When I launch minerc, a window pops up for a split second and then closes immediately...how do I input code from Step 5 above?

Is there anything that needs to be done after the Wallet is created and the command "start_mining" has been entered with the Daemon open?

Doesn't seem to be anything happening...

Devs, it's probably a good idea to update the website to reflect the current projects and timelines.

I second that.  Definitely a good idea...
924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 16, 2014, 06:00:29 AM
Where are the real people invested in Silkcoin that aren't part of this scam?

Evidence this is a scam.

Same link over and over again. Many people read more than one page of this thread...so stop posting it on every single page.

The VO was addressed earlier.  By two different people and with the same conclusion.

Gawd...aren't you tired yet?  You ain't got to be a doof to hang, dude....

two scams, same random voice over, the next coin is yours, same voice over. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahaha

Please read carefully... This is the email I sent to Brad Ziffer (the Coinmart voice over guy), and his response...

Subject: Voice over enquiry - Coinmart, Numus, Silkcoin Projects

Hi,

I was led to your webpage through the BitcoinTalk & DigitalCoin forums where there is currently some passionate discussion about some voice-over work you have done for a couple of projects.
It would be great if you could take a couple of minutes to answer a single question in relation to some claims that are being made about these projects.

First, I am not sure if you are aware, however the Coinmart & Numus projects (referred to in the link below) appear to have been elaborate scams where investors lost money.
http://digitalcoin.co/forums/index.php?topic=988.0

No-one is claiming in any way that you knowledgeable to the intent of the scammers, only that they used your service to produce a very professional & reputable sounding video to sell the scam.

There are now claims that the Silkcoin project (links below) also used your voice, and therefore that project is also a scam.
The developers of the Silkcoin project claim to have used the VoiceBunny service of actor #2T24JCO (link below)...

So, the question is....

Did Brad Ziffer provide the voice over for this Silkcoin video Huh

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnMfLxSYVnc

If you could make a statement on this, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance
Steve

Email Response from Brad:

Hi Steve!

I just took a listen to the link u sent. That particular VO is not me, but I have been hired for BitCoin VO via Voices.com and Voice123 in the past.

I'm not aware of any of these things being scams. I'm simply paid upfront to read scripts and turn them over to the client. I'm not involved in any project, beyond narrating the scripts. I'm a full time VO actor... And I often wonder of the validity of the scripts I'm given.

But as I said, that Silkcoin project is not me.

Best,

Brad

Ummm...really?  You obviously weren't aware of the fact that he was brain implanted by reptilian overlords who have an interest in perpetuating a dichotomy of truth and lie in order to further grey the lines between human and computer facsimiles of voice reproduction and the causes that they are enabled for support.  Brad can't speak for himself and should be trusted to communicate his past experiences.

Any third grader would understand that the above is a more viable and logical explanation than a simple email interaction between two real people...

"Pfft," I say...

Buy the way this is a message to the scammers. Once this thing does implode, if you paid in any way the voice over guy in a way that can be traced to you you will have about 5000 angry Silkcoins clowns be after your blood. Now all they have to do it get the voice over guy to give over financial details and then you can actually be arrested under fraud laws.

I already emailed him and told him the situation and to hold finincial records.

My advice is to go now rather than later.

If?  You spam vitriol based on an "If"?

Bounty Idea Smiley

Post a screen grab of MEGAman ignored to receive a small amount of SC  Smiley Unfortunately I don't have the SC to spare, but here is mine Smiley LOL

I think that is a terrible idea.  That does not serve the community in any way.

Um, ya I'm a little worried about SC going to Mintpal.  I have about 12000 silk that I bought at 3600.  Usually coins that are voted onto Mintpal get dumped hard.  I'm worried about that.  Would've much rather seen Mintpal add Silk because they wanted the trading volume NOT because of voting.  Not to be a party killer btw Cheesy
Same experience here. As Yellowcoin hit Mintpal it was worth 2000 sat. After a few days it dropped to 500. Fortunately I could sell at 1000.

Well not just Yellowcoin.  Entropycoin and Informationcoin both dropped hard.  Here's the thing though: you have to look at the fundamentals of a coin as well.  Did ENT or INT have any sort of development going on at all, or even that active of a dev?  I don't think they did.  Obviously they were shit coins, so people just wanted to dump them.  Yellowcoin I don't know much about, but I'm assuming a lot of the same.  SC at least has an active dev team, fantastic wallet, and future plans.  I'm hoping SC breaks the trend of Mintpal vote dumping!

Addtionally, most of those coins were voted on to MP.  SC is being added based on volume and quality!

That IS a HUGE difference, it's not even a comparison.  Apples to Oranges.

I thought Silk was being added on because of a vote?  If they're adding because of volume then that's great!

MyCoin was number 1 in voting...SC has the higher volume and quality...

Fluttercoin is adding a Marketplace...or saying they are.   Just an fyi from someone who thinks SC should go the decentralized marketplace route...

So what is everyone expecting at the end of POW?  Steady growth until the white paper release or a sudden spike?

Information on this is coming soon.  Not much more is known but they delivered an awesome wallet and likely have a plan to keep momentum up.
