1681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Yfdai ? on: December 17, 2020, 09:15:38 AM
Guys recently i have seen yfdai

& it is at 3600
yesterday it was at $3800 ATH

Do you think it will be next YFI?

Drop your opinion, i was thinking weather it will go to moon or rekt?

Website is confusing, I prefer FARM, it's highly undervalued and easy to use.
1682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Non funded projects vs funded projects on: December 16, 2020, 04:46:19 PM
Is it just me or there are many others thinking same thing? Non ICO/IEO projects always have longer life span, where as new projects are all running after funds for better future of their projects, how about those projects that have no ICO, no premine? Some are even funded by the teams without the public penny

There are many old altcoins alive today that are not funded, litecoin, XMR etc, they did no ICO and they rocks.
Agree. When a project doesn't hold an ICO or IEO it means they have to build something with utility to generate funds for the devs to be successful. That's why I only invest in POW projects like 0xMonero and Raven.
1683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it right time to Buy Alt coins now on: December 16, 2020, 04:32:17 PM

The BTC has made history today  and broke its all time high record. It is currently trading around $ 20500 to 20600. BTC Dominance Index is around 65% which is very High. I personally think that it is the Right time to take entry in Good Alt coins ( Ranking from 2 to 20 on coinmarketcap). I believe that History of 2017 will be repeated soon. We will soon witness Huge rally in Alts. It should happen when BTC will stabilize around current levels and BTC dominance Index comes down to below 60%.

I already pivoted into alts like FARM, 0xMR, and UNCX. Altseason is here.
1684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STRANGE RISE PATTERN on: December 16, 2020, 04:31:17 PM
As we have seen in the past, the rise in the price of Bitcoin usually results in the rise in the prices of other major cryptos like ethereum, ripple, litecoin, Bitcoin cash and so on, but the recent rise in the price of Bitcoin turns the other way for Ripple (XRP) as the latest rise in the price of Bitcoin in the last 24 hours has seen the XRP's falling like no prise rise season is on.
What could XRP be doing wrong to make its price suffer the falls while it should be rising?

My biggest bags right now are XRP and 0xMonero. Alt season should occur any moment since we breached psychological resistance.
1685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What 3 Exchange Platforms Would You Want To Launch On First? on: December 16, 2020, 07:15:20 AM
It depends on how much funds you have for listing fees. I've heard that Binance charges 1 million USD. If your project is an ERC20, it's best to list on free platforms like UNISWAP, Flame.Exchange, LogicDex etc. Uniswap for example has had larger daily transaction volume than Coinbase on occasion. Put that money you would be spending on listing fees into liquidity for the pool and earn trading fees.
1686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about DeFi? on: December 16, 2020, 07:12:46 AM
I don't think the DeFi trend is going to end, I think it's going to eat traditional banking. My favorite DeFi projects are FARM, UNCX, 0xMR, CVP
1687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STRANGE RISE PATTERN on: December 16, 2020, 07:11:47 AM
XRP is a long term hold, just wait.
1688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which Crypto Exchange with liquidity that could dominate the crypto industry? on: December 16, 2020, 07:10:56 AM
Bibox looks like a winner. It all depends on where you live really. I personally like Flame.Exchange, low liquidity right now but it has low fees, no KYC, and free listings for ERC20s.
1689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hello in which coins are you invested in and which ICO´s do you prefer ? on: December 16, 2020, 07:09:46 AM
I don't invest in ICOs, IEOs, IDOs etc. I only invest in projects that are fairly mineable, had no premine, and the devs don't control the supply- like RVN and 0xMR.
1690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Black - Legit or not ? on: December 15, 2020, 07:16:02 AM
This is going to get a lot of hate but if it says Bitcoin in the name, and it's not Bitcoin, it's probably a scam. If you are new to crypto you need to do more research before making your first investment.
1691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pornhub now accepting Monero on: December 15, 2020, 07:07:59 AM
Monero can be tracked, at least Verge was private and fairly mineable.
1692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO was fair, IEO did well, STO flopped, now IDO - Is it going to survive? on: December 15, 2020, 07:07:17 AM
Being in cryptocurrency space for 3 years, I have seen many fund-gathering methods till now. I think it was 2017 where it all started.

Due to prominent smart contracts, the term ICO (Initial Coin Offering) exploded for gathering funds. We actually have a few solid projects because of ICOs where we have even enjoyed some good profits. I myself got 12x profits in an ICO called WABI. (State your highest ROI coin as well) As time passed, it got devastated by scammers and it started losing trust from investors and we witnessed another method known as IEO which is still popular now. It has proved a money making tool for reputed exchanges like Binance but it also provided good returns. I got myself 5x on one Binance IEO which I don't recall now. But this method is I think is great and provides a good investment opportunities.

Now we are witnessing IDO (Initial DEX offering) - It is a kind of fundraising method where there won't be any central custody of your funds with the help of DeFi. One such upcoming good project is MahaDAO. As DEX is not being discussed here, let's make this thread informative. How do you define IDO? Have you participated in any IDO? Do you think that it is better than current fundraising methods? Let's discuss.

ILO, Initial Liquidity Offering or "Liquidity Event" using Uniswap. That's the newest one I've heard of. Frankly, I don't invest in any projects that take funds from the pubic or where the devs control the supply. I only invest in POW tokens where there is no pre-mine and the devs don't control the supply (like RVN and 0xMR). This protects me from exit scams, rugpulls, and dumps.
1693  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If all state banks will make their own cryptocurrency. on: December 15, 2020, 07:04:52 AM
Just think If all the countries will make their own cryptocurrencies. Mean if the central banks or the state banks of the countries make their own cryptocurrencies so what will be the situation in cryptocurrencies world.

In my view.
1. If all the countries will make their own cryptocurrencies so it will start a new war between the countries. Like you can see the China USA tension or Iran USA etc.
2. The countries will prefer only their own cryptocurrency and the other will not be involved.

It is according to my mind.
If the members have the other opinions so share.
And If I am wrong so please guide me.

CBDCs will be just like stablecoins, just issued by the largest private banks for each country. They will be able to monitor and tax your transactions directly and you will bank with your central bank mobile wallet.
1694  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IDEX (AURA) token staking on: December 14, 2020, 05:16:26 AM
Frankly IDEX is a centralized exchange pretending to be a decentralized exchange. They geoblock users and only list certain tokens that I can only assume their leadership are already invested in. I heard they have KYC too. I don't know why anyone would put up with that when Uniswap lists all tokens for free, has no kyc, no geoblocking, no extra fees, they gave the community tokens instead of charging for them like IDEX, higher volume than IDEX. Gatekeeping exchanges like Loopring and IDEX are history, the future is decentralized and open.
1695  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Active Crypto Scams? on: December 12, 2020, 06:46:56 AM
The DOW is going to track the top cryptos in 2021. Hopefully they will vet these projects to exclude scams and use metrics other than marketcap to value them. https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/sp-dow-jones-indices-to-launch-crypto-indexes-in-2021-2020-12-03

You will still be able to invest in cryptos outside the list but you have a higher risk/reward ratio and there may be scams.
1696  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy and anonymity has no worth - ZEC - ZEN - DASH the crypto is dead now! on: December 12, 2020, 06:43:32 AM
Privacy and anonymity has no worth - ZEC - ZEN - DASH the crypto is dead now!

Every crypto hits it ath, ZEC - ZEN and DASH are the cryptos which never hitting to its ATH. At the launch of ZEC network, 1 ZEC had more than a BTC and now it is completely dead even in 2017s bull run, ZEC could only reached to 0.10 BTC. Hence this proves that privacy and anonymity has no worth in cryptocurrency.

Wow, so many misconceptions here, where to start?

DASH arguably is not private so I will cross off your example.

ZEC was a testbed for zk-SNARKs.

The future of privacy is on Ethereum. Banks and institutions are beginning to use crypto and are legally obligated to protect the identity of their customers and their data and will use zk-SNARKs to do so. The next big wave after DeFi is privacy on Ethereum and that's why I've invested in 0xMR, PRV, Secret...

Finally, it sounds like you believe a project is only valuable if it has a high price or if it's token price is doing well. A project is valuable if it provides utility and if it provides utility that is valuable to the world, it will increase in value at some point in the future. We are early investors in this technology and the markets are unregulated. Litecoin for example does not provide more utility than Hedera Hashgraph and is valued inappropriately. Invest in utility and business usecase if you want to make it.
1697  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The success of the project depends on the project developer himself! on: December 12, 2020, 06:01:24 AM
The ICO craze has enabled a lot of these developers to just march out on their own and start coding, make a website, answer telegram questions etc etc, all the while thinking that they are doing something truly unique. They forget that at the end it is a business and they need a product. A product needs marketing, advertisement and all that shit. Yet, the problem with most of these so-called undervalued, good devs is that they all think they are on to something unique. It is impossible for everyone to be a Satoshi or a Bill Gates and make a business from scratch simply on the basis of the novelty and brilliance of their ideas. The echo chambers of their telegram/ Reddit groups makes it all the more easier to fall for this narrative.

They all could do much better only if they used some business sense and actually invested in marketing their product, meeting potential clients and just run an actual business.

It takes more than good technology to start a cryptocurrency project, you also need a good community, good leadership, a use case that can produce profit, and good tokenomics. Most projects don't make it because they failed at one of the for-mentioned points, or were just a money grab from the start. That's why I invest in POW projects with no dev wallet and no ICO/IEO/Liquidity Event etc., like 0xMR and RVN. Projects that don't raise money and don't control user funds:

A. Cannot dump tokens on investors
B. Cannot exit scam with your funds
C. Have to build something of value to earn income

1699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many old coins are dead and abandoned by the developer, WHY? on: December 11, 2020, 03:50:24 PM
this is just my opinion....that most old coins are not worth for the long term as they depreciate in price over time. Only Bitcoin and Ethereum are the exception, since they're still one of the most popular coins in the mainstream world. It's best to "hodl" these coins alongside new ones with active development and innovation, in order to prevent many undesired losses in the future.

Right now, there are many old coins that are still alive. But they're often "under the radar" as people are mostly focused on profits rather than utility. There are many good coins like Namecoin and Primecoin, each with their unique features in the crypto/Blockchain space. AFAIK, there are no other coins like Primecoin with an innovative PoW consensus algorithm based on prime numbers. It helps our society with the discovery of prime numbers, putting PoW's "energy consumption" to good use. Sometimes I wish a new dev team or the community would take over the development of Primecoin, in order to further improve its consensus algorithm. Being one-of-a-kind coin, I consider it to be a hidden gem. Namecoin, on the other hand, is a good old coin with a decentralized domain name system. It was the first cryptocurrency to ever make use of a decentralized DNS. Ethereum may have taken the lead in decentralized domain names, but Namecoin is still an alternative worth considering.

No matter which old coins you choose to "hodl" for the long term, it's important to never put all your life savings on them. The risks with old coins are much higher than shiny, new ones on the market. You could end up "holding the bag" someday if your old coin of choice becomes abandoned in development. This in effect, leads to exchanges de-listing the coin, putting trading activity all the way down the drain. You can still use the Blockchain if there is at least 1 node and miner on the network, though. I'm still "hodling" Spreadcoin, despite not having any exchanges available. The Blockchain is still alive and running, which makes the cryptocurrency useful. Let's hope that abandoned coins like Spreadcoin experience revived interest from a new dev team sometime in the future.

It takes more than good technology, you also need a good community, good leadership, a use case that can produce profit, and good tokenomics. If a project has failed it's likely because of at least one of those points. Also, most older projects have already had their pump. If you want to get rich in crypto, you need to invest in projects with potential that haven't pumped yet, like 0xMR and UNCX.
1700  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: want to mine some xmr whats the correct/legit site for this on: December 08, 2020, 09:43:50 AM
When I found out that one pool controls over 50% of the Monero hashrate, that most of that hashrate comes from cryptojacker malware and bots, and that the best mining software is closed source and likely contains a virus, I stopped mining Monero and moved my rig to 0xMonero.
