Does Bitmain have the NEW S9 fully developed and installed in their Farm?
When would they be releasing the S9 to the public?
Intriguing thoughts!
What are your thoughts?
BITMAIN, you are welcome to chime in.
im very sure they will release kind of s7+ first... maybe 10THs @ ~2000w to sell more BM1385īs IMO they will release S8/S9 only when an competitioner like Bitfury is selling more efficient Chips. I doubt we see a S8. I think day's of even numbers with all in one setup's are done. I could be wrong but they have stayed away for a while. I think they have mastered shipping costs staying with odd numbers. They have been VERY quiet. When S7 was coming out there was all kinds of rumors we knew with S5+ some big things were changing. So far we just have not seen that. That is no way means they don't have it ready to go, but they have had 0 leaks of info yet. They are definitely maturing in terms of information flow, especially as other competitors are showing up with next generation gear.. They are more forthcoming with their bulk buyers but I suspect those buyers are not into disclosing the information while they have a relationship with Bitmain..

Glad to see a solid group working the issues...

Since Im inching closer to release every day and hopefully its right around the corner. Figured I would post a preview picture of the ADVANCED page. Shows the updated "Energy Saver" options, also note the blue progress banner at the top ... this banner will be on every major webgui page while "Energy Saver" is in progress. That banner will turn green when tuning is complete and awaiting user input (Selecting to keep the tuned settings or revert to pretuned settings" ... once selected it will do what the user selects then "Energy Saver" will be turned off and user selection applied. The HELP page which you can see linked there, will provided a form of Q&A for users regarding "Energy Saver" and how it works.
Went looking for the code today to see how you are satisfying GPL licensing requirements but don't see anything in the repo aside from a README, how are you making the source available these days?

I am not familiar with the WASP project but I can assume it didn't go well.
Everyone lost out of WASP, everyone. Other important design issues I will leave to SideHack et al. Imagine if you could underclock and undervolt S7's, Avalon6 etc. By adding things that the big wigs leave off increases the life span and value to the miner.
You can underlock S7s and Avalon6s, but why exactly would you want to undervolt them? Increasing life of hardware which is quickly becoming obsolete doesn't make much sense, especially when they may last 3-5 years anyway. In the spirit of efficiency is how I read that.. The value of undervolting depends on the design of the chip and its performance charactistics.. Speaking of which, Bitmain for example made some noise about 9V for a while but it seems to have faded..

I generally only support private initiatives however I have access and agreements in place for various chips... If you and sidehack already have something in play is there anything in particular you are looking for, or just a general conversation?

The OP put all of 60 seconds into a post and follow-ups yet apparently it was good enough to generate a full thread with people investing much more time than the OP.. Well done OP if that is all it takes..

<3 my comment was oboviously sarcastic hence the ":^)" but I'm pretty sure there are people who look to exchange their paypal to btc
So you'd be willing to give out a vouch of your Method to someone, so that those "people who look to exchange" know what they are buying? for a trusted member? sure What's the limit? I'll give it a shot and post a review to your thread..

Why so damn negative? I'm sure you have heard of "soft forks" as a means of implementing changes to strengthen the network without a hard fork. Maybe, you should spend your time on your chip development and the SP50 rather than trying to bring everyone down to your current level. You might try a smaller rig than the SP50 as well for the public (home miners) rather than large investors only. As far as I'm concerned, you're in league with Hearn. We have a lot of new upcoming advancements for the blockchain to make it better without the changes you want to implement. Check this video out for instance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kSq-58ElBzkAlso, how about you and everyone else reading some "bullish" news for a change instead of searching for pessimistic news to try to bring everyone down to your level. Here's an excellent thread for bullish news: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1166428.2020Your attitude is the core of the problem at hand.. So you didn't like the perspective in the article and you focus on attacking the fact that it was even posted, how is it you can have a discussion when you simply bitch about a viewpoint that isn't your own?

Mattzees, thank you very much for the trade! I look forward to the cubes. Thank you! Finehash bought some cubes from me and paid promptly. Communication was good. He's legit. Glad to hear he is legit, we had come to a deal at your previous asking price, then you raised it so good to hear he followed through at least..

Would love to get my hands on this.. I've almost got 2 BTC so if I do I'll let you know. Do you ship to Australia? (I've never really ordered from a person, so idk how to calculate shipping costs and stuff)
Yes I would ship to Australia, tracked and insured.. PM your location and I'll pull the shipping quote.

I don't understand what info you're basing your opinionated statements on. We have seen great interest from integrators to our 16nm chip and are confident mining devices based on our chip will be available to public very soon. Possibly as early as end of march.
Good stuff, where will these "official" Bitfury integrators be posted? They are still building relationships now, I suspect you will see real movement in the coming weeks from some integrators..

The big thing I see is "Six powerful +12V rails with high maximum loads offer great compatibility with heavy-duty graphics cards". If you go EVGA 1600 you get a single rail. I could be nut's but I think that part might cause some problems. And I could be wrong, but all mine have been single rail. If you already own one you can use it and it will work, I have one myself I ran one from, just be careful how you separate the rails... I went one rail per board, and the 4th rail I used a splitter on and spread across all three boards plus power and it worked fine.. If you are buying something there are much better options, I would just a server PSU myself for less than an ATX option..

I have to plead ignorance. What are the coupons used for? I'm busy buying S7's, so I'm probably interested.
How many do you have?
They are 0.05 BTC off per unit.. Hit me up with how many you want..

Thanks for getting me a block of 15 so quick!!!
Anytime... For anyone still looking, more available..

are they all fully functional, any bad chips?

Roughly speaking you will need a 7 figure investment to make it happen.. The money and qualified resources to deliver are the hardest things to find..

Bump.. Some interest but still available..
