Think you should tie the conversions to the different phases you have planned for the coins , so each time a new feature get in the ''dip'' from ppl converting don't get too brutal. To keep a balance with interest in the coin and more coins being thrown in.
Agreed. Look at Silkcoin. They are doing 2 POW phases to ease market dumping. As long as new/stout attributes are applied and confirmed during the conversion(s) then you will maintain interest. The main point is getting those phases working seamlessly. The developments implemented successfully should create confidence for the next implementation and the coin won't be dumped hardcore save for what can only be assumed to be normal/healthy trading. |

Just answer me this. Why does it matter if it's 1:1 or 5:1 as long as the ratio of coins is the same. Someone give me an answer because it clearly won't effect the value of your holdings. All it allows me to do is lower the total coin count thus making the values of Harmony higher. This is a move to increase the value of your holdings, yet you guys are flipping out.
It doesn't. My point was rhetorical consistency. People react to a change in plans/numbers even if it evens out in the wash. The crypto market is like a bunch of prairie dogs who are reacting to airplane shadows...news travels fast and misinterpretation happens just as quickly. Having a clear and concise plan is very important. Any speculative changes should be done in question form and allotted for community discussion...it gives the impression of collaboration rather than the immediate jumping to unintended conclusions. I'm in it regardless...I'm just trying to advise how things can get a out of control when words and announcements get changed in the middle without any clear impetus... |

I said 1:1 in a pre-pre-pre-ann, I'm trying to think of what is best for the future of Harmony.
In the future, it would be very considerate to make announcements that sound like there is a definite plan (4 phases, 1:1 ratio, destruction of coins, etc) and then not retroactively refer to it as a pre-pre-pre ann. It can't really be claimed that no one knows that the market doesn't react to what is stated and dev credibility is more important than the number of coins. Dreamcoin for example - less than 2 million coins, an excellent working wallet with very consistent POS and the price tanked when they found out the dev was nothing more than a runaway artist. |

So the bottom one is correct. I'm certainly not impatient as I am in it for the long haul (really interested to see how things go) but for the record, I haven't seen any coins show up yet. I was on Polo trollbox yesterday and someone mentioned NRS...I replied with 6 month plan from the dev in the ANN op and how that was a great indication on the seriousness of the coin. Invest in the dev more than the coin... Will check out the Polo box again... |

I'm glad you did; saved me from digging. The android wallet actually does sound exciting if it happens. Many coins toss it around like it would be cool but it never happens. If XC does it than it becomes much more accessible... |

While the anon feature is driving much of the price at this point I still say the things coming down the pipeline are of much more importance and will drive this coin much higher.

I was wondering the same thing I asked that question on page 20ish. The fact that it is still an issue should be a clear indicator that this coin is not even remotely serious or even gives a rats arse about Californian citizens. It's another country coin with no clear improvement and meant to hype on the 'worlds 8th biggest economy'...but they really aren't trying to get in touch with Californians, are they? |
