Apologies for the inconvenience. The site is undergoing some form of attack. Each time we get it up, it's attacked again. We are working on it.

i think swisscex froze there market and wallet. since trading on that site is disabled atm

 hi griffith
err - i was able to post some asks already
1567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ECCoin (ECC) Community Has Taken Over! [Griffith Is Now The Dev] on: September 21, 2014, 12:05:14 PM
[edit] seems as soon as my wallet was synched, the swisscex wallet synched too. why?  does my wallet need to be involved in confirming all of my transactions? i thought anyone mining/staking would provide confirms once sent/recieved. i guess it's always important to wait for the confirms before closing.   Huh

As far as I know, you should keep your wallet online a while once you send a transaction. If you don't have a lot of connections or your wallet is busy with other things, it might not have propagated through the network yet. This is solved by keeping it online for a while till you see a confirmation.

right, i guess evidently, but the transmission had been received, awaiting conf. anyway, thx
1568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ECCoin (ECC) Community Has Taken Over! [Griffith Is Now The Dev] on: September 21, 2014, 10:10:35 AM
hi guys,
 some wallet/chain? trbl
  Resolved
i'm using the v1.8.4.0 wallet and win7

i want to sell a few ECC, wallet hadn't run in 2 weeks, it fired up OK but

crashed atleast 5 x with a c++ runtime error, i saved 1 error msg:

Code:
  Fault Module Timestamp:	0860d3b8
  Exception Code: 40000015
  Exception Offset: 00b216ad
  OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1

  Additional Information 3: a06d
  Additional Information 4: a06d62a0bdfb92ba3323c6e11c3ecfe2

finally, after about a day of crashing and restarting, deleting everything in the roaming folder,  restarting and restarting, it got over all the bumps and was showing synched, so i sent a few thou to swisscex

usually i will wait for a few confirms to show before i close the wallet, forgot to this time, closed it down as soon as it showed up in 'pending'

that was just abt 12 hrs ago, the deposit is still pending w/0 confirms, re-opened the wallet some hrs ago, and seems it will only synch to within 1/2 hr. before i sent (so far). i restart the wallet every hour or so, is there anything else i can do?

thanks

[edit] 1 hr. after posting, everything is OK, leaving post in place incase any info here is helpful to the spirit of bugfixing

is CCX abandoned by the dev? is it dying? Huh

pretty sure no one here wants to let it die. dev's not said a word for weeks, last active abt 10 days ago. sad. dunno what to do.

Here is one great article about mammoths. Quite well written, clearing some myths about this animals:

1571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: TOPCOIN2, LAUNCHED!! swap topv1 for topv2 time running out!!!! on: September 16, 2014, 06:32:03 PM
FWIW i had a lot of trbl and download restarts the last few days, and now coin-age in my wallet is almost 0, but ammongst all the restarts at one point PoS had produced some (pre-synch/orphan) stake, so it would seem PoS is working.

This is a good read on PoS if anyone's interested

That is an interesting read. Thanks! The OP says POS starts in 1 week, however, this document says "needs to be at least 10 days, but longer is suggested because staking often times doesn't happen right at the 10 day mark"

the info is for another coin, (forked from peercoin, i think) not sure how closly related it might be to TOP, but specs are sure to vary

I really (been honest now) dont understand why the wallet with stake option is not released still.... what is happening? i support THC but im a bit disappointed with this problem... is so difficult to do that? Im not a programmer and have nothing to do with it but... It is perfect to have a web wallet and everything else but if the normal wallet is not working as it should why it is not a PRIORITY to fix that? Would like to have some answers about it, every time someone ask there is no answer but something about the web wallet and viral and blablabla but not answer

edit: there is not FUD here only a big concern

so am i the only one with trouble in the new wallet?
after the swap i put it away for 1 week.
downloaded the mand. upgrade wallet and installed after creating 2 new backups.
added the new addnodes to the .conf
opened it about 12 hrs ago, and it was stuck. several active conns, but zero progress, even after several restarts.
looking at the last few lines of the log, there were many references to orphan block(s)

deleted everything in the roaming folder, except wallet.dat, logs and .conf.
now it is stuck at the beginning of the chain, instead of the middle!

(and showing zero balance, i assume they'll be back)

10 active conns right now,
here's the last few lines of the log atm:
