SO who here timed the market swings?
1322  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: the history of power verses hash rate on: October 06, 2014, 03:22:30 AM
If anybody has a history of power consumption (W/GHS) for miners going back a couple of years, would you please share it with or send it to me? I'm trying to figure out when 2013 early 2014 miners go negative on power alone as BTC price decreases. See this post for more context. Thanks

Maybe he is attempting to win a bet? Below $266?

I have to admit I am kind of worried...there is something happening behind the scenes.

"Something a brewing"

1327  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is Rat Poison! A Message from Warren Buffet on: October 03, 2014, 07:46:31 PM
Distinguished gentlemman, this is Warren Buffet, the millionaire investor. I have been watching the bitcoin market since last year, and have warned you that it was a mirage! I told you it was rat poison.

Do not invest in bitcoin! The price is going nowhere but down. Only invest in markets that provide real utility. Bitcoin does not offer any utility, and is nothing more than a glorified digital token.

You have been warned since $680! Cut your losses now, or regret it later!

Such an old quote Smiley remember who the rats truly are.

Time will tell the tale.

4 TITANS  : two on 330mhs and two on 220mhs

That's two 220mhs actually running fine, but they just keep restart makes a avg hash 220hash shown on pool

what pool?
1329  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 28, 2014, 05:45:46 PM
i'm gonna be declaring a hell of a capital loss this year.

That is if you are take steps to realize them.
1330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: September 27, 2014, 07:12:19 AM
What sort of power draw are you guys getting? It's been reported near 1600 watts at the wall on the KNC forums. That's double what we were initially told. Can any one else confirm this?

Psu 1 860i 2 titan cubes draw at 90mhs 612watt at 120v after 12 hrs.
Psu 2 1200i other two titan cubes draw at 90mhs 612 to 670watt at 120v after 12hrs

Firmware 1.02 litecoinpool.org and bfgminer stalls out once difficulty gets to 10+. Then restarts.

I would say that as far as speed the software had adjusted to the units target operating voltages.

However because of the constant restarts the full potential is not attainable. At least for now.

Cgminer may be an option?
1331  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Second Rise of FGPAs? on: September 21, 2014, 02:35:31 PM
We as the Zeta Mining team will actually prove that FGPA based mining hardwares may be capable of competing with the latest ASIC miners. Follow us!

Not a chance.

Now I see where you're going. New poster, some bullshit claim that new mainstream technology will do miracles, about to post some business plan scam. Go away FFS.

As Stated by ckolivas, FPGA tech itself will not compete in anyway with ASIC tech today.

However innovation is always welcomed.
1332  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 15, 2014, 04:29:39 PM
SP30 August, SP20 and SP31 still missing.

SP30 and SP31 is listed I am in the process of making a dedicated sheet for speculative profitability return with a 10% network difficulty increase. 😊

I try to keep an update of hardware I own. Also since the performance is the same I consider batch orders not as vital unless a significant hardware performance is noted.

Now this is a great resource.
Great work.  Cool

Hardware vs network difficulty document has been updated to include the new hardware offering.

I like the hardware screen shot you posted earlier.

That is a great example of hardware diversity and competition that we have with a true open market.
1334  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: September 15, 2014, 04:08:28 PM
ANTMINER S3+ -B9 sales open, shipping starts on Sept. 18th  Smiley

Price:      0.58 BTC
Total disappointment. Will skip this batch at this price.
Total agreement.

and wait for what exactly? this is basically in-stock

The argument is that you may have more btc buying the coin rather than the hardware at the current btc to usd rate.

Did we ever have in BTC history a battle like this one at 480$ ?

Maybe 1$ (I was not around).

Last thing I can remember is the 100-130$ period but more stretched in time.

From the pre 266$ bubble (and after the 10$) I can't remember anything too..

EDIT: Maybe the 5$ on 2012 and 10$ same period, more stretched in time too

When it was recovering from a drop that went just over $2 BTC.
It stayed at $4-$6 range untill the new ASIC tech BFL was taking pre-order's and then shortly the subsidy reward dropped from 50 to 25 BTC a solved block.

We are not at the stagnant technology stage so I expect the network to fall in line with market conditions.

Any good crypto needs a solid network of participants to be worth what BTC is today and in the future.

Note, that the internet is what it is today because the participants continue to use it as the main network.

Anyone here recall the time btc was hovering 4.6 usd after going just over $2?

Like then this time btc is undervalued as shown by this updated hw vs projected btc return document.

I pay attention to the short term numbers 15 to 30 day indications.

If a person is wishing to get started with mining they may seriously consider the buy and hold option as your taking on less risk.

Here is an updated hardware vs return chart shared link.
