from bitcoin to stocks to forex.
But, the real problem is, how to determine the "right time"?
471  Other / Meta / Re: [EDU] Banned? Read this before posting about it on: April 29, 2014, 10:06:38 AM
Finally, don't make threads in here about your ban if you can avoid it. These annoy everyone including the staff, and as mentioned before, are probably going to decrease your chance of getting unbanned.

This is the only case I have seen an unban. Smiley

I opened this topic for people to discuss what they think about CoinDesk.com, feel free to express your opinions.

It is a pretty good source for news IMO.

I have a website that does reviews over sites that give bitcoin, games and gambling sites. What are some good ones that I might not of heard of?

Maybe you first tell us those you have heard of already.

You can find a long list of faucets in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=90718.0 and gambling sites in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=56.0.
477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin just a stepping stone to something better? on: April 29, 2014, 09:36:29 AM
I don't think Bitcoin will not be around in 5 years as most people will switch to a new gold standard yet to be made. Bitcoin is too short sighted and limited to 21 million coins and is still a Beta technology so are all crypto coins at this time. some people wasting time and money on trying to buy gox is stupid and it's a lesson in how we need more then 3 major exchanges.   learn what the faults are and then replace bitcoin with an improved crypto with that knowledge. I think BTC is just a huge stepping stone to what will be next. I have some ideas as to what the requirements for the next big coin will need to have in it's design but then i'm not a programmer. Right now it just seems like cryptos are just being thrown to the wall and see what sticks. We need to start thinking whats next. Just my thoughts want to know what you folks think.

What are the 3 major exchanges ?

Coinbase, Bitstamp and btc-e maybe? Though coinbase is technically not an exchange...
478  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PB MINING PROFIT on: April 29, 2014, 09:30:47 AM
hello im new on the mining business, so i just want to know opinions about pb mining contracts.

The contract is for 5 years, and for my calculations in 3 months i pay what i spend on the contract, so that means that i got 4 years and 9 months of profit? or i'm doing my calculations wrong?

thanks!

Have you considered the difficulity going up every 12 days?

I suggest buying bitcoin now and hold it for years. Smiley

Sometimes I feel like Bitcoin's hashing/difficulty algorithm is actually a cruel joke.  256 minute block -> 325 minute block -> 9 minute -> 14 minute -> 13 minute -> 3 minute.

2 blocks took 9 hours followed by the pool getting 5 of the last 6 on the entire network.

It is a pain to see the pool 3M luck at 92.463% Sad
