I remember about a month ago, I sold my XC (300 or so) to gamble on another coin so that I could purchase more XC.  It worked.

It is mildly amusing to me that the coin I 'gambled' on was BitcoinDark.  Yeah...if I had just chilled I would have made over 10 BTC from .5 BTC...

While I kind of cringe at the amount of XC that would buy right now, I am not that worried.  REV 3 has been the goal all along.  Lots of big milestones ahead for this platform and an outstanding team to accomplish it.  It's a top 15 coin with a roadmap like no other...

From the article - "With development led by Boston based Dan Metcalk, XCurrency is still technically a DAC."

Where did he get the idea that XC is a DAC?  As far as I knew, there isn't anything contained within XC that would qualifies anything of that nature at this time.  Is he confusing XC with the recent BTSX excitement or is there a veiled hint in there?

I love where this coin is going and pretty pleased to have bought back in...the level of development here isn't rivaled by many coins at all...

Ill simply state some facts, and you can call me a fudder or whatever, I really dont care. Im a grown mature man with very strong ethics and morals. Ill state some facts, and then you guys do as you wish after that. Youll call me a fudder. I gave up name calling about 40 years ago. Heres my story. A couple of weeks ago I was the victim of the zipcoin virus were I lost over $15,000 in coins. I wanted to warn the community. Read the whole story here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=721306.220 . Initially as you can see I was called a fudder, and a liar, and then accused of trying to drive the price down. Read on, as youll see later in the story that many others came forward and admitted they lost thousands too right after downloading the zipcoin wallet. After this incident, I made myself a promise that ALL new wallets will go on a fresh install of windows. As I have over 10 computers with 5 graphics cards each, this can easily be achieved. So on a clean install I downloaded Nightmare wallet, and all was well. I put a LONG password on with letters numbers symbols. Over 20 characters in length. I then began to mine with ccminer that I downloaded from kbutchers github (official), and left it running encrypted and unlocked for staking. About 2 weeks go by, and I check on it , and ALL 4000 +/-  coins that were mined have been stolen. Its just me and my wife in  my home and she doesnt even know how to turn on a computer. So there it was with a long password encrypted and STILL unlocked and running and cleaned out! I can only draw one conclusion, you make your own.

Doesnt much matter now, Im over it, and dev wont return. The BEST thing I can really be glad about is I did NOT put this on my main wallet pc. Guys, hidden premines are the old way they stole from you, now they have a trojan built into the wallet .exe file. Guys DONT put new wallets on your "main wallet pc".

I added your quote to my signature with a link to this post.  Hope that was cool... (Though really, some in my circle were aghast at the ZipCoin deal and I think it is important to spread this news around now so others don't get taken advantage of...this is my way of spreading the news beyond being stuck in the offending coins thread)...

I'm over it.  This should be easy from here on out.  Don't trust a dev unless there is a 4+ POD and the source has been reviewed and linked within the POD'ed individuals' post.

Losing everything you worked for because you want to be first is a lame way to lose.

New thread lessens the attention this coin is getting...I kind of like it....for now...

Nice.  This will definitely be an interesting one to watch.  The pace of development seems to be pretty rockin'...

What sort of fees?

We'll find out tomorrow. All we know is that XC is planning to implement a revenue-generating wallet feature through a development collaboration with Qibucks...or something like that.

Full details to come tomorrow.

Qibucks is having some sort of lottery, every so much Qibucks you have in your wallet. They have a lottery that will convert that to bitcoin ATM card. Something along those lines. I hope XC doesn't do that.

I have no idea where you got that information from but I can tell you that isn't the case lol. Please always get the correct information before spreading it Cheesy

He's referring to the Proof of Bagholder Pool in your OP.

It's close enough to where I could figure out what he was talking about...

It's been several days now since any XC daily update.

I am going through withdrawals.......  Cry

There is definitely one coming tomorrow so I wouldn't worry too much about it...

Umm is it just me or does anyone else not give a sh*t about the coin, they want to actually use the service.

Looking forward to the service indeed...

Does anyone have a mac wallet that is successfully staking? Wallet has been open for 5 days, no stakes yet...I hear people saying it can take a week or two, is that correct?

Approximately...http://xc-official.com/staking/

Payments of interest can be made at any point between 8 hours and 30 days after the previous payment.

I have a Windows wallet and have not staked in 20 days...I'm not worried.

Hijacked thread.  I did some reading to catch up and I see a hijacked thread.

Awesome.  I visit this thread to read about XC...not QiBucks or any other coin.  Collaboration is cool and something I support as a concept but I don't see that here. I see another coin jumping in because they have contacts talking about how cool their coin is and how cool it is that they get to now associate their coin with an established platform...in other words, I see ego.  Some of the concerns regarding QiBucks is valid and some maybe aren't.  I didn't really want to care but now I have to go read another thread to try and grasp anything beyond what has been demonstrated in what has been a very heated several pages.

My opinion - Regardless of how awesome or not the collaboration may be, I think that Qibucks should have let the XC team present the idea.  It disrupted the flow of the thread a very good deal.

Can Synechist please give an official word on what is happening here? I took the day off from reading for family reasons and have no idea what is going on. I would prefer either him or Tekka commented to summarize please.

DRK people are trying to make Kristov thinks that XC still cost 550 XC to setup an XNode.   Can't respond on that thread, but the team needs to clear up this misperception some how.

Just message him.  It doesn't look like an attempt to intentionally mislead him...

Ok...I sent some BTC for the Crowdsale. How will I be able to participate in Driveshare and MetaDisk?  Is this all going to be handled through the CounterParty wallet?

Honest question...

Please correct me if I'm not understanding this correctly, but is the total coin supply 36m? Does this include the ipo? And if so isn't the IPO a tad overpriced?
You guys need to spend more than 2 seconds reading and maybe you will not need to be corrected like children. Look at the block reward. 3. It will take a thousands of years to reach 36 million.

19-20 years.

I'm surprised at people who don't do the math when deciding whether or not to invest as well.

But I think that one of the more pertinent questions regards the following -

Quote
How big will be the changes in BitCoin source?

Huge. In order to test and implement such changes we will have to completely rewrite BitCoin core and it will require quite a lot of resources to do that. This is probably one of the most ambitious project in AltCoin history, but we have a clear vision how to make it work.

Is there Bitcoin Core support/approval/interaction of this project?  If so, is it explicit?  I grant that the project is ambitious and if you guys can do it then hats off and it certainly sounds cool...as a research/development project it looks like a worthwhile investment just to see if you can do it/will do it.

But integration with BTC is not a drop in the bucket reference and as such I would like to see some clarification regarding the quoted...even if it is along the lines of, "We think that this will rock so hard that the inevitable acceptance of our re-write will occur."  Brash statements are cool if they are recognized as brash from the get go and not inferred as a specific and inevitable part of the development roadmap...

If this was addressed in previous pages than my apologies...
