422  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Got my Trezor Today on: October 01, 2014, 05:47:40 AM
What's the difference between hoarding Bitcoin in a trezor vs hoarding Bitcoin in say, an USB stick and a backup in a harddrive and whatnot? Is it waterprooft?

If you're completely clueless about how to safely manage your btc (like the general population of Joe's), then Trezor is for you. Even if an expert on computer security, trezor is still pretty mobile compared to all the other secure ways of storing/sending transactions.

424  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering BTC loans [no collateral] on: September 30, 2014, 09:53:37 PM
I just try in hope I can get loan with small amount and I'll get money transfer from my mom this week so i can buy bitcoin and paid early. Big thank you if you can lend me big amount of bitcoin because I have a plan for invest at cloud mining and I already calculate everything, I would like to loan about 20 BTC to 50 BTC, repayment about 1.5 year with 5% to 10% interest, per month installment.

I've already replied to all your requests just a few posts ago, however your persistency has paid off. I'll give you the minimum you've requested, 20 btc. Mining has terrible ROI, so feel free to pay it back in 5 years (although I'd appreciate it if you can repay sooner), but make sure you earn a lot of profit first. Make your mom proud.

Here is your 20btc loan, let me know when everything is ok:

I always think about the risk of invest at cloud mining, I always worry if the site has down and I lost all my investation.

I sent you the 20btc loan, it shows that you have already spent it on your mining. Can you confirm?? Hopefully my loan will serve you well.

requesting .05 for 10hours i need to invest something . and i can pay back you .06

The line directly above you applies to you as well.

No loans to untrustworthy gamblers.
426  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling $500 Amazon Gift Card on: September 30, 2014, 08:43:08 AM
bought with bitcoin, can prove with receipt and TX id. Like I stated in the original post

This won't prove anything. You could have used the $500 from gyfts yourself, then sell a different $500 GC that was fraudulently obtained (by you or someone you unknowingly bought it from), then giving the Tx ID from the gyft purchase.

Unless you give someone trusthworthy access to your gift account and email it was sent to, it's hard to actually verify what you're saying. The gyft account, email, Tx ID, and amazon code must all match up.

Sigh.. please actually read.

Like I said I'm willing to screen share my Gyft account, and the email. And if the escrow wants to view my account then they may.
Only to prospective buyers.

Initially, you offered screen share of your Gyft account, with no mention of email also. Gyft account alone is useless. You never offered email until now.

The Amazon code must be from the email confirmation sent by Gyft, and the Tx ID must match them time and amount it was purchased from gyft. I'd be interested in buying it if you're willing to let me verify myself.
427  Economy / Lending / Re: 1-2 BTC 2 Week Loan needed to keep up with demand - 25% Interest rate on: September 30, 2014, 08:34:10 AM
You obviously have the cash, and you're not new to making the exchanges. So what's so hard about using some of that cash to go buy some btc rather than asking for a loan with a higher interest than the premium for buying quick btc? Many people on this forum can easily fill a request of 2btc exchange.
428  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering BTC loans [no collateral] on: September 30, 2014, 08:09:42 AM
do you only offer loan in BTC? or USD too ? like btcjam
I've given several fiat loans in this thread.

What percent would you give me if I lend you my bitcoins for a small interest. Something like 1-2% tops weekly . I have around 1.52 on 1 address, and 2.81 waiting 3-4 days for my purchase at coinbase to finalize.

By the way, I read your whole thread, it amazes me the kind of requests you get. Everything from 0% interest free loans, to dead obvious scam requests, to some sketchy early repayment tactics with bigger loan requests.

Good luck on your loaning business man , I laugh my ass off on some of the replies you give these people. Like the guy asking for a loan just for rep, lol Really?
Welcome to the forum. You actually took the time to read all 30+ pages  Cheesy.

I give out loans but I never need one. My reserve just for loans is large enough.

Request amount: 0.04
Reason: Invest in alt-coin
What's wrong with requesting a loan from people that you've already borrowed from? Your profile suggests that it's not for alt-coin. I could be wrong, but most likely not  Wink

i need loan 0.1 btc
Denied. No loans to untrustworthy gamblers.
429  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering BTC loans [no collateral] on: September 30, 2014, 07:54:03 AM

Amount: 0.05 - 0.10 BTC (Since this is my first time, 0.05 would be ok)
Duration: 14 days (I will pay half for the first week and another half in the 2nd week)
Repayment amount: 5% interest per week (10% interest in 14 days)
Why: I need some BTC to trade with altcoins. Currently I have dogecoin, CAPTcoin, stellar and Hyperstake and I'm trading them for BTC and since their value is low at the moment I think it's not wise to sell them and it's the best time to invest.

My address: 12HpjdmBH5vUDfCwRZK7GKBsLQmnr5UVqw

Denied unless you can provide enough doges.

This are my wallets for doge, capt and stellar. I have some 60K doge and 15K capt and 30K stellar. I think this is enough as collateral.

I'm only interested in holding the 60k doge as collateral, which will get you the requested 0.05btc. I'll send to you btc address once you deposit to the doge address below:

Would you accept fiat equivalent collateral for the loan +10%? (USD Bank via Wells Fargo)

A fiat backed loan hap will almost do for anyone including a newb but it does beg the question of why not just buy the BTC with your fiat from say coinbase and then just sell back the BTC you make from whatever machine I suspect your buying or will be getting from whatever program you may be involved with when it pays out.

I'm trying to (see my recent threads I have about $3.4k to buy BTC with) but I'm having no luck at all

If anyone can find me a place where fast bank to BTC is applicable for Wells Fargo accts in the USA then let me know, I'm not having any luck tried most major exchanges so far.

I can give out loans in btc backed by fiat. But keep in the mind that this is a LOAN and the fiat is collateral, this is NOT a trade. I still want the btc back rather than keeping the cash.

I'm definitely not accept Wells Fargo online transfer. It's no better than paypal in terms of reversibility, and I'm not trusting you with $3.4k of reversible funds. If you want it backed by fiat, you can mail me the cash. Send USPS priority and I'll receive in 2 days.

I'm still open to your iphone as collateral as well.

432  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Got my Trezor Today on: September 30, 2014, 12:55:20 AM
I wouldn't trust a Trezor bought on Ebay.

It's still plastic wrapped and the Trezor seal is still on the box. Did I waste my money? Cry

It might be OK but you should contact Trezor on this.

Yes but have you seen how well-made a lot of Chinese clones are nowadays? There will be times when you will not be able to tell the difference. For a device like this, it does not look difficult to make the Trezor casing and packaging. All it takes is malicious firmware and your btc is as good as gone once you plug it into a computer with internet a few times.

I might sound paranoid, but personally I wouldn't trust the source unless it's verifiable. You should ask that ebay seller to provide the original receipt of the Trezor.

btcbonzana has repaid his loan.

I would like a loan of BTC0.01, for 5 days. It's your choice for the interest, but I will say 30% works for me. If you approve please send it to 1Money4oCG72CUELXtm9271c8tXgWvp4nw. Thanks.
Denied, newb with too much gambling asking for a loan, we all know how that will turn out.

435  Economy / Services / Re: Silver Wallets Signature Campaign on: September 29, 2014, 07:32:46 PM
If the price of 1 bitcoin increases or decreases, will we still get the silver wallet loaded with 0.2?

I don't think you fully understand this product. It's a wallet, not the typical physical coin that you see around here. That implies that you load it yourself however many btc you want in it.
436  Economy / Services / Re: Silver Wallets Signature Campaign on: September 29, 2014, 07:23:27 PM
Ok I'm requesting to join, and adding the sig as of this post. I'm choosing this campaign because it's the only unique one that rewards in something other than btc. Sometimes people don't actually need the btc and would rather have the product; Similar to getting presents vs money on Christmas. It's just more satisfying  Wink.

PS - I like the hero variant sig. Classy, yet not obnoxiously flashy like the majority of ads. Whoever designed it, props to you.
437  Economy / Digital goods / Re: wallet.dat file on: September 29, 2014, 06:38:21 AM
Here's the actual math involved to accomplish working with lists like this :
-snipped-
So, if you could use the entire planet as a hard drive, storing 1 byte per atom, using stars as fuel, and cycling through 1 trillion keys per second, you'd need 37 octillion Earths to store it, and 237 billion suns to power the device capable of doing it, all of which would take you 3.6717 octodecillion years.

Did you sit there and do the calculations yourself? If you did, man I'm quite impressed with the effort put in just to make a point. Of course I'm not going to go through the math just verify all the numbers.

It won't matter though, the few guys in here will still say there's a possibility to hit jackpot with the address and matching key, regardless of how hard it is a fathom those numbers.
438  Other / Off-topic / Re: Just lost 8 BTC on: September 29, 2014, 05:09:50 AM
I can see this thread will provoke some nice quality discussion about bitcoin. And by quality discussion, I actually mean newb crying about how he lost what he can't afford to lose...

edit: this was posted when this thread was still in the main discussion forum.

Now i have no money to pay my bills/rent. Why did i do it..... WHYYYY!!!!!!

You more than deserved it until you can actually come to your senses. Big roller that can't actually afford it...
439  Economy / Services / Re: Silver Wallets Signature Campaign on: September 29, 2014, 05:03:40 AM
No offence, but in a bitcoin forum, i expect myself to be paid in bitcoins as everyone does. If you are not offering the choice, i am not in. End of story.

The reason is that i am not in USA or a developed country in which i can easily receive it. So, either it gets held up and i will never get it, or i will get it after a few years. So due to geographical reasons, i opt out, that is if you are not offering an alternative.

^ Man this guy feels entitled. It's OP's campaign, how are you going to tell him what he should reward you in? It's one thing to suggest it, it's another to demand, then give an ultimatum like he did you a disservice by not meeting your needs. Every campaign pays out in btc.. except this one, which isn't what you want, so why are you still here?

How are you going to opt out when you were never in?  Cheesy
440  Economy / Services / Re: Silver Wallets Signature Campaign on: September 29, 2014, 02:35:21 AM
the value of the 1 troy oz in each silver wallet, it looks like that silver is trading at ~$17.60 per oz, so based on $375 BTC/USD exchange rate the amount of silver is worth ~0.047 BTC at current exchange rates.

That's spot price. Silver doesn't spontaneously pop out of the ground and become these silver wallet. They're mined, refined, and finally minted. It's like you've never heard of production cost and all other logistical costs.
