Quatloo is now on page 1 at coinmarketcap , its in top 100   #85 and moving up!

come to the freenode irc channel, #quatloocoin.  Ive also coded a price/market summary bot for quatloo at the channel.

so we will have a botwar in qtl/btc monday Cheesy

I actually watched what I assumed were the API trading tool(s) on Friday when there was very little action.  Tons of 1 QLT buy/sells...I watched them all day and then was tired of how long it was taking and bought into the sells.  I figured then that the app is operational unless someone was using their own bots which seems unlikely.
822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bittrex Windows Trading Application for all coins , Quatloo-Trader on: July 27, 2014, 03:29:08 PM
One is the ability to click a sell bid , say 6 bids down, and see the total amount of coins and btc that would need to buy out to that level. In fact, you can mouse over and/or click on any book order bid listed in the buying or selling list and see how much btc and coin that bid would cost to buy or sell to that point in the book.  There are so many other little things like that, but one big thing is it is faster than the website!  And when you are ready to play with the other automated goodies in Quatloo-trader,  they are there for you.

I think that this may be an understated aspect of the app...I actually do waste a bit of time doing that math myself.

It's going to be fun checking out how it works tomorrow...Smiley

It's going to be an interesting next couple of days.  I don't think that this has even really started yet...
824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bittrex Windows Trading Application for all coins , Quatloo-Trader on: July 27, 2014, 01:51:01 AM
So this is like a crypto trading bot?

I suppose you could say that.. but its more like a API trading tool for manual trades and automated and timed tasks.
Its not designed to trade for you. And its designed to be a better, faster alternative to the web interface.

So how does this stack up against the Rubycoin bot? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703914.0

One difference is it is free by comparison.  Rubycoin charges but Quatloo-Trader just requires you to own 100QLT (You don't have to use them as payment; just have them).

Not sure about the other details as Rubycoin is not very specific and more details about Quatloo-Trader get released with the app on Monday...

By the way, when I say deceptive I don't mean it in an intentional kind of way.  It was just something that could easily be misinterpreted/misunderstood by those who skim through the information...-thumbsup-

You really ought to elaborate on your point.  Where can someone get a misinterpretation about coins that exist right now?

In the OP it says that Max coin supply is 100000000.  A lot of other coin ANN's state their max coin supply but their POW period lasts 2 weeks instead of ten years...so the possible implication people might get is that there are 100000000 coins in circulation right now if they don't go through the specs themselves and just skimmed the OP.  That is why a page or two ago the person was saying that this was a 100000000 coin...this post https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=655793.msg7994665#msg7994665

He was confused and I was just trying to point out why.

I didn't mean to be disrespectful at all and apologize if I came across as such.  I have nothing but mad respect for what you are doing.

Everyone remember when Obama tried to convince everyone he was like Jesus?  "...contrary to popular opinion I was not born in a manger..." yada yada  Well that turned out not to be true also.

Your analogy is pretty bad.

For one, Obama did not try to convince people he was like Jesus.  People joke and make off handed comments all of the time which are not intended to be taken serious (which means it can't be stated that he 'was trying to convince people').

For two, you stated a premise and then declared it to be false which, by rhetorical construction, implies either that he never tried to convince people or that his attempt to convince people was false indicating that he is indeed like Jesus.

Logic 101 - phrasing order and punctuation are important.

As for the rest...I don't know.  But the dev has a coin named after him that is pretty darn innovative...jlhcoin/asset.  Regardless of the order in which he entered the project, he seems stout...more stout than a majority of the coins out there.

how many coins are currently in circulation ?

This is where the OP to this thread is kind of deceptive....the total amount of coins at this time is 1,158,328.94.

http://explore.quatloos.org:2750/

It will take about ten years to reach max coin supply at the current rate...more if there are any block halvenings (didn't see any in the OP)...

Point is...there aren't that many coins available right now.

I appreciate all the questions.. it will help me in drafting the announcement thread today.

Is support for other exchanges going to be added in the future?

Also, I think that the video tutorial should be prominent in the announcement to help facilitate ease of use.

Thank you too!   I don't call it a bot, it is a API trading tool with many benefits  for regular manual trading as well as some automated tasks.

My apologies; I am a firm believer in applying proper terminology and will not refer to it as such again...Smiley

I have acquired and may acquire some more...but I am pretty excited to see what happens next week!

.....

but this is 100000000 coin.........

What do you mean?
What I'm saying is the total coin is 100m, coin is currently trading at 3000k sat is'nt the coin expensive?

Only 1.1 million coins now...with ~25000 new coins a day.  At current rate, it will take 10 years to get to 100 million.

I am definitely intrigued at a bot being available.  The above poster is right...bot programs are kind of expensive (5-6 BTC is about average for a good one in my experience)...I can't wait to check it out, especially if it will be available for all coins on Bittrex.

This does sound like a pretty big (and unique) innovation for a crypto.
833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPO of MaidSafe:  Entering the Future of the Decentralized Internet on: July 24, 2014, 04:03:45 AM
I bought some maidsafe way back during the IPO and haven't done anything, but I did find my BTC address on the IPO spreadsheet way back on day 1.  Is the only way to get them to import the private key to the BTC address I used to buy them into Omniwallet?

I don't like the idea of ever touching my private key so I guess I would have to send all my BTC to a newly created wallet before doing this?

I'm in the same boat.  I haven't touched the BTC wallet I used for the IPO...and I am skeptical of Omni (only because I don't really like online wallets).  Was going to do Masterchest but then they stopped supporting it.

At this point, I figure I'll just wait for the Safe Network to go live and the exchange for Safecoin.  I'm not terribly worried about using the above since I have been known to leave coins on exchanges but would rather that I have somewhere on my computer for them to end up on.

So yeah...if you want to move them then creating a whole new wallet for your BTC is not a bad idea.  As for moving the Maidsafe, I have no reason to think that Omni/Polo/Masterchest are unsafe...just that I have no need to want to move my Maid out of what is likely safe enough for now.
834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TRI] on: July 23, 2014, 06:24:02 AM
bittrex was disabled earlier, but not anymore. .

Why?
835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: July 23, 2014, 05:16:09 AM
They already gathered 2000 btc. Let's say they are able to gather 10,000 BTC. If it's 10% coins, then market cap is 100,000 BTC right after IPO is over. Doesn't look like a profitable investment.

Ding ding ding!

Winner! Except for the Ethereum devs and those who muscle it out for awhile.

This is going to be huge but the immediate drop off when everyone figures out that they need to get people to accept the platform is going to be pretty big....and the sidechain issue for Bitcoin 2.0 is going to have an effect.

Like an above poster, I agree that this is awesome and the devs deserve some incentive.  But it will be some time before integration happens so people need to mute expectations short term.
836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [VENT] venturecoin FULL ICO * Including whitepaper + TOR ANON on: July 23, 2014, 03:21:33 AM
How long is the ICO?  And what does this coin offer that others don't to warrant a 150 BTC Fundraiser?

Were you waiting for the ether sale to go live to look like a deal in comparison?
837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storjcoin X (SJCX) - A Coin for Decentralized Cloud Storage on: July 22, 2014, 01:34:54 AM
Could someone describe how the early mining will work please?  Is it a situation where you will get to mine a correlative amount to the BTC sent in the crowd sale?  Or will the early mining just get you the ability to mine and then the biggest 'farm set-up'? wins?

Also, what kind of equipment for mining is optimal?

Much appreciated...I am sure that I could have scoured the forums for these answers but it would eat up some time...
838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Storjcoin X (SJCX) - A Coin for Decentralized Cloud Storage on: July 21, 2014, 02:17:19 AM
For everyone calling scam, perhaps you should do some research.  Shawn and David, the two guys behind Storj and Maidsafe, are seen hear talking with each other.  They both have stated that their projects should eventually compliment each other...and the dev work for both is already progressing well.  I'm on the Maidsafe side but appreciate what Storj is doing...so do some research before calling scam!
