1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ICC WORLD CUP 2023 ACTUAL DISCUSSION THREAD! on: October 01, 2023, 01:01:04 PM
Pakistan VS Newzealand

Like i mentioned during the Asia cup. Middle overs, lack of quality spinners and over dependence on seam bowling could be the downfall of this team.

They only rely on seamers to take plenty of wickets in the first 10 overs with the new ball, after that, everything depends on kudrat ka karisma.

Batting - Good
New ball- death bowling - Simply amazing
Spin- Mediocre at best
Fielding- It's improved a lot but they still manage to fumble when it matters most.

There is another big problem with the Pakistani team, if they do not get any wickets in the first 10 overs then their bowlers tend to get confused. The first two bowling halves of their seamers are important for the team to make a difference with their bowling attack. The next issue is with the opening pairs, they seem to lack the skills to play an ODI. If Babar or Rizwan do not perform then those coming after them would lose their wickets under pressure.

Pakistani bowling is really confusing. Either they work and makes the team win or don't work and feels like an associate team bowling. Spin has been historically a less proritized genre in Pakistani cricket and they still lack them.
Pakistan certainly have one of the balanced team with excellent individual players. I had a high hope over the Pakistani team after years prior to the Asian cup but their loss with India and Sri Lanka showed they lack the consistency.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the size and frequency of online casino winnings depend on the time of year? on: September 30, 2023, 04:36:26 PM
Do you think that there is a dependence of online casino winnings on the time of year? For example, for 9 years of playing, I received almost all the biggest winnings from November to May. In other periods, the game develops much worse  Undecided.

What time of the year do you win more often?

Gambling depends on odds and odds watch no calendar.
Though there are times when more people are active gambling and there are times when online casinos bring in more offers and rebates.
Similar to how most of the sites gets more traffic on Saturday and Sunday.
November to May coincides major festival season and the overall experience could be more positive on a users perceptive when they are getting more chances for same money. But that again is my deduction and may not be entirely true.
I don't have similar experiences as I am an occasional gambler and don't gamble year round. But I'm attracted towards special offers during the festive season and anniversary of the respective casinos where I get better deals on my deposit.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you seen gambling advertisements on TV? Opinion. on: September 29, 2023, 12:34:16 PM
While watching TV with my kid, I've watched various advertisements of gambling nature (let's say for example, Rummy123, RummyCircle, A23 Rummy, etc.)
These are all specifically Indian ads, but I'm sure you may have seen various gambling advertisements, some banners at boundaries when cricket is ongoing, even in any other sport. How would a kid ignore those things, they might just come and ask you about what is it. Till when can we lie to them? Don't you think that the frequency of such ads must be less in order to let the kids not get trapped into gambling and don't do it at such a small age?

Gambling advertising might be affected by the changing rules over time. And now they are illegal to be broadcasted in many countries.
Not sure about the case of India but gambling ads on TVs are restricted in the part of world I live. It might be in order to prevent children from getting curious over the ads. But again that doesn't stop for them from advertising. They do so using the shadow advertisement where they use a same named or similarly named product or service that is not related to gambling but most people would obviously relate the ads to the gambling platform.
The real life casinos here also organize live performance shows that are broadcasted over TV.
4  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino vs. Broker: Who's Really Playing You in the Money Game on: September 28, 2023, 02:09:36 PM
You know how casinos lay it all out, they're taking a gamble just like us? But get this, brokers might just be outdoing them in their own sly way. I’m saying brokers might actually be worse. Why? They’ve got this neat, little setup where they rake in their shares through bid-offer spreads and commissions, all while carrying zero market risk. It’s like having their cake and eating it too, but in secret. We’re all out here rolling the dice, while brokers are the house, cashing in risk-free. What’s your take? Are brokers just silently stacking the deck, snagging a surefire win with every trade we make?

Every good gamblers know its more profitable to avoid a broker as much as possible. The more the brokers involved lesser is the actual odds you get.
But sometimes in some cases, it's impossible to boycott the broker. You may not realize it but a large number of online gambling sites are entirely a broker who hosts every bets on other sites. Similarly most slots offered in all popular and otherwise site are from the same provider just being hosted on for commission.
IRL, a broker might add services that may enable gamblers with perks like anonymity, hassle free gambling, easier access and assistance settling disputes.

6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: September 27, 2023, 01:02:16 PM
Nepal vs Magnolia

What great performance by the Nepal team. Means really 315 runs target in 20 overs. What a great performance. Really appreciate the batting of Kushal Malla. He made 137 runs on 50 balls with remain not out. This was a huge target for Mangolia team.
After that Nepal bowled well and they collected all wickets of Mangolia team on 41 runs and 13 overs. Great performance Nepal team. Smiley
In this match Nepal set a remarkable record by scoring 314 score in loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs. Kushal Malla made an astonishing 137 Not aout off 50 balls, while Dipendra Singh Airee contributed 52 unbeaten off just 10 balls.Mongolia team all out in just 41 runs in 13.1 overs and Nepal won this match by 273 runs. This match witnessed a historic moment as Dipendra Singh Airee scored the fastest half century in T20 with just 9 deliveries, breaking the record of Yuvraj Singh. Nepal batsmen Kushal Malla achieved the fastest century in International cricket in just 34 balls. Nepal total of 314 runs in 20 overs became the highest target ever set in T20 International cricket.

@Cheema02 Nepal proved one thing yesterday that nothing is impossible in T20 cricket and with their performance they have unlocked an historic feat that even established team’s have yet failed to achieve. Lastly I sincerely hope that they’ll continue to perform well now because after this performance expectations will be raised and hopefully they can thrive under pressure.

Nepal surely played a great game. They are a rising team and would be center of interest in the future of cricket. They deserve to hold those records but still the thing about this particular game is ICC should not having given these particular matches the status of T20I. Imagine what could have happened if Mongolia played a A level team like Pakistan and India on the qualifiers. Mongolia is a new team and doesn't hold a T20I status. They should have waited till quarter finals to give the T20I status as a number of novice teams would have been eliminated out till that.
Anyway, it was a good exposure to Nepal and hope they keep on doing the amazing performance in Quarterfinals.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: September 26, 2023, 02:08:48 PM
In my opinion making cash from gambling is not a good option and the statistical probability that you will win every game at every casino is very low. I think winning or losing every game is completely in your head, so your individual tricks are not there. However, we all have some kind of luck so we should strive for what is possible for us.
Depends on what type of gambling we are talking about.
Games like dice, slots, roulette and crash are entirely luck. The gambler could bring on strategies on how much and in what manner to bet but have zero involvement on the result.
Other form of gambling like sports betting can be analyzed for favourable bets through head to head analysis and current circumstances but the lower the risks, lower are the odds. The gambler can analyze and make better prediction yet they personally have zero involvement on the results.
Another form of gambling like P2P games like poker that involves strategy and decision-making abilities can greatly affect the chances of winning for the player who have better strategy.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has your Responsible Gambling had any of these Effects on You? on: September 24, 2023, 09:42:51 AM
This is not a case of being addicted to gambling. There are people who are actually in control of their gambling habits or addiction. For instance, they do not gamble beyond their budget; they commit an hour or two to gambling per week or twice per week and strictly adhere to it, among all other things. We have heard and read stories here and out there about how gambling ruins lives, careers, relationships, throws people into debt and more. But my question is, could this be happening to everybody? Has your responsible gambling habit had any positive effects on your relationships with your spouse, kids, parents, and others? Has it improved your finances and helped you stay out of debt? Has it improved your mental health and well being in anyway? Has it been able to help you meet an urgent need? Let's discuss.

Firstly, I'd like to tell anyone reading this, all gambling has is negative impact on your life. And no one could be in 100% in control of their emotions 100% of times. So, you are going to ruin it one day.
Beside ruining my savings, I can tell that my gambling disaster has helped me be more cautious about dividing my budget, use of my savings and diversifying my investment. I admit that I personally am not fully able to control my gambling habits so some portion of my earnings/savings now are directed towards crypto investment, FDs, Stocks and SIPs. If it were not for my gambling habits, I could have just saved them on my saving accounts. And with my plan of disaster control, I have more investment than my normal savings.
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Warning] Don't share your casino account! on: September 23, 2023, 01:46:58 PM
Anyone who provides money for using any others account, they have some Mal intentions involved. The least problematic might just be avoiding the ban on their jurisdiction, And the most severe one being turning the dirty coins clean.
Money laundering, hacked coins, scams, investment in terrorism are tracked by law enforcement agencies by transactions involved and it's difficult for the culprit to cash out such coins. For that reason they need to mix the coins to turn it safe for cashing out. They use others betting account to deposit the dirty coins so that when a investigation occurs the law enforcement would arrest the wrong person. The arrested person could be you if you are sharing your account.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting significant amount on: September 21, 2023, 02:46:57 PM
I'm always betting significant amount when I'm in the losing streak, Let's say only 30% left from my original bankroll after playing 1hr to 4hrs of non-stop Blackjack.

I always bet all-in which is my remaining bankroll that is significant amount for me on a 25% win chance rate bet on dice game. My heart palpitates during this bet and I really love the intense feeling. Most of the time I lose on this but it's really worth it if I win since I recover my original bankroll plus sweet profit of 20% of my bankroll.

I'm always doing this whenever I'm down after long gambling session just to finish with a big bang of surprise. When I lose at least I experience the thrill same with win since I have profit.

Are you doing this intense gambling experience by betting significant amount of your bankroll? This is insane but worth it if you are a thrill seeker for entertainment.

I think everyone would have the same tendencies. As we become more desperate about our loss, we tend to be willing to take more risks and without our regular or any strategies. For example, going all in on any cards you held in poker. And we are so much desperate about getting everything back that we don't even stop when we get back 90% of our loss. By doing so, we significantly decrease our odds. The sense of thrilling would be a good one if you are able to retain our loss and probably win more but it would feel a useless effort when we lose it all.
By the amount we lose in a few moment, we could have played with that amount for days. I have done such reckless bets a few times and I regret it.
11  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: September 20, 2023, 04:53:33 PM
Hey gamblers' community, hope you're all doing great.
I wanted to convey my message here that gambling in front of our kids may put adverse effects on their growing minds and they may also take the wrong path and start gambling (either by asking you personally for funds or by stealing it in order to fulfill their gambling cravings).

I'm sharing this because I saw this issue with my kiddo who was once watching me gamble at a website playing blackjack and she started asking me more about the game. Then one day, she wanted to play it herself and asked me if she can go for it and I said "no, it's not your legal age to go for such games". So, it's better to keep our kiddos away from gambling and let them focus on their studies, else it'd actually ruin everything for the whole family if the kid takes the wrong path.

There's a multiple of things you shouldn't do Infront of children and gambling is one of them. Not only would they be curious about the things we are doing but also learn from our behaviour and expression while we are indulged in it. And most people are not behaving their best when they gamble.
Kids would come to know of things like gambling one day but just like sexual relation we should neither glorify it or tell them it's something very bad.
If you aren't gambling at your place or online Infront of your kids. Fairs are probably the first place kids comes close to gambling. And they would surely want to have a try at the wheel or the hoops, what they should be taught is managing their funds. And stopping when you have lost.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Share Your Experience About Casinos You Found Here on: September 19, 2023, 10:25:08 AM
I personally am reluctant to try new casinos without a reason. Generous deposit bonus is something that may attract me if the casino is flashy enough.
For sports betting site, it's easier to switch if you get better odds but odds of popular gambling are generally same and slightly better on larger and older casinos. Newer casinos are more likely to get problematic than older ones. Of all the games, I'm a fan of dice and crash. I do slots only when I get free rolls. So, my favorite still are primedice, bustabit and likes. There were some bad experience of myself in some casinos but all of them are now dysfunctional. And a couple of disaster due to missing my 2FA code, some casinos don't reset them.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket Asia Cup 2023! Which team will WIN? on: September 17, 2023, 01:50:34 PM
Sri Lanka lost their 8th wicket as Dunith Wellalage departs for 8 runs. now current score of Sirlanka is 40 runs in a loss of 8 wickets. Hardik Pandya gets in on the action with his first wicket of the match. Muhammad Siraj picked up 6 wickets. Muhammad Siraj is underrated as a bowler. Bowls at a good length and gets enough movement picked early to get wickets. I think it is a great start for India and a 99% chance that India will win this Final Of the Asia Cup. It is very difficult for Sirlanka to score 100 runs at this stage.

This is one of the most bizarre final of cricket history. SL have given a target of 51 runs to India. Siraj heroic spell was the reason India is very close of becoming new Asian Champions. Mendis was highest SL run scorer with 17 runs. 9 SL players were not able to make it to double figures today.

This final match certainly created so many new records. Most of them unfortunate to the Sirlankan team. The defeat of Pakistan on the hand of Sirlanka is an example of how luck could play you out of the tournaments and the overall performance of Indian team proves they are still the number one cricketing team whatever the ranking may indicate. There's not much of competition left for them. With what India has now, they can create four teams from their player and all 4 could reach in the semis of a world cup.

A what. Is it even real or a dream? Sri Lanka in the finals 6 wickets down in 12 runs.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some of country can offer you legal gambling in 2023! on: September 16, 2023, 03:47:06 AM
Gambling has been a human nature from it's origin and there's nothing unethical in it. Some countries do ban gambling as they believe it would lead to personal loss for people who can't control their gambling habits. There are larger number of countries that have legal gambling industry in one form or other. And there are other unofficial and traditional ways of gambling in every country.
Take an example of china, casino gambling is banned in mainland china while there are state run and other lotteries and raffles where people could participate. Rich people can goes to Macau special administrative area of China to gamble. While less rich ones crosses the border to Vietnam, Thailand or Myanmar.
Similar is the case with India, though casino gambling is illegal, there are all sorts of gambling and mini casinos in fairs and events. And people just go over to Nepal to experience a Casino experience. There's no stopping people from gambling.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Appropriate percentage of income for gambling on: September 14, 2023, 12:15:34 PM
I use 5% of my weekly income to gamble and I can not go more than that. Sometimes I can be busy and I can spend less. If a week favours me, I will save my profit and the remaining (5% last week income) for next week gambling. According to what I heard, people spend up to 12% of their weekly income on gamble. I think it is not bad but that gives me the thinking to make a post like this on this forum. What percentage of weekly income do you think is right for gambling?

This is a good strategy for every gamblers to adopt. This might not come as straightforward in percentage but there should be a set limit to keep you healthy economically and mentally. For me, I designate a few income sources as my gambling bankroll. 100% of it goes to my gambling bankroll but I don't use 100% of it. It's my ultimate limit that I haven't hit yet. In past I had bad experiences of losing all my salary on gambling so I have restricted the use of my day jobs salary on gambling. Keeping them on different bank accounts would help if you can't control yourself.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: September 13, 2023, 03:27:51 PM
i play slots hoping to win 'big win' or 'jackpot' but many times it don't hits and my balance get drained after betting many times in one slot machine. i play more bets hoping it already took my so much balance it will definitely going to hit this times, but it never happens, and my balance becomes "0".

Many players place such bets mainly in the hope of winning a huge jackpot, but their dreams are unfortunately dashed. I have bet a few times but have yet to win any big bets, I think it's just not my luck that's why I always lose my balances. One thing I believe is that gambling is mainly based on the luck of a player whose luck is the only one who can win such jackpots, I have seen many. Before that, I deposit some amount of money in a casino platform and play craps there, mainly with the aim of winning big craps. But after I win a few bets with small money and then when I bet all the money later my balance is zero. So I think winning a big jackpot is not possible for everyone, only those who are lucky enough to win the bet successfully.

A lot of people are familiar with slots through the slot machines and they provide both a nostalgic and modern experience when they play slots online.
The rules for slots are straight forward and people don't bother to know or read about it as they'd find it out as they play.
There's not much strategy as it's pure luck. Another thing why people love slots is even when they lose, most of the time they get a portion of their bet back.
Most of the spins you win something back be it less than the original bet, a bit more or a huge jackpot.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Utopia P2P Ecosystem 💎 Poker Client - Review Campaign 🔎 with higher rewards! on: September 12, 2023, 04:31:05 PM
Here's my review about the Poker client.

1. The graphics and design are familiar for poker players and it's exactly how most of us love.
2. It would be better if there had been an option to increase the height of the prompt/chat screen like to a full height. Making it somewhat transparent might also add up to the beauty. Could pull the board to the right corner if needed as there is empty space on right.
3. 1 minute per turn would be frustrating where there are multiple players on the table. Texas holdem is the most popular but a few other options can be added to provide a change for players.
4. Number of users is the largest problem on the client. There are fewer people online and almost none at the moment interested in playing poker. Some free entry tables could be introduced where people play with free tokens and the winner gets a small amount of CRP for winning. This way interest could be generated to the poker tables as well to the client.
5. And there was some non-specific random error box (Error 1003) appearing occasionally while playing as specified by other users in other thread.  It did not in anyway interfered or changed the gameplay but it was there and it was annoying at times.

It was fun playing poker with people here. I was with the utopia username taz. I didn't saved the history as I was playing so copying ones involving me as presented by other users.

I want to ask those of you who have a hard addiction experience in gambling and then you can treat it yourself, and today still playing gambling but with the principle of good management and financial management in gambling.
I want to know how you break away from the addiction, you can mention the actions taken or what kind of steps? And how long do you need time to break away from the addiction that has been experienced?

"I want to find out because I think your experience in the case as I mentioned will be useful for readers, especially for me personally"

Yes. That exactly describes my situation. I once in my lifetime lost all my savings on gambling. 5 digit sum in usd. Had panic attacks and suicidal thoughts. I didn't seek medical advice but was consulted by friends and family. I can't say I'm totally in control of my gambling but till date after the incident, I have remained calm and not lost more than I was thinking of as my betting budget. There were times I lost quicker than I thought, or some spare coins I was thinking of doing something else. But not even in 3 digits sum.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: September 12, 2023, 01:38:23 AM
Tough to believe that India destroyed Pakistan by 200+ runs. Remaining 2 Pakistan batsmen were absent hurt, but they probably would have scored in single digits just like the players before them.

India are the clear favorites to win the Asia Cup now. Bumrah-Kuldeep combo is epic while Rahul continues rocking in the ODI format.
This defeat might turn into a blessing in disguise for Pakistan if they manage to sort things out with their spin department and not rely on pace battery all the time.

Indians have to play another match within the next 12 hours so hope their bodies are recovering well, fair amount of test players in the current ODI setup so one would hope that it's alright.

It's humiliating. The pitch condition were not the optimal but it's a humiliating defeat of the world number 1 ranked team in overall batting and bowling. Nothing worked for them, their bowlers were punished by the Indian batsmen while they were unable to defend against Indian bowlers. It's a new record for highest run defeat humiliation for the Pakistani team on the hands of Indian.
Even if they meet in the finals again, I don't think the Pakistani team would have much improvement. The two teams are in completely different league at the moment. Pakistan would need quite a time to recover and bring the team together.
