Read better! 600 cores, not machines!
Machines are 75! Tongue

I'm sorry when I commented I wasn't under my dose of caffeine I didn't get enough sleep in the last 72hours, Yes those are 8 cores SoCs so You are basically done, with the installation now is time for some fine tuning to get the best performance out of those core, by the way what OS/distro are you running on them right now
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Building a 600 CORES - Supercomputer to mine VeriumReserve on: November 25, 2017, 07:28:48 PM
PSU are warm, and pulling out hot air from a flank, it's a good idea.
Number 75 flashed! Sally will b up and running by tomorrow!  Kiss

Oh I thought the PSUs were exhausting outside, now I understand, 75 great news, 525 to go, you are getting faster at it, I think in a couple of weeks we will see a full 600 machines results good job !
63  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Transfering Bitcoin > Paypal USD on: November 25, 2017, 07:23:12 PM
I believe Coinbase can do this, but I haven't tested yet. I think the fees are quite high (3.75%), but it's better than paying taxes.
I won't transfer more than maybe $400-500 worth of Bitcoin per month.

Do you guys have any suggestion?

EDIT:
Coinbase only works for US residents. So no go for me as I live in EU.

Is it a one time transaction or you want to this regularly ? if it is just one time transaction just I advise you to just deal with either someone reputable or use escrow for a deal with someone that is willing to pay directly FIAT to your paypal account
64  Economy / Goods / Re: I'll buy one Porsche 911 for 1BTC. on: November 25, 2017, 06:44:01 PM
You still have around for years to go, but doubtfull it will have happen, I'm confident BTC will reach even higher threshold but going to over 90K in 3-4 years is not likely to happen, maybe in another 10 years, but who knows, Bitcoin growth has proven to now follow any existing model
65  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: (2FA) Two Factor Authentication on: November 25, 2017, 06:08:18 PM
There are some of wallets and exchanges that have (2FA) Two Factor Authentication. On the off chance that you are utilizing Google Authenticator and change telephones or lose your telephone, what happens at that point? Since you are filtering the QR code at first with that Google Authenticator application, would it say it isn't connected to that phone as it were?

Ok the first one is easy, if you are changing phones, You need to disable 2FA on all the websites you are using while having the phone, then install google authenticator on the new phone and use the usual the usual steps to set up 2FA again.

Now when it comes to losing a phone, you still can get to wallets or exchanges depending on the website backup solution, some will have authentify with another method, SMS for example others will require and here there is a human intervention, to send your ID the same ID you used for example to increase your limits, and some occurence you'd use a one use only code that you get when you set 2FA for example to log in.
66  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OhMyCo.in - Real-time cryptocurrency market charts on: November 25, 2017, 03:01:44 PM
Do you mean having more than one ticker at the same time, or instead of showing a "pure" ticker, showing a mathematical operation between two or more of them? (like, one minus the other)

Thanks for all of your feedback!

I mean both, the ability to put on two exchange ticker side by side and compare both but if you can have something that can show the difference in real time that can be even better, in terms of volume orders and of course Price

I think anything that can be a real added value for users and differentiator will get you people

Keep it up
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: This work or not work??? on: November 24, 2017, 11:23:50 PM
Hi
I have 1 have one moderboard h81m-k
Cpu: intel(R) pentium(R) G3240 @ 3.10GHZ
Memory: 4096MB (DDR3 1400MHz)
Gpu : 3 RX470 4gb sappahire nitro
I want buy Convert pci 1 to 4 pci x1
This pic

Does it work?
For connect 2 gpu other in this moderboard
In all
5 gpu connect in this motherboard
This possible???
Sorry for bad english

The short answer is yes it does work, but from what I've seen there some issues, usually the last card is not detected or having problems while mining. But if you are lucky enough, you'll get all your cards detected, and will have a good efficiency out of your system, good luck to you, and please when you get it give a feedback for others
68  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Trustable Exchanges as of Nov. 2017 on: November 24, 2017, 11:03:07 PM
To be honest I didn't use these exchanges in the last month, but I'll use this opportunity to rank them as my overall experience.

Bittrex- Never used it
Coinbase/GDAX- B
Kraken- A
QuadrigaQC- I've never had the opportunity to use it
CoinCorner- Same never used it
Poloniex- B
CanadianBitcoins- never used it
BitFinex- B
BitHumb- never used it
BitStamp- B

I guess I need to get some altcoins and start trying the other exchanges and see what's what, so far the best experience I had is with Kraken
69  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cheapest way to convert ether to USD on: November 24, 2017, 10:31:41 PM
To answer your question directly the cheapest way is to do a direct transaction with a buyer in public, then you have escrowing, and then you can use a local exchange in that order. As always if you are going to meet someone take your precautions just if you are doing a craiglist transaction or whatever
70  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Signature campaign applications on: November 24, 2017, 08:22:50 PM
Hi kuromen, could you please tell me there's some technical issue with "unnamed" signature campaign. They were not able to provide as commited. It may be a technical issue too. I'm mentioning the coin name as unnamed.

Can you please specify what do you mean by technical issue ? I can't find any altcoin called Unnamed can you please post a link to an ANN or something.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Building a 600 CORES - Supercomputer to mine VeriumReserve on: November 24, 2017, 08:19:00 PM
Well!
I've found out two of the 40 miners were hanging with no reason. I'm reflashing both, hoping to fix the issue. I don't want a broken board now!

So i've added some fan on the right panel. Also because, as everyone knows, RGB gives you 30% more of hashrate  Grin

Considering the frequencies you are running at, the architecture you are using you shouldn't even need those, are there any components specifically overheating ?

I mean the SoC them selfs use a Watt or two at most tree but like you said better safe than sorry also, the cooler they run the better they run and no trottling risk
72  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: OhMyCo.in - Real-time cryptocurrency market charts on: November 24, 2017, 07:46:36 PM
Ok after checking the website here are a couple of suggestions :

First of all the page not scalling well or maybe it's a position issue sens the volume on the left side doesn't show fully in my screen. Can't reproduce this problem

The other thing is I suggest an option to toggle the color of the page from dark grey to white, the color you are using are a bit hard for the eye from my perspective, but for someone that work in a dark envirement might enjoy better, so I think it's better to have an option for that

One more thing maybe you can add multi window trackers for those who want to enjoy arbitrage

Kraken !! The exchange that I use is not there

Maybe some added value because other website have similar product, you might need something unique to get people to use your website, it might ergonomics, the amount of exchanges in the list ect.
73  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I only have 200$ per month ! on: November 24, 2017, 07:19:16 PM
After a month of hard work I have to pay quite a lot of things. I just got one about 200$ to invest in bitcoin. Should or should not. Please help me !  Lips sealed

I think the title is not really clear, but I understand better now, so each month you have around of 200$ to spare each month, if you have anything important to do, you can invest in Bitcoin and trading some I'd say go for it, but keep in my mind that the money you invest can be lost this is the important rule if you think that the 200$ is better used somewhere else then don't, and always try to minimize you risks by trying things out small before going big.

If electricity is cheap or free where you live trying out experimenting with mining, of course unless your investement is in the 2K+ the return won't be worth, but the hardware you get can be resold, for example for 200€ you can get a second RX 470 which is good for 3$ a day or so if each month you add a new card you can scale pretty nicely, but this takes time and is under the usumption your electricity is free
Yes the explanation is rather ambiguous, it could mean:
1. op earns $200 every month but expenses eats them up, now he's worried and wants to start investing
2. op does not have regular income, but struggled to get $200, which he's thinking to invest amidst lots of bills.

First and foremost, the idea to start investing is a good one and interestingly, with cryptocurrency, one doesn't need so much to get started.

If op earns $200 every month, meaning he's likely to be residing in a third world country and in any such place, $200 is a lot of money. Op must have been wasting his money on frivolities and investing even a million dollars won't get things right for him, until he gets it right in his head!

If the situation is such that op just managed to raise $200 and prefers to invest same than spend it, that makes him wise! However a conducive environment is necessary for the investment to thrive, so investing the entire $200 would defeat the purpose, instead $100 should be invested in BITCOIN and the other used to take care of his vital needs! Then work harder to raise more and repeat till the size of his investment starts to bring and leave smiles on his face.

The only confusion comes from the title vs OP, if you read the OP you can understand that what he means is that he has 200$ left to invest (he refers to it by saying after paying the bills and all) but I'm not fond of the idea of him investing every penny he has to spare for a long time, he'd better keep some for himself and his hobbies.

75  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin versus other offline currencies on: November 24, 2017, 06:50:29 PM
As a NEWBIE, how would you explain bitcoin as against other offline currencies?
Which one has more market value and why do you think so ?

To add to what was said previously, The big difference between bitcoin and anything else is the blockchain obviously, having a public ledger in where every transaction is logged and can be verified is huge.

The other thing is that since Bitcoin is related to exchange rate you can say it is more of stock rather than money which has a more or less fixed value, something that bitcoin may reach in a couple of years.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Building a 600 CORES - Supercomputer to mine VeriumReserve on: November 23, 2017, 10:19:28 PM
Should I quantify? Flashing each one takes 20 mins/each. Wiring? Tons of time. I've spent 5k on materials, but feels like i've spent 10k only in "manual work"  Grin

Yes this is what I'm getting at, sounds, like a lot of work but if it is a hobby you are enjoying and you have the time to allocate, I think it's really worth it even if the ROI is not there this project can have many other use cases other than just mining
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can underclocking damage the GPU? on: November 23, 2017, 09:20:28 PM
I know, weird question, but i've recently been into underclocking my 1070s and 1070TIs to about 70% power limit and overclocking core clock +99 and memory clock +~800, anyways, will this damage the card to deprive it of power at the same time i increase the core clock and memory clock?

PS: yes it's stable, these new 1070 cards are amazing.

I think you mean undervolting and not undercloking since you are overcloking the rest of your card, As long as your card is 100% stable and have a good security marging you shoudn't have any issues, in fact the opposite since the cards will heat less and the electrical resistance is lower.

As for underclocking as the other mentioned previously it's only positives aside less performance.
78  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Signature campaign applications on: November 23, 2017, 11:38:35 AM
Hi! Im new to signature campaigns. And Im applying in some campaigns out there. I just already post my information for application. My question is how can you know if you are already accepted?? Do they usually PM you or just reply on your post? I just want to familiarize things on this forum. Thanks.

I'll add to the previous answers that you need to check if you are not in any blacklist, if you spam or you have inconsistent posts or even worst doing copy pasts will earn you an entry to a blacklist or even worst a ban from the forums.

So to resume You should not forget that this a forum first of all so you need to contribute help others, participate to topics you are interested in, avoid spam threads, once you have a propre rank you can participate in a campaign the campaign manager will always post who's in the campaign and who was declined being it directly as a comment or in a google spreadsheet. if you meet all the criteria there is no reason to be declined. Good luck to you.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Building a 600 CORES - Supercomputer to mine VeriumReserve on: November 22, 2017, 11:13:49 PM
Impressive, can we get along the way the cost for components and the amount of hours spent on your project and what values are you getting ?

Also I'm really interested in the rendering part, If I understood correctly these are ARM SoCs so no X64 X86 right ? so you must be running some linux distro, can CFD or other numerical simulation software run on those ?

Looking forward to the development of this project and the results
