i havn't mined neoscrypt before, what is the comandline to start sgminer? (tried it unmodded, won't do that again). followed this link above, and the getting started section indicates scrypt also, think OP should be updated @ exchanges and include cryptopia. Unfortunately neoscrypt remains broken because the main coder decided to keep the unified and optimized code for his own rental GPU farm. What GPU's are you mining with? The specific instructions for your GPU's involve using different versions of sgminer or cgminer per GPU generation. hi - thanks, i'm trying to fire up an old ati hd5670. also have an r9-280x but it is busy atm Maybe this info could help: I am using a r9-290x and found a few versions of sgminer for neoscrypt out there. The version that gave me the best results was downloaded from theblocksfactory mining site. Had to change the specs in the conf file of course. One original setting that caught me off guard was the temp or fan settings I believe. Didn't think about that change at first and the temp shut down kicked in. Make sure to go through the list before firing it up if you do. Am getting around 260 Kh/s at relatively non-intense settings. thanks! do you use something like: sgminer.exe -neoscrypt .... (i'd already dLed that miner (v5-dev-neoscrypt) and just tried it: *crashes*) still trying ... my bat: (tried it with and without the neoscrypt flag, same result) setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 Color 0a cgminer.exe --device 1 --neoscrypt --remove-disabled --intensity 13 -o stratum+tcp://pools2.cryptopia.co.nz:5072 -u x -p x

i remember being quite shocked at the time, but as i thought about it - new coin, not a copy-clone, ingenious dev = new pathways, = new rules.
and these had all been stated up front.

I've been here from the start when fair mining with cpu and only 2 pc's per user was enabled, there was 1 guy who got caught cheating hardcore and john banned his ip and forfeited the users coins to the faucet, there was "clear" rules to make it fair, if you didn't abide by them then it's no one elses fault.
?? Banned his IP and forfeited his coins to the faucet. I'm assuming you're talking about from control of the pool that was being used to mine? This is a decentralized technology as well, so I'm assuming that couldn't happen on an individual basis. Or perhaps I am fundamentally misunderstanding something. it did happen. someone with an overwhelimgly powerful rig, early on. i did question john about it; if i understood his reply rightly our masterful dev used his coding skills to persuade the network to reject the offending blocks, by consensus [edit!] it was NOT when pool mining - the event referred to occurred in december 2014, i believe

C-Cex is nfg. they steal coin. - some ppl lost hundreds/thousands of VNL because of their incompetence - some ppl lost hundreds/thousands/millions? of maryjane for the same reason - have heard of other things that i personally can't confirm
polo would be good cryptopia is absolutely awsome for such a small (but growing) userbase

I am unable to sync my wallet. It's 5 weeks behind. Last block I have is 288816 I am using the original post conf and have added in all the nodes I've seen on last 2 pages.
I've even tried running the wallet by itself and still won't sync.
Need some help here.
if the above does not help try (first, make a backup copy or 3 of the .dat) deleting everything blockchain related from the roaming folder and let the wallet resync. if it still gets stuck, (and restarting it a few times doesn't fix it) then move the roaming folder to the desktop (anywhere), start the wallet and let it sync. when it is done exit the wallet, and replace the empty .dat with your current one and start the wallet. it should automatically rescan the .dat and done currently my wallet is online and i'm mining it, if you like i can copy my blockchain to mega ...

I used to get on these when it was 420 on blocks. Wish i has kept the most of them. i'm very glad you didn't ... HODLing for about a year now Rather than post something like that. A better way is to answer these questions: 1) Rate the job of the CannabisCoin team from 1 to 10, and discuss why you think so. 2) What do you think the CannabisCoin team should be doing to improve the project and move forward? meh. i wasn't complaining. the team here could prolly use more support and less criticism not sayin criticism is a bad thing, have you hugged a tROLL lately? i want to hear more from the fringes abt ppl helping spread crypto-awareness to the mainstream. when more peeps understand the value of what satoshi gave us, we gonna fly ...

tech question:
Is a transaction required in order for a block to stake. I am thinking yes. It takes 2 ... one stake and one send/payment.
Post addies. Will be testing this concept next week. M-F
i think it's stakeweight alone that drives the staking engine. coin-age in days x #_of_coins = stakeweight i believe, so 2 ppl on earth are staking 1000 BCC, the one with the oldest coin will create a block and release reward (so he now has 2 chunks of 500 w/0 coinage + stake) and the other still has (one chunk of) 1000, but not for long ... i do think the qt wallets are a bit buggy tho - like a random tx I/O might loosen things up a bit to start a process ... for testing or other purposes, there's a BCC addy in my sig
