tryed pad new fw...getting the same gh/s as i was before...but it's nice not having to ssh into it and reset the clocks n vrm all the time Smiley thxs pad for your hard work

Thanks for the note..

I sent it to maybe 10 folks as a favor to them and I have seen no less then three of them trying to sell it on ebay, direct, or otherwise.. It's a sad look at how a number of people in the community try and exploit someone else's work..

There is a small minority of stand up guys but they are definitely a minority..

1085  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS] 2 XFX Radeon R9 290 Double Dissipation GPUs on: May 15, 2014, 06:40:53 PM
5 2 left..

$300 each shipped..

Installed and run for two hours in a system, buyer never completed the purchased (4 complete systems in total) so I am parting out the system to try and recoup as much as I can..

The cards have a lifetime warranty and I should still have BF4 codes for all of them..

$300 USD (BTC, DOGE, LTC, etc.) for each card shipped to US, can also ship internationally..

Escrow is no problem if a buyer requires it, will use btcrow.com or trusted escrow provider on the forum.

Too many PMs so I haven't hit them all. I was side tracked trying to chase down a seller on ebay pawning it off as his own, I know who it is but they are ignoring me now..

In any case the site should be up in a day or so, working with someone else on the board putting it up for me, looked like we were done but he had some server issues..
1087  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] 2013 Casascius 1 BTC Coin on: May 14, 2014, 07:47:36 PM

Working on setting up a site to distribute it, should be up later today so stay tuned..

Someone on ebay is selling it for $75, I give them credit for being an enterprising seller but i only gave it out to a few folks at first and I'm disappointed they didn't talk with me about as they didn't spend the 40+ hours figuring things out...

Could you please tell me your suggested PSU for overclocking october jupiter with your firmware ? Thanks Smiley

An 850W should get you buy but I generally use 100W or 1200W for both October and November..

hey guys great news!! i was able to get my hands on a copy of custom knc firmware that unlocks the clock speed of the all jups , currently pushing 930 ghs 100% stock 4 vrm box.

My assumption would be the version is 1.01.1-padrino?

1092  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 30TH - Available Instantly - $3.25/GH on: May 12, 2014, 09:59:23 PM
Actually my analysis was far more cruder but effective.

1 TH @ your price: 3500$ all inclusive.
1 TH will mine ~5.09 BTC in a year so far with current increases in difficulty.
5.09 BTC is a lot less than 3500$ so investment doesn't even ROI until BTC/USD goes to at least 700

Regards.

Everyone has their own projects on difficulty, unfortunately most are wrong. A ~50% increase in difficulty/month for a whole year isn't sustainable which is what your calculations tell me you are using.

You are basically saying difficulty will go up to 151 Billion by December which is 17x the Hashrate currently. ~1200PH or 1.2EH. This will never happen at current pricing.

We're going to see a steep decline in hashpower going online percentage wise if BTC stays at the same value. If BTC goes up then equipment retains it's value longer and you can cash out to USD for more but you will also see more miners come online.

My Calculations show at least 9 BTC being earned by a TH today within a year, however I do love when people use the genesis/trade block for their calculations keeps more people out of the game.

Funny thing, I heard the exact same thing in 2011, then 2012, and 2013, should i keep going...

Found this today and tried to play, apparently there is a bug with the site, I bet correctly in two occasions but your Up and Down BTC address are the same in Chrome.

Please correct as it cost me 0.1399 BTC due to an incorrect address for the Up bet.. See below screenshot as a reference, pulled the Up address after I lost the bet and see it's the same as the down.

with this weekends dip I couldn't go that low. I've got a seriously interested buyer on eBay they just are worried about customs fees. They may buy it at my current price which is why I couldn't go 2.45 right now

Taking into account ebay's 10% closing fee plus the 3.9% via Paypal you will pay from an international buyer you must be at one hell of a premium since 2.45 BTC is a solid price for that laptop if you take into account what you will pay in fees on ebay..

Hello
How to unlock these values on other KNC have 1000 MHz?
Thank you

The means you have an October miner and not a November..

If you want to go higher you need to either use the firmware running around that unlocks other values in the UI or you can do it via the command line referencing earlier posts in this thread.
1097  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 3.5 TH KnC Franken Joops In hand. on: May 07, 2014, 12:21:49 AM
I just want to make sure I am reading this right.. You are selling 3.5Th for over $12K USD when the forum is running rampant with more power efficient 1Th/s systems just over $2K, say $6.5K for 3.5Th/s..

It's so high I want to make sure you didn't make a mistake with your asking price..

Good luck on Legal action... Considering court "backlogs", and the general slowness of the courts...
Especially in the area of consumer protection...
You would be lucky to get your case heard in court within a year or two in USA...
Is it like that in EU as well?
You would need "criminal" pursuits to get any timely action here,
and they are careful to classify consumer product orders under civil, and not criminal, especially when you are not even local.
Best luck will probably be right in Stockholm if you live there.
Wish you the best... just fair warning on what to expect.

The civil case normally should go pretty quickly.  It is standard procedure.
Read the TOS also... we are NOT consumers, we are "businesses",
as agreed.
I don't see any way around that one.
https://www.kncminer.com/pages/tandc

"1.2   The Products are sold for business use only and Purchaser hereby accepts that it has purchased the Products in order to conduct a business."

I never noticed that, I cannot speak about how that would impact the case but I suspect it does as different protections should apply in that case..
1099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: May 05, 2014, 05:54:19 PM
If they sent you replacement boards; you are compensated in the eyes of the law. I don't see what ground you have to bring it to court. You'd best talk with a lawyer before you waste too much energy on that.
CE certification is required for power supplies, not the components, and since the TOS clearly states you are agreeing you are a business, you are then NOT even a consumer, and are rejected from any "Consumer Protection Laws."

Given they redelivered used hardware as a replacement for a new system and never clarified that would be the case, and left customers in a position to attempt to repair without any option for a refund I suspect he will actually have a decent case on his hands in the eyes of Swedish law..

If you want someone to pay more than the expected ROI I think you are in the wrong forum.. Maybe hit eBay since they are going for about 3.5BTC with power supply, but then you need to pull out the eBay fees..
