1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins that you trust most on: Today at 04:39:39 PM
Trust in the sense of trusting for potential to make me rich in mid-term, there are some coins I hold that I believe would at least double within next year.
The largest hold I have at the moment is Toncoin. I'm already in profit as I bought it below $6 and is now trading at above $7 but I plan it to hold it a bit longer at least to double my investment. I believe, it would do that soon in short term.
The second largest holding for me is BOME, already in green but at least hoping to make x2 in short term. It has a good accumulation and a strong support created.
The third position goes to Solana, this one is a mid-term plan and I wish to make at least x3 from it before selling any.
Fourth one is MEW, this is a memecoin that haven't got the full attention yet is already a success. I believe it would x2 within few months.
My 5th largest holding is LTC but I'm not too much bullish on it, aiming it to sell a bit higher to buy some other coins. Bonk is my 6th.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: Today at 04:05:49 PM
I have a bad feeling regarding Arsenal winning Man Utd today because the match is not going through way people expected it to go. Arsenal seems to have been overpowered by Man Utd against people's prediction that Arsenal will easily win the match. Man Utd have hand more attempts on goal and more possession, even though it is too early to say. Arsenal have to improve in their play else this match will spoil their chances of winning the league should Man City gets a loss or draw which is not likely to happen but is possible.

There's no reason to believe ManU have any chances of drawing or winning against Arsenal. Arsenal had been on form the whole season. They did lost against Bayern Munich in champions league but Munich was a strong team. Arsenal have 4 wins in their last 5 matches in premier league while ManU have won 1 out of last 5, that too against relegation team Sheffield United. Arsenal are already 1-0 up and with this win, they'll drag the title race till the last matches of the league. Man City vs Tottenham could be a more competitive one than this one.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL Cricket on: Today at 03:57:55 PM
Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals

Today, the 61st match of the Indian Premier League will be between Rajasthan and Chennai. Today is a very important match especially for Chennai because if Chennai lose it will be difficult for them to secure playoffs. Chennai must win today's match if they want to ensure playoffs.

However, Rajasthan has performed well in this tournament but could not perform well in the last 2 matches. Defeated last 2 matches against Hyderabad and Delhi. Today is the first match between Rajasthan and Chennai in this tournament. So there can be a competitive match between these two teams. But I will put Rajasthan team ahead. I think Rajasthan can win today's match.
Although Chennai super king register an important victory but still they are in danger zone because if Dehli won thier ongoing match against RCB then they will match Chennai with points and number of matches played and won but will be just behind by net run rate but may be possibly they get a huge margin victory which will fix thier negative net run rate issue too so Chennai should pray for RCB to won thier match or just lose against Dehli with low margin so just they will hold thier standing position. Anyway Rajasthan lose thier third consecutive match of the tournament after long winning streak which will definitely effect them and may be possibly they lost Thier momentum and knocked out as soon as possible in semifinals so things are becoming more spicy and unprecedented hope so we will have deserving winner at the end of the tournament

With the loss of RR against CSK, the most benefit of it is felt by KKR, who are on track of getting that final place match without playing elimination playoffs. KKR are still to play one match with RR and even though they lose, they can have the spot with a better Net run rate than RR.
RR on the other hand is still safe for qualifying to play off, they are still 2 points ahead of other teams and have 1 match less played than CSK.
The final spot for playoff would be more contested one as CSK, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Lucknow Supergiants and Delhi Capitals are fighting for it.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: May 10, 2024, 01:52:00 PM
That was an exciting match with complete swing of fate in the last minute. Leverkusen were down 0-2 against Roma from 66th minute that took the aggregate to 2-2 till 82nd minute. Both of the Roma's goal were penalty, both awarded by VAR decision, the first one a would and 2nd one hand. On the 82nd minute, the corner kick by Leverkusen hit a Roma defender conceded an own goal. That goal put them on winning it on aggregate but they went on to scoring another goal in last minute of injury time to continue their undefeated season year on every match they played.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: May 09, 2024, 12:01:35 AM
With much swinging excitements, Real Madrid managed to win scoring two goals in last 5 minutes coming out of one goal deficit. The game was intense from start from both teams. Later minutes of 1st half were a bit slow but the 2nd half again was full of actions. Manuel Neuer had some impressive saves in particular and Vinicius Junior was particularly fast for Real Madrid. Even with the twist and turns the game ended as predicted making the home crowd happy. This was the psuedo final for champions league and no team can now stop Real Madrid from raising the trophy once again.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: May 08, 2024, 07:07:35 PM
A pumped up atmosphere in Santiago Bernabeu. Arguably the most important match for European clubs for this year have began.
Real Madrid are of course the favorite here but with 1st leg ending in equals, this 90 minute could favor any team. A corner within the first 30 seconds of game for Real Madrid and for the first few minutes, it's Real Madrid in attack with almost full possesion. This is going to be one of the best matches between these two teams. The winner might be the winner for this season of Champions trophy.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 08, 2024, 06:04:15 PM
Both Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants needed to win this match to keep their challenge standing for the title. LSG won the toss and chose to bat which turned out to be a bad decision. They were struggling to bat against SRH bowlers. Nicholas Pooran and Ayush Badoni did tried to get them a bit defendable target but 166 is a low target in IPL standard. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma did completed the target before 10 overs with no loss of wicket. Travis Head takes the 3rd highest scorer spot again.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beyond Bitcoin: Unpacking the Real-World Use Cases of Blockchain on: May 08, 2024, 03:59:08 PM
It's obvious blockchain isn't just about Bitcoin anymore. Crypto projects are surfacing everywhere, claiming to advance aspects of our lives with promises of security, transparency, and efficiency. These projects want to reshape industries like finance and supply chain management. But have you come across any projects that seem ready to make a real-world impact?

Came across an article on X about a project called Mode. It focuses on DeFi, aiming to give use more control over our money. It is a modular Layer2 network based on OP
Stack, in line with multiple market hot trends, & with speculative expectations. They want to help developers build innovative financial tools while offering higher returns to participants.

The potential of these blockchain projects is great if explored well. Imagine banking without the usual fees, or having a secure way to track the origin of products. The technology is still developing, but do you believe projects like these have what it takes to change how we do things?

Banking and finance is one sector where blockchain can make huge difference in real time. It has all the perks and security to be a better alternative to traditional banking. Such bank do need to enable at least a two level security to make it more secure. There are huge potential of making money if current defis place them as highly secure and trusted platforms. There are other multiple sectors people are trying to implement blockchain but there are not much success as traditional platforms provide more quality experience. Blockchain technology still is a work in progress.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you rather invest in MATIC or SOL currently? on: May 08, 2024, 10:00:30 AM
At current prices - what would be your choice?
Currently it may be better to invest in two coins. Both coins have good prospects in future, if you invest in both coins you can expect good profit in future. I have invested small amount in both these coins. However, MATIC Coin is the favorite when it comes to price. MATIC is currently priced very low, SOL is priced very high. When I bought MATIC the price was $0.90 and now I am in loss. Investing in alt coins is very risky so if you want to invest in alt coins then you have to invest with a lot of risk.

Solana and Matic both are doing great. Solana is currently the leader in L1 networks while Matic is the leader of L2 both by transaction volume and frozen coins.
In long term I guess Solana and other L1 networks would overshadow matic. Being a L2 on a network like Ethereum is both good and bad in several ways but in long run people would prefer speed, cost and flexibility. Matic is still a good hold for the next bull run but I don't recommend holding it long term while Solana could stay here much longer as it's just rising and rising. There ought to be newer competition in future but its ultimate killer is far from sight.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 08, 2024, 08:14:38 AM
I was today following T20I of Mongolia's tour to Japan (Yes it's official T20I recognized by ICC) and found out that in 2nd match Mongolia was all out in 12 runs and Japan won by 205 runs. And thought that could break some records. The first match was equally funny where Mongolia were all out in 33 runs and Japan won by 166 runs.
The funniest thing is they are playing 7 T20I in the series and some day there are two matches in 1 day. The third match had no result where Japan scored 253 and Mongolia were 4/1.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange Lending might be a way to reduce unnecessary Defi fee on: May 08, 2024, 02:05:12 AM
Hey everyone, I'm curious about crypto loans and how they work, but I'm a bit confused. From what I understand, you can use your cryptocurrency as collateral to borrow other types of crypto, and you have to pay interest on the borrowed amount. I've also heard that they require "over-collateralization," which is pledging more crypto than the value of the loan to reduce risks.

I also came across some info saying that crypto loans are different from DeFi lending because they have fixed interest rates, don't require extra crypto addresses, and don't have gas fees. Plus, the borrowing process is supposed to be simpler.

Can anyone explain if I'm on the right track? How do crypto loans actually work, and what should I watch out for? Any tips or personal experiences would be really helpful. Thanks!

You are right. About the over-collateralization, even the traditional banks have always operated in over-collateral, it's always less than 80% of the valuation of whatever collateral you may put. The percentage can be higher or lower depending on the nature of collateral like it's gold or a car. The excess value of collateral is for the depreciation, expenditure in liquidation process and other legal expenses.
In matter of crypto and stocks, it's decrease in price. And as Crypto are much volatile, you need to put a large collateral in order to take loans. Lesser the collateral, more are the chances of liquidation and for something that aims to profit from banking, liquidating is not their top priority as it might make them lose customers. Crypto loans are often taken by active traders that plans to make profit on their idle money.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Neymar being addicted to online poker on: May 08, 2024, 01:11:29 AM
A recently viral video shows football star Neymar playing online poker while celebrating his daughter's birthday with a group of other people present.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-13299361/Neymar-online-poker-daughter-Al-Hilal.html

This to me goes to show that no one is immune from addiction. Neymar may have largeley solved his money problems but still he doesn't seem to be able to control his time spend gambling. Therefore he's seen utilizing his time very recklessly, prioritizing playing the right cards over living these once in a lifetime precious moments the best he can. And if a multimillionaire can get addicted in this way, anyone can. Consider this before spending too much of your precious time gambling. Put some limits and enjoy responsibly!

Addiction of anything is not good. You can gamble or drink but you always need to have full control of your body and your will power strong enough to stop when you need to and start when you want to. Except for some examples like Messi, many of the Latin American football stars have ruined their career earlier or taken retirement earlier due to their addictions. Some even thought they had made enough money to live their life lavishly but when you are not good with money management and are in addiction, the money dries up soon and you'll be on spotlight for all the wrong things like Ronaldinho and Robinho.
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Debt Management. on: May 07, 2024, 11:56:33 PM
This could all be avoided if we just never had debt in the first place

let's face it many people get debts for things they don't really need they just want to buy it but they cant afford it if they were to pay it as of the moment which is something we should really avoid doing

we should already save money, cut on expenses and make budgets before we even get into debts

I too believed that taking a debt is not a good idea and risky. But as I calculated my finance and mortgage, a long term loan to buy rising assets or things that helps you like land or doing business or even buying a car seem to be better option when you are paying it in multiple years. If the interest rate you pay are lower than inflation or your salary rise, you are in better position.
I took some loans for purchasing land and paid it in 7 years, On that period of time, the price of land doubled while my salary rose more than 50%. You should not be afraid of taking loans if you have two income sources in family and one alone is able to payback in worse case scenario.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ton/Telegram Chain is next season on: May 07, 2024, 11:46:06 PM
A ton cryptocurrency has risen almost silently in the top 10. Few people realise it's a giant because the ton blockchain is the same as Telegram.

Telegram has 900m active users every month and the most used app related to cryptocurrencies. Ton tvl mooning hard as well as user numbers but still being in the early days.

Ton chain extremely potential project like Mittens which is Telegram's cat or Redo (first meme). Official Telegram twitter has numerous times tweeted about its own Mittens cat. You know the crypto world. this narrative is too strong as history has shown many times. Near 3 weeks old project.
https://t.me/Mittenston

Best wallets for Ton is Tonkeeper or Telegram @wallet

I'm bullish on TON. Tried buying it yesterday and looked for in my Binance account but TON was not there to be found. Quite surprised why TON is not yet listed on Binance and though when they do, TON is going to have a price boost. Bought it at around 5.9ish using Changelly, not a great price as it decreased after that but I'm going to hold it for mid-term selling it at a profit of 50% in hope it's soon going to be listed on Binance. I've used Ton's ecosystem but it's still too limited. There are limited options on defi and the fees also seems to be very fluctuating rising as high as $1. The theoretical TPS is high, hope they'll improve in it.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: May 07, 2024, 11:36:39 PM
PSG was eliminated by Borussia, what was thought impossible happened.
Congratulations to Borussia Dortmund.
As expected, Dortmund became the Bundesliga representative in the UCL until the final. This is not luck for Borussia Dortmund, but is the result of their hard and smart work in beating PSG. PSG itself really dominates the match, it's like Dortmund. However, Dortmund took advantage of the opportunity as effectively as possible, using a very significant counter attack. And finally, silencing PSG elegantly.
This is what happens when a team is overrated and the other underrated because everyone was thinking that PSG will also be lucky as they were when they met Barcelona but Borussia Dortmund proved them wrong and silenced them and moved to the finals of the champions league, I like what happened in tonight's game so that some people will stop overrating a particular club simply because they have more experienced and quality players than the other. Congratulations to Borussia Dortmund for making it to the finals, they fought so hard for this and their efforts didn't just go in vain.

After the 1st leg's match I was almost sure that Dortmund would make it to the finals. PSG were a better team than Dortmund but they have had a weak performance lately both in the Ligue 1 and Champions league. PSG did pressured Dortmund a lot who were playing defensive. PSG also got unlucky a few times, hitting timber or missing the post by inches while dortmund scored on a corner through header. It was unfortunate for Barcelona to have knocked off by PSG, They would have made a better competition to whoever wins in the next semis. Anyone winning between Real Madrid and Bayren Munich would have better chance of prevailing against Dortmund.
16  Other / Off-topic / Re: what I use to think about husbands growing up as a child!! on: May 07, 2024, 05:38:39 PM

I don't really know if this is also true in other environment. As a little boy, I grew up with the mindset that husband must die before their wife. And this was supported with the fact that there were more widows than widowers. Even if remarried, the number of people whose wife died but remarried is still not comparable to the number of windows who is single or remarried...
 Widows everywhere, widowers few..

Not longer about mindset now, becoming an adult the virtual social cycle of more widows than widowers didn't change!!!

Is life designed like that?
What could be the reason?
Is this true in your country? (kingdom, tribe, kindred etc)

Look at the average Life Expectancy. Wherever you look, women live longer than men. Women on average live 5 years more than men in the world and every nations.

https://www.worldometers.info/demographics/life-expectancy/

The main reasons why female live longer than men is due to their estrogen hormone which prevents bad cholesterol, protecting them from heart disease.
https://www.prb.org/resources/around-the-globe-women-outlive-men/

And there are other behavioral thing like, women don't participate in war like men does, road rage and road accidents are greater with men, men drink and smoke more than women and they accept more physically risky and hazardous jobs .
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what things can do if i hodle for long time crypto on: May 07, 2024, 05:00:18 PM
Telling myself that there will be a bump after every dump so selling for loss doesn't make any sense is the most logical way to think in such a situation.

For HODLers, things are pretty simple, just buy and forget to cause your goal is to hold for for years so there is no point at looking every market move that will make you frustrated and tempted to do wrong things that you didn't want to if you are in clear mind.

Yes. All you need a positive attitude. The prices of crypto has risen and fallen but if you see an yearly moving average, we are on a sharp rise.
If you are buying coins for long term, it's safe to assume that you'll not have a loss unless you sell for lower price than you bought it. i.e. hodl without stress.
To increase your profit, another thing you could do is averaging. If you believe in that particular coin and its price has got much lower than what you bought it for, you can buy some more to lower your average cost price. Another thing people do along long term investing is swing trading. You allocate some amount to be sold where there are price hikes and buy more when there are dips.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: Food shortages coming to the United Kingdom, BUT - on: May 07, 2024, 03:50:35 PM
The part that amazes me the most is to hear that the UK is facing food shortages due to the climate change. Whilst that can affect the productivity and fertility of the soil for maximum production, haven't the government made enough arrangements for the present predicaments. What is the essence of the forecasting that the government is doing ahead of the time.

Let's recall how the story of prophet Joseph (Yusuf), (for the sake of history), have helped a lot of governments plan ahead of situations like this, so that they can bring succor to the people when their faced with the food shortages in a nation. How prophet Yusuf (Joseph) interpreted the dream of the Pharoah of Egypt with solutions, at that period when the Pharoah dreamt about 7 years of abundant harvest and 7 years of food shortages and the prophet provided solutions towards the scarcity by advising the government to store their massive yields of foods against the drought season.

For leading countries like UK, I believe the lack of food which has caused about the recent hike and rise in the commodity market, should be more of a government wrong decision than just the exteme weather influenced by the said climate change.

It's not a big problem, food is readily available in the international market and if UK decided to buy, they can probably get it at the price at which farmers in UK sells those food. i.e. buying won't be any costlier than producing in UK. There might be some compromises on quality but they'll get it.
There's no shortage of food either in international market, there are localized problems in places due to climate change but the overall food production is expected to grow by 1.2% in 2024 which is larger than expected population growth of 0.91%.

Delhi Capitals   vs  Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan Royals won the toss and decided to field today. Rajasthan is in great form this season. The team has lost only 2 matches. However, if they do not win today's match, the Rajasthan Royals team will not be able to retain the top spot in the table.

Although Delhi Capitals could not bat well against Kolkata in the last match, the two Delhi openers made a good start today. Delhi team collected 59 runs in 4 overs. Jake Fraser-McGurk remains unbeaten with 50 off just 19 balls. Jake Fraser-McGurk hits 7 boundaries and 3 over boundaries. Abhishek Porel scored 9 runs off 5 balls. The two openers got off to a fantastic start. If the team continues this streak, Delhi will give away a 220+ target today.

Due to the responsible batting of the two openers, the Delhi Capitals team managed to collect 115 runs at the end of 10 overs. The team is collecting more than 11 runs per over. If you want to win against a team like Rajasthan, you have to give a big target. It is very difficult to win against Rajasthan if they give a target of less than 200.

Abishek Porel is still at the crease after collecting 46 runs from 27 balls. Abishek Porel is batting very carefully from the beginning of the innings. Jake Fraser-McGurk was dismissed for 50 off just 20 balls. Jake Fraser-McGurk batted at 250 strike rate. However, we do not see better batting than Shai Hope and Axar Patel. Shai Hope scored just 1 run and Patel was dismissed for 15 runs from 10 balls. Despite the big target, Rajasthan has the ability to win. So today's match will be very exciting.

The match is getting interesting. The 4th wicket of DC has gone, Abishek Porel at 65. DC still have a good line up and decent strike rate. If RR is not able to take some quick wickets, the score is going to around 250 which could be a difficult target to chase. If RR be able to hold DC around 200, that would be a walk in park for RR.
Delhi Capital needs to win this match to keep it's race for the title alive. And if Rajasthan Royal lost it, Kolkata Knight Riders would keep the top spot. The matches left after this on the league would be 3-3 for both RR and KKR who are in the race to direct entry on final. The ultimate team to get to final could come to the last match between KKR and RR.

Man U's goal that they couldn't score killed my multi bet... Not the first time I've lost by the Devils... I'll probably blacklist them forever now... Of course Crystal Palace managed to surprise everyone yesterday, but even more I was surprised by Man U, who are now one step away from the Euro Cups and couldn't take even one point, losing with such a big score...
I think you're not the only one who lost on Man United betting. I also predicted that Man U could score a goal in this match but they failed to do so and even suffered such a big loss, MU's performance has been very disappointing this season. I don't think they will get UEL tickets. next season because there is no significant improvement in the Ten Hag club, it is completely impossible to expect and now MU has been overtaken by Chelsea in 7th place with the same points but Chelsea is not as bad as MU in terms of defense, Chelsea's defense is much better than MU and the total goals scored by Chelsea are greater than MU, so it is very natural that Chelsea is above MU even though they have the same points.
What a big disappointment from Eric Hag and his men, they will never stop making gamblers to run at loss, because they cannot improve their performance and remain like that for two weeks. Only what they know how to do is to come to the pitch and lose woefully. I am speechless and angry towards the club and their management because they have become losers suddenly.

This is the worst season for Manchester united, as they find it difficult to pick form where other clubs are picking form. Look at Chelsea recently have being winning their match with many goals, but Manchester united is bust conceding many goals. What a shame.

A huge loss for Manchester on the hand of Crystal Palace, ManU never threatend the defense of Crystal palace while crystal palace created a dozen of well executed attacks. All ManU players did was to clear the ball on the wrong side. Manchester United are at their lowest in decades. They have been inconsistent for for a while but this season's position is going to be a record. They are certain not to qualify for any European tournaments. They need to restructure their team and think about some players if they want to perform well in next season.
