541  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins profits or bank profits, which best? on: December 26, 2023, 03:06:46 PM
Bank investors have more certainty because there capital is completely safe but they give 8-10% annual profits to the investors of per year. But it is comparatively less in terms of profits.

On the other hand you will get constant profits from crypto as if you are experienced in trading then daily profits is possible. Otherwise you can get profits by investing. However crypto investment puts your capital at greater risk (main point).

It's always wiser to diversify your investments and saving to have a degree of financial freedom and restrict the risk of complete collapse of a sector.
Whether the altcoin profit are better than bank profit depends on how you are getting your altcoin profits and how much interest rate the bank is providing.
The interest rate in banks are generally lower than the inflation so that you believe you are getting an interest but in reality your money are losing value.
Altcoin investment, trading or simple staking are much more profitable in most cases. An example from where I live, average bank interest rate for FD are 6% while defis are providing an staking rate for USDT around 8%. Which shows it's better to stake than to put money on saving account or FD.
542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Btt staking and buying stradegy on: December 26, 2023, 02:35:56 PM
Im buying it and staking i have made most of my profit of this this month with BTT buying and staking.
When bull run start in crypto market the btt is small cap and cheap coin Im sure a lot funds will flow into this coin Im staking this also to get more BTT i don't want to speculate too much but BTT in my opinion will be one of the performers that's the only low Cap coin i will hold and will invest long term and Im staking btt aswell.
You do the same ?

BTT is a good option to have in your portfolio and they have their own blockchain launched and are not as dead as many of the coins. Integrating it as a reward for seeding torrents might not have received much attention yet it could pump good in the future as the price change are slight. They have it's development going on and I too have a small amount of BTT  and don't plan to increase much. I have put them on grid trading and they are very slow to price change. Bittorrent may bring in some news in the future that could pump the coin.
543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which currency do you prefer to use for BTC/LTC/ETH transactions? on: December 26, 2023, 01:04:34 PM
Hi, I have been using cryptocurrencies for about a year now where I usually do transactions from time to time in this period of time I have only used Bitcoin and Litecoin, I have seen quite a few people using Ethereum as well and I wanted to know what do you guys use to receive or send money with cryptos. I usually prefer to use Litecoin because it has almost no fees, in Bitcoin for small transactions of just a few dollars $5-$10 they can charge you up to $2 fees or a few months ago when it was broken they charged you $8 fees or more it was crazy, instead Litecoin does not charge you almost no fees and it is very comfortable to use although it is quite slow. And about Ethereum I have seen a lot of people using it but I don't know how the fees and speed are.

Best regards!

For trading, I have been using USDT, it makes it easier to know how much profit or loss I've made compared to a fiat equivalent. For withdrawal between exchanges, I mostly prefer LTC as it generally  have the lowest fee and wider acceptance. An immediate alternative to LTC is BCH and exchange like Coinex provide zero withdrawal fees for it. My goto dapp platform is BSC and binance provides zero or very low withdrawal fee for BNB and related tokens. Gas fees on BSC are cheaper compared to ETH and the problems are fewer compared to matic.
544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How was your crypto journey this year? on: December 26, 2023, 11:17:54 AM
Forgetting about the past and mistakes I've made, 2023 alone was a fruitful year for me. I made a good profit through both trading and investing.
I have a few regrets for selling some coins too early for profit, otherwise, every coin I have invested this year has yield me profit. The best investment was Solana.
On the field of trading, I have had a good number  of stop losses on some token but they are significantly less than what I made on profit.
And a few of my grid trading are going strong for months making as good as 100%+ APY for over 4 months.
545  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Neural implants on: December 26, 2023, 10:14:17 AM
new discussion, what if this is done to prevent premature aging.  As the primary function of everything in the nerves.  Maybe this will be a boost to something that is health at its main point.

Scientists are quite clear what the neural implants aim to achieve. It's about giving the sensory power to ones that have lost it and magnifying on those who have a poor one.
Like a camera to brain connection that lets you see without eyes and a brain to speaker connection that lets you speak by thinking without using your vocal cords.
Surely it can be used to create a sensory superhuman but we are still far away from delaying aging.  The next step could be live monitoring every health expects so that we could get a cure before the illness shows the symptoms.
546  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MATIC or DOT? on: December 26, 2023, 09:30:58 AM
Hello,
Is MATIC better or DOT? Which one has better potential?

Thank you.

MATIC is a go as an alternative for BNB while PolkaDOT have it's own blockchain. And while Matic is focused for operating dapps, Polkadot aims at getting cross platform interoperation. There are several newer alternatives to MATIC while dot is one of its kind. The growth of DOT ecosystem has been spectacular for some months now while polygon is not able to keep its growth.
I believe DOT has a better future than Matic mostly because development of DOT have more flexibility, matic being a sidechain has limited usability.
547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where TO Find Quality Air Drops on: December 25, 2023, 04:28:05 PM
Can I know where I can find quality airdrops? I started doing airdrops but No idea whether they are scams or not. And also I have a question regarding tweeter tasks of the airdrops, they say to like their twitter page and retweet. but There are two options when it comes to retweet, "Repost" and ''Quote"
what should I do? retweet or quote? please answer

It's hard to find good airdrops nowadays. There are sites like airdropalert that lists airdrops that needs to have the user do simple things like singup and social media task while there are some that seeks kyc.
Another easy way of finding Airdrops is to search for it on X. There are several new projects that are distributing coins just for posting the address. Most of them are lucky draw and just a few of the user gets the money but still they are free and easy.
Some new defi airdrops the defi tokens for locking volume on it.

550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [FINAL] FIFA Club World Cup; Manchester City vs Fluminense on: December 24, 2023, 11:48:08 AM
Manchester City got into the Cup being the UEFA champions of 2023. And we know there's no comparison to European clubs with any clubs anywhere else.
European leagues are the dream for every emerging players around the world. Non-european nations which have a good football environment like Brazil and Argentina has almost all of their top players play in European leagues. All of the top performing players except a few exceptions, chose Europe for there career.
On the overall history of the Cup, brazilian team has won 4 times in earlier format while rest 16 times has been from EPL, La liga, Serie A or Bundesliga.
551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one did you use to gamble with more on: December 23, 2023, 11:24:02 AM
I prefer staking before matches start when I started to gamble as a newbie. I later prefer virtual matches. I left both to staking on live matches which is what I gamble with most on bookies now.

This is just for fun. Let us post and have fun to know which one that most people on this forum that are posting on this gambling board like most.

Do not gamble more than you can afford to lose.

When I'm on my gambling with strategy mode, I place every bets well ahead of the game as my strategy would depend on the odds I get. When the game is live, the odds fluctuates widely depending on the performance and scoring of the teams. I tend to bet live when I believe there's a better odds for most likely event but these bets are not within my budgeted strategic gambling and are more for the fun involved.
Overall I believe the risks  on betting current odds on live game are higher than a prematch odds as the odds you get for winning team is low and the game could turn upside down anytime.
552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Owners of betting companies bet? on: December 23, 2023, 10:24:42 AM
Do owners of betting companies place bet on their own platform or is there a policy specific policy that restricts them from betting. Do you think that there would be conflict of interest or that it will be unethical if owners bet on their own platforms. These are the questions that I am seeking an answer to.

I don't think most of the sites have any terms that forbids the owner from placing a bet and in most of the cases it don't even matter.
Many of the games and sports betting results would be unknown for the owner themselves. So, they are equal to normal players there.
The cases in which the owner knows the outcome beforehand, there still won't be a problem if the site provides the entire bankroll on its own as the owner would be gambling against himself.
On the rare case of owner being able to see the outcome beforehand and users have ability to provide the bankroll, there's nothing that could prevent the owner from cheating the bankroll investors. Anyone providing the bankroll should have complete faith on the moral responsibility of the owner.
553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 22, 2023, 04:28:07 PM
The Indian team batted brilliantly in the third ODI match between India and South Africa. India set a target of 297 runs to South Africa. Batting on a target of 297 runs, South Africa initially looked like they might easily win against India. Indian team won the third one-day match with great bowling of India. Arshdeep Singh bowled great, not Arshdeep Singh and gave 30 runs and took four wickets. India team won by 78 runs Congratulations to India team.
I think India has played well in every match of this ODI series, I thought after watching the first match of the series, that India was going to whitewash South Africa in this ODI series. But unfortunately in their second match of the series, due to lack of batting side, they could not whitewash South Africa. Anyway, they put up a great performance on the batting side in this match and get the revenge of second match. Especially the batsmen of the middle order and lower order have done a great performance today, I think it is because of them that India has managed to go into this match.

Sanju Samson is proving a top class quality players having ability to make long the inning. He is looking very cool minded and playing with own style. The main thing is to how you behave in pressure. He is well set batsman for one down which is crucial stage is to control the run rate and also protect wickets. SA bowling was not good today, the fast bowler proved expensive although spin bowlers control the runs but India did the job against fast bowlers.

South Africa all best batmens know for long inning such as Klasen,Dussen, Hendricks,Miller and Markram could not scores today otherwise the target was not big to chase. Arshdeep spell was fantastic one and he was looking in great form today. He sent out both openers to pavilion which make trouble for SA to chase the high runs

Rajat Patidar used 16 balls and in these 16 balls he just made 22 runs and after this, he lost his wicket. Sai Sudharsan made 16 runs while he used 39 balls, and then he also lost his wicket.

Sanju Samson is the man of the match, he completed his century in 114. He played very well, and in the last 5th over unfortunately he lost his wicket. KL Rahul is the captain of the Indian team for this tour and the captain also didn't play well. He made 21 runs in 35 balls, it is not a  run rate in the ODI matches.

There are many things involved on how the team plays and not every ODI match should be generalized. The south African pitches had been a slower one for the batsmen.
296 was the largest score made on the whole tournament and most Indian batsmen played their role in reaching the huge target. Holding on the wickets were more important than making runs. India lost the 2nd ODI as they failed to stop falling of the wickets. The south Africa too were not far behind on run rate for chasing the score but they were unable to hold wickets as the Indian team did.
554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 22, 2023, 03:19:45 PM
Of course Inter Miami is very happy to be able to get Luis Suarez and this can increase their exposure in MLS. With this, there are already 4 former Barcelona players who have joined Inter Miami, namely Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba, Sergio Bosquest, and most recently Luis Suarez. Now just waiting for the official announcement from Inter Miami to introduce Luis Suarez to fans.
Who cares with MLS? Tongue

Major League Soccer (MLS) 2021, the thread was created in 2021, so far there are 15 pages.
Saudi Professional League 2023/2024, the thread was created in early 2023, so far there are 462 pages!
You shouldn't do that, however, MLS through Inter Miami has tried to make its league visible to everyone by bringing former Barcelona players to a team whose future is unclear apart from marketing purposes only. Roll Eyes

Well, the difference in popularity between MLS and the Saudi league is so big and it's all because MLS only puts forward one team and the signing of star players is not spread out like the teams in the Saudi league. We can admit that the Saudi league is still the best thing that can be done by several star players for the rest of their careers or even those who just want to get a big salary because they invest their funds appropriately so that the goals of Arab countries can also be realized. The rivalry between Messi and Ronaldo is still being debated even though the two are no longer in the same league and indeed this time Ronaldo's influence is very big for other European players who want to join the Saudi league team. As for Messi? Yes, it was just his old friends who came. Cheesy

Both of MLS and Saudi league are in no way comparable to popular European league. They are now in limited popularity just because of the money they are spending. Rich middle east countries are spending huge amounts on infrastructure and players for years but are yet to get any permanent football structure. US has some degree of national level framework but football has never been a priority for US.
Going for large sum of money is a norm for players at their late career and such individual approach have neither been beneficial to bring the league on focus for long nor for the players in coming back to popular leagues.
555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 21, 2023, 01:24:34 PM
The third match of the ODI series between South Africa and India has started. Today's match is very important for both the teams to win the series. The team that wins today's match will win the series. Both teams have collected 1-1 from the previous two matches. I have picked South Africa as the favorite team in today's crucial match of this series. The South African team is bowling at the beginning of today's match. The bowlers of the South African team have so far bowled 9.5 overs and managed to knock down 2 batsmen of the Indian team. If the bowlers of the South African team can put the batsmen of the Indian team under severe pressure in today's match. Then it will be very easy for South African team to win the match against India. I think South Africa fans are likely to profit by betting on today's match.
Matches between India and South Africa are very tight throughout the day as South Africa bowled very well today due to which India scored only 135 runs in 31 overs. Their run rate is very low in this game and it looks like India might lose the match against South Africa. South Africa has really gone to a very good level in the game of cricket and are they overtaking India too.  India has been seen losing matches against South Africa before. The same is likely to happen today.

135 in 31 over with 3 wickets down is not a slow game. The run rate is over 4 and with wickets on hand, any team would score about 250 with this run rate at current time as the run rate would increase over the last 10 overs. India is doing good with it singles and overall they are batting at a good rate and could reach above 250.
The previous two ODIs were also low scoring ones. This games seems would be the highest scoring game of the whole series. I see India winning at this rate as it would be difficult for South Africa to chase a larger score against the Indian bowling.
556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 21, 2023, 02:54:00 AM
Woah, After Napoli also Inter is out from the Coppa Italia.

What a strange turn of events.

Like it's really been a dramatic week to see the both clubs out of the Coppa Italia is really unbelievable, football is just one game that's really difficult to predict because no matter how strong a team is, they may just lose to a mediocre team at a time when no one expected them to lose so it isn't a new thing at all. Well, Napoli and Inter Milan have got more important matches to face both in their domestic league and the European competition so definitely, they will do better in their upcoming matches but notwithstanding, their exit from the Coppa Italia is really not a good development but regardless the two clubs are wonderful.

That's how it goes on a single legged knock out. There are no second chances. And we should appreciate the performance from Bologna and Frosinone. They outperformed their opponents on their games.
Bologna hat a great defense, good goal keeping, a penalty saved and injury time best finished goals to win. They deserved the win.
Napoli was excellent on the first half but there bad luck with the hand ball and were unable to score while Frosinone played a good game and scored in the later part of 2nd half.
Bologna could go for the trophy but I think Frosinone just got lucky there.
557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Local Base Or International Based Online Casino on: December 21, 2023, 02:14:57 AM
I prefer international bases. The main reason is because my country prohibits gambling. There is a lot of illegal local slot gambling, but according to rumors the site is very devious and I once caught a glimpse of my friend playing local slots and the appearance was less attractive, the choice of games was also limited, apart from that, my friend also experienced a lot of losses there.

When compared with international gambling sites. There are many choices of games, the rules are clear and of course the fun and interface are very different, especially since the site is licensed. And the most important and main thing is that we can use crypto as a means of deposit and withdrawal, unlike local ones which only provide bank transfers.

Yeah internationally based specially on the tax haven jurisdiction operates with bleak regulations and are always a better option than the one in your own, which probably pays a huge fees and tax to your government. Not only there are legal gray zones for you and the site aswell but you also have a huge range of gambling options to choose from. They are not limited by the local jurisdiction.
As the site saves money on taxes and fees, they are able to provide more bonus and other perks to the users. They even seem to have better odds.
You just need to be sure your jurisdiction won't bring you in trouble for using them.
558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: December 20, 2023, 02:20:52 PM
As far as I know the deal is pretty safe between Ancelotti and Brazil although I don't know whether there have been any signings yet.

I assume that if Real Madrid can't find an alternative, maybe there will be compromise for one more season with Ancelotti. But he knows if he wants to prepare the Brazilian team for 2026, he can't wait any longer than until summer 2025. I am sure that coaching a national team at a World Cup is one of his big plans and getting the chance to take responsibility for the Brazilian team sounds like a great opportunity. But if he doesn't give it enough, time it might go wrong big time.

In the end, it is up to Carlo Ancelotti to decide whether he wants to go after the big bucks being offered by Real Madrid, or the fame that comes with the coaching role with Brazil. The latter option is more risky, I would say. Brazil is a time that is disintegrating and I am not very hopeful about their chances in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. I would even go to the extent of saying that I am not even sure about Brazil qualifying for the 2026 event. At this point, they are no.6 in the CONMEBOL qualifiers after losing matches to Uruguay, Colombia and Argentina.

Brazilian team do need a shake up and for that they need some experienced coach. Brazil has a good supply of young players. The coach needs to create a new team with youth on focus. The qualifier games for this year are over and they have a whole year to try different things as nothing is more important than the world cup.
They are currently poised to qualify and if improved in the upcoming year, luckily at least 6 of the 10 CONMEBOL team qualifying this time, they would again be a favorite team in the world cup.
559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have a "gambling problem" which you can sometimes control for years? on: December 20, 2023, 12:32:11 PM
Let's start with the simple choice: Do you consider yourself to have a gambling problem affecting your happiness, security, relationships, finances, etc? (Yes or No)
Now, here is something a bit different: Do you have a "gambling problem" which you can sometimes control for years? Either you make enough income to call it "adult play", so you do not have real problems, and/or you simply stop for a long time. Then - months or years later - it gets worse again and you are in trouble.

(First question was above)
(Second question) Either way, when it's time to stop, how exactly do you do it? (For example) Change other habits, go new places, exercise more, stop drinking, simply "swear off" gambling... How exactly do you stop? Thank you.

Yes this defines my  situation. I have for times lost everything on a gambling site and I once, lost all of my balance rage betting as I lose more and more. Not only the balance on gambling sites but also depositing all of my bank balance.
I was in a relationship at that time and I went to a severe anxiety that I could not do my daily task and my work for days. It was my partner who consolidate and made me promise I'll not gamble again.
The promise was not a legit one from my side but since than I have been able to stop me after emptying balance of some gambling sites on rage bets. It might be controlling your brain or learning from your mistakes but since that day I didn't lost more than I was willing to gamble.
560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Behavioral Change!!! on: December 20, 2023, 02:22:14 AM
Does any of feel behavioral change in you based on the win/loss in gambling. Myself had experienced it, and personally I used to be happy and I used to be polite with my family members and kid whenever I am on profit. On the day of losing it changes exactly in the opposite way, even for simple things I get much anger. Particularly while giving food to kid patience is must. On winning days I let him take his own time and eat. On the losing days I used to shout at him. I'm addicted, and I want fellow gamblers to make a self analysis at regular interval and be on the safer side.

Of course any win and lose would have behavioral effect on the person involved. There's sense of achievement or loss due to the result like while playing sports or supporting a team. And in case of gambling, the individual is the main player in action. And further there is monetary gain and loss, like losing your job or getting an promotion, or being paid or not paid for your task.
So, gambling results has a double effect on people's emotion and some are more capable of hiding it than other but there would always be some degree of behavioral changes. Moreso if the amount is larger.
