I'm impressed that he didn't seem even aware of XC....I think things are going to get very interesting in the next month or so when he and others realize that Dan and team is the real deal.

I think that this is a real indicator on just how under the radar XC is...which won't last for too long.

Exciting times ahead.

Dev, can you put roadmap in OP please?

Also correct spelling of "interim" and "address" in the roadmap graphic if you can.  :-)

NEVER do a rollback. I can't take any coin that does a rollback seriously, because then you've just elected the dev as your central authority. Why not just use fiat if you're ok with that?
XC will rollback?

I agree with no rollback.

One idea is to embark upon a community PSA describing the dangers of holding on an exchange and reinforcing the reasons for maintaining XC in personal wallets.  A sort of guide that would act as a FAQ and/or How-to that could be of benefit to new users and other communities as well....

We need to be encouraging personal responsibility here since alt coins are designed to be held by the individual.  Education is key and it isn't really too difficult even for the non tech inclined...

Just a thought...

Aye...I don't even download wallets anymore until time has passed.  That is how bad it has gotten in crypto...Zipcoin was pretty scary.

I'm liking the POD trend though a lot and kudos to SSD Dev for gaining it right off the bat.

I did lose 1.25m coins, which could be what killed your guys momentum the other day. You can see someone dumped 800k at once.

How did you lose that many coins if I may ask?

That totally sucks...

seems like a lot of people hold this coin, stagnan price at bittrex.

waiting something new from dev to moving the price.

Don't forget that this coin more or less debuted when the entire alt coin market went into mild hell mode...with POW not over yet and the dev known, still working and communicative.  Nothing but upside right now...

Something is definintely not right with bitinfocharts...

http://bitinfocharts.com/x11coin/nodes-active/

It's saying there's only 5 active nodes?

Has to be something wrong...I can't be the only one with an open wallet.

   1. The network will be reliant on these PoS transactions when it goes entirely PoS in a couple of days.
    2. If you dont have the coins on your local wallet you either arent generating stake that is applied to your balance, or you arent staking at all depending on the exchange your coins are on.

I'll transfer them to my wallet before then...-thumbsup-

If they're at bittrex, they are not on your own account. Also, as another downside for keeping them in an exchange, is the exchange will be earning PoS blocks, and not you.

I'm pretty sure that exchange wallets are specifically not POS enabled because of the amount of coins they would earn...
752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SSD] SonicScrewdriver [PoW/PoS] Sha256.[Tor Included]BITTREX CCEX and Bleutrade on: August 13, 2014, 10:37:26 PM
Just an updated richlist parse using robs parser.
These are just addresses with 1000 or more in them

If my coins are still on Bittrex (haven't moved them yet) will it show up as it's own address or be lumped in with exchange addresses...because I don't see my amount number on there...
753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SSD] SonicScrewdriver [PoW/PoS] Sha256.[Tor Included]BITTREX CCEX and Bleutrade on: August 13, 2014, 10:34:37 PM
If POS blocks start occurring during the POW phase it just means that there will be fewer POW coins...I've seen it happen on several coins and is generally considered a positive sign.
754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SSD] SonicScrewdriver [PoW/PoS] Sha256.[Tor Included]BITTREX CCEX and Bleutrade on: August 13, 2014, 05:09:33 AM
To address this, the first anon feature is already implemented in this coin. When you start the qt or daemon, you setup a TOR node with which to connect to the network. This removes the ip information from anything put into the block chain since there is no IP to pass only a .onion address. Those of you familiar with TOR will know that if you feel this has been compromised all you have to do is generate a new onion address. This removes the ability to track the block back to the ip that submitted it.
If you were to attempt to remove TOR you would actually break your install. As far as I know this is unique in a SHA pow/pos coin.
Now getting to the disconnect of tx vs rx addresses, I have not specified how that was going to happen so how could you compare it to an existing tech?
And I believe they were referring to the anon features as the promises.

Thank you for the response.  I can appreciate the detail.

To be fair, I wasn't comparing anon tech with anon tech.  I was wondering if there were going to be further features beyond anon implementation as there are many coins with such...I'm already mining so it is more curiosity than any attempt to assert.
755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SSD] SonicScrewdriver [PoW/PoS] Sha256.[Tor Included]BITTREX CCEX and Bleutrade on: August 13, 2014, 03:19:28 AM
if dev delivers on promises this can easily become the next btcd. still a bargain at 240.

What promises?

No offense but all I see are anon features.  Many coins have them and two of the current ones are based off of old XC technology...

I am genuinely interested to hear more for sure and Kudos to an interactive dev...

800 blocks to go,
We need you to show some work dev.
Price will drive crazy.

white paper with further details of our work should be ready in time when we hit pos.

Just quoting things...don't mind me...

yeah i stopped using cryptsy.

I liked Cryptsy...but there are too many issues I am hearing from disconnected sources.

If they get their shite together than maybe...but they still haven't updated the name of XC from X11coin to XCurrency.  I know I am not the only one who has been pushing for it.  Seems like a small detail but it is a simple fix which, to me, indicates larger problems.

Is there any news from HashEvolved ?

I think that the guy(s) behind HashEvolved were independent of the XC team.  Not sure if they are working on it but I believe that multipool options were being looked elsewhere...

I would like a multipool for XC but I don't think it is necessary...
