421  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] PSUs (6x) over 1000W / Single Rail / NIB or UNOPENED REFURBISHED ONLY on: May 20, 2015, 11:01:35 AM
I have a lot of 1100w platinum server supplies for sale, but they're not NIB.

Mind if I ask why you only want NIB or refurbished PSUs?

I run GPU rigs and i don't want bent up and twisted up dusty cables, always wondering if rigs are crashing because the cables are faulty, etc.

Built and run 50+ GPU rigs and the biggest contributors to instability always are..

1. Brand and model of video card and risers used
2. Brand and model of motherboard
3. Brand of PSU

I would take used EVGA or LEPA over new ones from other companies..
422  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Lulzbot TAZ 5 3D Printer Package on: May 17, 2015, 07:45:15 PM
IMO your hopes for OVER full retail price are quite unrealistic. Even brand new there are models with similar specs for less than half of that price. If you want to sell this thing used you are going to have to take a hit (even if you didn't use it much), no way around it.

I listed it over full retail because of the additional filament, etc.. but that's why I pushed for offers, realistically because of selling prices in various places I know it will take a hit.. This is probably one of the worst communities for things like this because although there is plenty of interest there is also a do it yourself attitude which make things like this not as valuable..

IMO you could sell it here, but you would have to go at least 20% under retail (even with the extras) to even get a few bites. Just my opinion.

Sadly a lot of hobbies you do not get your money back out off.  This is especially with hobbies that have huge improvements in models.

I mean your competing against other models such as -http://store.hackaday.com/products/bukito-portable .

That is a good printer as well, much smaller print bed but solid option for the hobbyist that wants to build it themselves...

424  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: EvBitcoinFan is a scammer that took our money and voided the shipping. on: May 17, 2015, 02:43:06 AM

Sounds like bullshit to me.
Sounds like he's sweating a little as his personal and family details have been discovered so sticking to the "hacked" cover story.
Just pass all the gathered info over to the police anti fraud department and let then decide if he was really hacked or just scamming.

@markj113 great pic) there is no doubt you are right. I can use everything I have to pay him back for the pain and stress, and sleepless night of my fam.

I gathered all info on the guy and his family: their contacts, where they live, their jobs, what vehicles they drive, their friends etc. etc.
Connected with US embassy and had consulted several lawyers.
Wrote very polite and correct letters to members of his family asking to influence him.
My wife commented his post about his new flat on Instagram by saying that we know the exact address of his new appartment and asked politely to refund (after what he blocked her account).
Later I published in my twitter ( https://twitter.com/feeri4no ) a tweet that he should return the money he got from me and never sent out the miners.

After all these actions I received an email, PM on twitter and Bitmaintalk with willingness to refund.

I have given 24 hours for return of money, or I will do what I have to do.

P.S.

The lesson is : Don't let the people down who give you advance in trust, no matter where you live, who you are, or how luxury your life is - don't do this, bcs you will have troubles that can change your life forever.

I hope my example will help people to learn how Not get into trouble like I did.

Well done tracking him down, I hope it works out for you..
425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: May 15, 2015, 09:35:18 PM
Did anyone take back 3 btc

I didn't for sure! But I know that I saw someone in this thread that wrote that he did it.

No the only way to get some more back is trough the group action against KnC. 2 lawyers from Sweden and 1 from USA.
http://kncclassaction.com/

You realize if KNC goes bankrupt in the process you will lose your retainer ($1,500.00 ish USD) with these lawyers. You'd be better playing poker at a casino! Smiley

Have you been following the funding KNC is closing and following the company? They aren't going bankrupt very soon..

428  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN AntMiner APW3-12-1600 PSU Series on: May 14, 2015, 03:23:21 PM
PCI-E cables 16AWG or 18AWG?
Good question, I'll try and find out. The spade connector version used 10AWG.

Its 18AWG.

In that case it would seem appropriate to provide a maximum amperage per connection in the specs and make it clear, it could be dangerous for your customers if not..

430  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Terraminers sold cheap, need someone to confirm delivery first on: May 12, 2015, 10:25:11 PM
Post photos of the 100 Terraminers then in sealed packages. I highly doubt there are at least 100 Teraminers those were like $20,000 EACH when brand new. Why would someone order $2,000,000 of these miners and never use them?

You're posts make no sense. I don't know if you are scamming people are not.

I'll see if they can get photos of that this week, if not then I will close the thread. It could have been bought on liquidation. I want to see if they are a scam, that's why I let someone buy it before me. And I'm not a scammer, because a scammer can do better than this.

Their bankruptcy auction was recently, there were some Terraminers, but nowhere near 100 and certainly not 100 that are unused.

I didn't think they got to the point of an auction yet, when did that happen?

They are practically being sold for scrap at this point, with those economics in play you managed to get the price down to something reasonable with shipping?

Yes, they are new and should be 100% Genuine with the warranty.

Did you do any research before negotiating with this seller or simply say 2Th (actual is 1.6Th, they never revised the PCB to get back to 2Th) should be XX regardless of the efficiency of the miner, or the state of the manufacturer (bankrupt, assets being liquidated).. Not sure I understand your play since on the surface nothing makes sense...
434  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Mining farm liquidation! - group sale with ▬► BIG discount!◄▬ on: May 10, 2015, 03:15:37 PM
just out of curiosity, why do people not go after the knc miners? they seem to be pretty sweet with that 3 Thash/1.4 kw ratio

IMO the numbers he gave for power consumption are wrong. Made up. Its a very expensive unit. Otherwise idk. Bitmain just did it right. Except they won't give me a deal on an 100 antminers -_-

My power meter on the two in my basement doesn't think the watts used are made up numbers.. Granted buying them at 13K or 10K with the delays KNC had (they self mined instead of deliver customer orders) was a rip off..

436  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: May 09, 2015, 11:42:01 PM
Over the last couple of days I noticed a green highlighted job with infinite BTC, is this a stop loss order of some kind where Nicehash prevents hash from dipping below a certain point? If so can some details be provided on how it is applied and where the funds come from to support?

At the bottom of the list it is marked. It is experimental - order does arbitrage.

Thanks for clarifying, definitely disappointed to see this development... While it is good you mark it the whole idea of maintaining a floor yourself runs against the open market you have been building..

I've moved over 90BTC through rentals myself, this does cause a little pause for me as a renter...

it looks amazing but you know it is for geeks:) and every geek will most likely create his own beast then buying used one from other geek. and I love unboxing.(

I understand that and agree... I have a couple of local people just looking for something to work out of the box so I might have some options, but prefer to sell for BTC if I can...

Don't be a fool!

The OP can (and will) reverse the payment up to six months later.  Paypal ALWAYS sides against Bitcoin!

You will have no bitcoin and no paypal!

Look at my trust and understand what I am telling you is the truth.  The OP is about to scam you.

Leaving negative feedback for someone that hasn't actually scammed anyone, and up to this point hasn't demonstrated they are intending to (unless I missed something) is piss poor.. Yes anyone using Paypal needs to be very cautious but I can tell you for a fact they do not always side against Bitcoin, as long as proof is provided, for example the BTC address is in the Paypal invoice, etc.

First post yesterday confirming I want all of the Neptune's, OP wrote me via PM and confirmed they were mine.. I suggested OgNasty for escrow and said I would set it up, or the OP could, haven't heard back since
