speaking soley for myself,
i wouldnt try to bring on friends at this point....BTC is, IMO, still waaaaay to risky to try to convince friends and family to sink their hard earned cash into...ive had a couple of friends ask about it (they caught me staring at the charts) and ive explained it to them in round about terms, but thats as far as it goes.
there are better investments for loved ones to put their cash into IMO...i just dont feel safe at this point reccomending BTC to anyone who hasnt done thier due dilligence in research and/or is naive or unaware of the extreme risk involved with investing in BTC....
that said, if someone does do the research and decides to invest, i certainly wouldnt discourage them...but for now, im not trying to bring new people on until BTC's growing pains have settled out a bit.

stocks, mainly. collect coins and own a few guns too...but those are my hobbies, not necessarily investments.  |

It's just bugging me because the terms are mutually exclusive.. and I'm seeing them thrown around as if it's the same thing.
the evolution of language. gay isn't gay anymore either. and terrific isn't so terrific. thats the way i look at it...lanquage is fluid and alive; it changes and evolves with time  but i can see your point OP...i cringe everytime someone calls my tattoo machine a "gun". |

no experiance and decent pay?  im not trying to be a dick, and i commend you on looking for work, but; as a general rule, if you dont have experience, you start at the bottom...and that means low pay or in some cases no pay (ie: internships and apprenticeships). its an important fact of life that too many kids these days forget...you have to work your way up. good luck man |

First what was the cause of all this panic?
the last few weeks of bad news made a lot of speculators do a gut check...quite a few failed the test, they decided to cash out with losses (in fear of losing everything). i think the next couple of months will show whether they were right or if those of us that held on were right.... |

Who is that guy and why is he related to gox? i see his "normal" photo everywhere
it was this guy: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=22108.0 he made a thread called "fuck you mt gox" and ranted about some of his accounts being compromised (apparently he reused passwords). he was made fun of by a few people and it grew from there i guess... from that thread:  This is seriously going to become a Bitcoin meme. And it will result in more people using MtGox. Streisand effect is a bitch. |

im not selling, considered my "investment" lost cash when i first started...... ill either make a great profit or ride it all the way down to 0....either way, it was an entertaining way to blow a couple hundred bucks...IMO worth every penny |
