1281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the crypto hype over? on: August 07, 2021, 04:49:03 PM
For some reason, Elon Musk stopped tweeting about DOGE and even Bitcoin, making people lose interest in crypto these days. Add to this the China miner ban, and regulatory action against Binance exchange and you'll see why the market hasn't gone up that much within the last 2 months (approximately). Bitcoin is still struggling to reach a new ATH, while ETH doesn't get past $3k per coin.

Sometimes I wonder if the crypto hype is over. "De-Fi" and NFTs are still a big hit, but interest/demand seems to be slowly declining. I'm guessing the next Bitcoin halving will "revive" the hype. But there's no guarantee this will happen since crypto behaves in many strange and bizarre ways.

Do you think the crypto hype is over? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
Did you see the charts? NEAR pumped 12% and some cryptos even pumped 45%, it's like 2017 all over again. The hype is not over.
1282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum pump on: August 07, 2021, 04:48:04 PM
the entire market is gaining momentum in the last few days back and ethereum have been on the lead in the alt-coin market, many analyse have predicted a $3k ethereum price before the end of the week but just this morning the price of ethereum passed the $3k price which have forced many price analyse just like myself to have a rethink about the new all-time high and have adjusted my prediction of the next stop price to $4k ethereum price before the end of the week.

considering the high and lows in the cryptocurrency market, what are your next ethereum price predictions.
Ethereum looks like it will surpass its previous high at 4700usd. I'm loading up on more Ethereum and hedging my bets with some NEAR and Celo.
1283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is your opinion on Monero? on: August 07, 2021, 04:47:11 PM
Monero can be tracked, I use 0xMonero. They are releasing a casino next week called mixercasino dot com. It includes coin mixing and a token bridge.
1284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Aave on: August 07, 2021, 04:46:15 PM
Just wondering what people think , I am ready to buy some more crypto
I have some btc , eth, waves , cosmos , enjin, graph , secret , band , icx , tezos , theta
Also thinking about solana
Anyone know if zil will have another option to swap er20 token , they promised 2nd quarter , purchased while ago and left it in cold storage ...never swapped
I would buy NEAR before I bought any of the other cryptos you mentioned. The second best would be ETH.
1285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hoping to see a bitcointalk token sooner on: August 06, 2021, 06:38:16 AM
This is the birthplace of crypto and many people learnt alot from here. is it not fair for this platform to get a token that can be traded in the market. other content management platform has then own crypto that are been traded and use as a means of rewards to their users.
please don't say bitcoin. currently, not everyone can afford bitcoin now. we need an altcoin as an alternative token here for payment of service.
This is Bitcoin talk, BTC is the official coin, unless you want to create an Ethereumtalk.
1286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum 2.0 what to expect on: August 06, 2021, 06:37:26 AM
As developers keep improving the ethereum blockchain, even though previous ethereum hard forks failed to solve the problem of high fees in the ethereum blockchain.

But with the new London fork proposal 1559 which will offer a new fee system that burned all transactions fees instead of miners determining the fees, this will remove more ethereum from circulation causing demand to rise because of scarcity which will ultimately lead to an increase in price and fewer transactions on the ethereum network.

What are your expectations from this and how it will affect the overall ethereum ecosystem?
1559 is not Ethereum 2.0. Ethereum 2.0 is POS on a beacon chain. Regardless, Aurora on NEAR protocol scales Ethereum now with sharding.
1287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would you rather buy for the long term right now...BTC or ETH? on: August 06, 2021, 06:35:57 AM
Simple question. Between BTC and ETH what would you want to load up on right now if you could only choose one?

Personally I'd go with ETH, but that's because I already have a lot more Bitcoin than ETH.
Ethereum but if I had to buy and hold any crypto forever it would be NEAR.
1288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoin staking on: August 06, 2021, 06:35:11 AM
Imagine holding USDT for 8% apy when NEAR or Ethereum go up 3x in a year. You are going to get left behind.
1289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest on alts suggestion on: August 06, 2021, 06:33:21 AM
You should be investing in promising cryptos like NEAR and Celo, not stablecoins and you shouldn't wait until 2024 to buy in, by then it will be too late. Get in early now.
1290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PolkaDot - Next Ethereum on: August 05, 2021, 04:54:02 AM
Octopus on NEAR is a better technical solution than Polkadot.
1291  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which blockchain should a novice developer choose? on: August 05, 2021, 04:53:22 AM
There is a great idea for implementation in the cryptosphere, but I am a beginner developer and I do not have enough funds to afford the creation of a token on ETH. (unjustifiably large commissions with a high price of the Ethereum itself)
Is there some kind of cross-blockchain to implement my ideas with very low fees?  Huh
You should build on NEAR protocol. There are actually courses that will pay you 500usd to learn. https://learnnear.club/?mref=jeremyp.near%40learnnear.club
1292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NAOS Finance and Chainlink to Develop Oracle Solutions on: August 05, 2021, 04:52:34 AM
It's legit
1293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wise to invest in nft art work? on: August 05, 2021, 04:51:08 AM
NFTs on Ethereum are overpriced, try buying on platforms other than opensea on different chains, like NEAR and Mintbase. You can find a lot of cool art there cheap and there is a bridge to Ethereum for NFTs if you want to sell them there later for some reason.
1294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi hacks [history] on: August 05, 2021, 04:49:24 AM
So far there have been no hacks or exit scams on NEAR protocol, it's a trustworthy community.
1295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best token for staking right now? on: August 04, 2021, 01:17:04 PM
Stake popular coins instead, the likes of BnB and ETH can't ever go wrong I believe but others are unreliable, another good project is polka just make sure you choose wisely and stay away from new projects that have uncertain future
NEAR protocol has great staking APY, 11%+.
1296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to understand that you are making a mistake? on: August 04, 2021, 07:05:53 AM
Have you ever had a situation when you realized that you were making a mistake, but you just keep on doing it. For example, buying some kind of hype shit coin about which you are absolutely sure that in the end it will become garbage, but in the short term there are chances to get a good profit, but in the end everything turns out the other way around.

Share your stories.
Most meme coins end up in the dumpster but you keep investing because if you do make it you can 1000x overnight. Perhaps balance your risk by buying $NEAR then selling the staking rewards for meme coins.
1297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Passive income on: August 04, 2021, 07:04:38 AM
BSC is great for DeFi and $CAKE is a sweet project but I also stake $NEAR because I think in the long run it will appreciate in value higher than cake.
1298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much of your total capital is in crypto? on: August 04, 2021, 07:03:26 AM
Have you ever calculated how much of your total capital is in cryptocurrency?

In my case, i have 60% of my money in bank accounts, 20% in stock market, 5% in cash and only 15% in crypto.

Most of my money is in NEAR protocol. I'm staking it for over 10% APY and treat it like a high yield savings account. I am planning on living off the staking rewards in Laos.
1299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano (ADA), The Public Chain for Smart Contract will be Launched Soon on: August 04, 2021, 07:02:18 AM
"Cardano (ADA), The Public Chain for Smart Contract will be Launched Soon"

Cardano should have rebranding and should change name to Soondano. I'm in crypto space since 2017 and since 2017 cardano is soon to launch something XD And after 4 years still no one use cardano because there is no working product.

I even created a topic in which I state that cardano will never launch final product because: "Crypto - place where promise is worth more than product"

Even if they will launch their product it will end up with 90% dump ... when overpumped expectation will meet final product. Just like CDR (CD project) stock price after Cyberpunk 2077 launch and dump from 450 to 150.

For real, Cardano dangles the hook of SOON whenever there is a dip in prices. I'll believe they are releasing smart contracts when I see it, until then I am buying Celo and NEAR.
1300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will NFT bring any change in crypto gambling industry? on: August 04, 2021, 07:01:10 AM
As many of you might be aware of NFTs as it is getting a lot of attention from the crypto community. People are selling digital goods, artworks, gamea and unique things for millions of dollars. Even Elon's Partner has joined the bandwagon and already earned few millions. As of now, NFTs are only popular in digital marketplaces to mark the ownership of an asset through blockchain.

Now from where I see, NFT has a very good potential to be used in MMORPG games and fantasy sports segment. Even big developers like UBISoft has shown interest in NFT. Since NFT concept is very new we still have many unexplored areas of application.

Do you think NFT concept will be used in crypto gambling industry in near future? What change it will bring into this industry? Let's discuss!

You received a lot of answers that do not address gambling so I will. NFTs in gambling could be used as rewards for playing that could be used to increase your odds or allow you to access high roller tables etc. like being a VIP at a casino in Vegas. Custom playing cards could be collected as NFTs. NFTs could be gifted to players when they withdraw from a casino like mixercasino dot com, which will use 0xMR token.
