Lol... well It was 5 cents away from my bid at $11.51 when it went up to $12.40... and I thought "well it could go back up to $13.50" but I was the last to buy when it dropped to $11.80 again. haha

I'm timing my buys on your posts  Grin

Didn't this happen last Tuesday also?

Yea I suspect its just new players entering the market as their funds arrive at the exchanges.

Do you really think this affects the bitcoin world?  Nerds don't take holidays, they are glued to their PC or cellphone 24 hours a day.

Yea IMO people throw away their money and investments when they go on holidays  Roll Eyes

3508  Economy / Speculation / Re: CRASH! on: August 02, 2011, 07:30:18 PM

I truly don't understand what drives this market other than good news / bad news.

Emotion drives price more than anything

The bears have it

Why would they go out of business? They have the equipment already, and remember most people who run these big operations are most likely doing it from a place where cheap electricity is available, so even if they are breaking even after electricity, why would they sell?

I honestly just don't see difficulty dropping to a reasonable point ever...

I'm not so sure all the big mining operations have the benefit of cheap electricity. Im sure there's a lot of players out there that are operating on slim margins @ $13. And no matter whether electricity is cheap or not, you still need to turn a profit to make mining worthwhile.

With regards difficulty - granted I don't suspect it will drop too much (if at all) but it could put the brakes on it a bit.
3511  Economy / Speculation / Re: SELL EVERYTHING!!!!! on: August 02, 2011, 07:14:37 PM
Any guesses as to when its gonna stop? 10.5?

Hard to say. This trend has a LOT of momentum and its still building...
3512  Economy / Speculation / Re: SELL EVERYTHING!!!!! on: August 02, 2011, 07:12:19 PM
THis is great, bitcoins should be cheap and affordable for all!

Well on a positive note if the price drops low enough it will push some of the big mining operations out of business. Less miners = lower difficulty.
3513  Economy / Speculation / Re: SELL EVERYTHING!!!!! on: August 02, 2011, 07:03:47 PM
I wish I sold at 13.5-14 Could've made quite a chunk of extra bitcoins right now. Oh, well.

I bought $1k at 13.7...it seemed low.

Yea I got caught out a couple times too on the way down to $13. I dumped the lot @ $12.75 and am staying out until I see I see a BIG push upwards. According to the charts, today was the first day of a negative parabolic trend in 3 months on the daily charts. IMO thats huge.
3514  Economy / Speculation / Re: SELL EVERYTHING!!!!! on: August 02, 2011, 06:59:25 PM
$170K dumped in the space of an hour or 2...lol
3515  Economy / Speculation / Re: SELL EVERYTHING!!!!! on: August 02, 2011, 06:53:23 PM

3517  Economy / Speculation / Re: BUY BUY BUY! on: August 02, 2011, 09:48:52 AM
Now is not the time to buy. I'm going in at 10.49

What makes you think the current trend will stop there?
3518  Economy / Speculation / Re: CRASH! on: August 02, 2011, 09:37:11 AM
This is a big crash & it seems to be gaining momentum. If we don't see a BIG change upward soon we could be going to single digits...
3519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Important Announcement Regarding the Mybitcoin.com Downtime on: August 02, 2011, 09:21:58 AM
mods should close this thread imo
3520  Economy / Speculation / Re: CRASH! on: August 02, 2011, 07:34:57 AM
It's sad to see so many greedy fiat monkeys in a project like this.

If price will ever crush to as low as $2.5, why would it ever go back to $100 ?  Just because YOU jump on board with your sorry ass $5000 Huh If it drops to $5 and a bunch of sorry ass monkeys buy in for $5000 each, the 82.8% chances are it will continue to drop and eventually wipe them all out before going anywhere ever.

Bought in @ $30 did we?  Grin
