Hello,
I am new to the pool. Currently I have an avalon 741 pointed at the solo pool, hashing around 9 TH/s. I was wondering how do you find it out if you find a block? does it say it somewhere on the user stats page?
The reward appears immediately in your wallet, your stats bestever share will be better than current network diff, it will be announced here on the thread, and any wallet monitor such as an online one would inform you of the reward payment. Hmm... what if a block is found by me and not rewarded to me? Then you screwed up and put in the wrong btc address?

If your bottleneck is your cable it's better to change it to a higher speed cable. Cat 5: 10/100 Mbps Cat 5e: 1000 Mbps Cat 6: 10 Gbps
Another person with useless advice. You can mine on a dial up modem it uses so little bandwidth.

Maybe a little Ionic / Angular / Firebase app would be an easy way to let users log in with secured access and adjust things like their wallet address? Then payout could, ideally, access whatever address they currently have associated with their email. Would require some massive changes to the back end I'm sure, seems like all user storage is done off wallets right now, it would have to turn into something more like 'firebase user auth ID' etc. Which breaks anonymous usage so... not a perfect fix, but maybe the two could find a way to co-exist (like if the account has been signed up, the ID field is their auth ID... but if they have not signed up, the ID is their wallet address, etc).
Would ruin the fact that this ckpool is all inclusive as one application that does everything end to end in the simplest fastest way possible as one can see from the public git of the code in use as is.

Hey All,
I received some advice from a friend regarding changing my cat 5 ethernet cables to cat 7 instead. He mentioned that this will increase the amount of satoshis I receive for my hashrate.
What is your take on this?
Won't make any difference at all.

BTW, is it possible to mine to both de.ckpool.org and solo.ckpool.org at the same time in load balancing or this makes no sense?
Makes no sense.

My appoligies ck. I just thought 34 blocks out the last 24hrs was a really lucky streak.
No problems; 34 blocks in the last 24 hours HERE would be a really lucky streak... That's like a year's worth of blocks.

I have lost access to my old blockchain.info wallet that uses the address "1EjTdmm8768CPvt8kXQRrZoby2ivXjyPpb": 0.14251929
Can you please change it -cK?
We can use this one 1AQxQPtcsX1GU9b4UrLhodHSyiAKT37dng
No sorry. I cannot confirm any such change and to force that sort of change would require a pool hack and restart. Anyone could lay claim to anyone's address doing what you asked. Without a signed message from the original address I cannot do that. Some quoted text here in the forum is good? If yes, I think I can find something ...... No it's not sorry. As I said it's a massive change to pool code to fix just one address of yours and without a message signed with your private key there is no way to confirm you're the owner of that key even with old posts from the forum. it's no different to withdrawing money from an exchange with your address; they would never give you the money to a new address without you confirming you're the owner of the old address. This is no trivial thing you're asking.

But GPU mining have for other coins not only bitcoin
Right, and the official cgminer is for bitcoin mining ONLY.Does that mean that only questions specific to Bitcoin mining with cgminer can be posted here? I posted a general question about cgminer and it was deleted for some reason but I made no reference to bitcoin but I am using version 3.7.2. Just trying to see where my questions should land. Thanks in adavnce. Gsam I have the same question, sort of. I just watched a vid of an iBeLink DM11G using CGMiner for dash. Does CGMiner mine X11, including DASH? So confused now, any help appreciated. See bold above. I understand what you typed, but that's what is so confusing. Please see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlyfJUG7roo at 1:20 clearly showing CGMiner - Dash Is there another CGMiner built specifically for X11? Virtually every piece of mining software out there is based on cgminer. Some renamed it but many just kept the same name. I only maintain the original cgminer for bitcoin and do not support anyone else's unofficial fork nor do I care to get involved with altcoins. CK, may I sugest changing the topics title to "OFFICIAL CGMINER BITCOIN (ONLY!!! - NO ALTCOINS / NO GPUs) mining software thread for linux/win/osx/mips/arm/r-pi 4.10.0" ? It's been quite trending people skipping the other 16744 posts on this page where that has been stated hundreds of times!!! You're in the Bitcoin section of the Bitcoin forums so, no...

It never rains. There appears to be a DDOS on the main pool now.
I don't know if this is related but I have noticed my workers jumping in and out every 5 min or so it says "workers": 0 then few moments later there back. they are all pointed at the DE server. The main pool is responsible for reporting the hashrate so if the connectivity between DE and the main pool is affected the main pool will be reporting the wrong hashrate. That doesn't mean that the hashrate was low on DE. Anyway it appears to have subsided now.

Seems to have subsided (maybe the datacentre ddos protection was responsible) so I restarted the pool and everything looks back to normal.

I noticed the last two blocks were no longer showing any signal and the commit to the bitbucket repo what is the main purpose for this code? if (likely(witnessdata_check)) {
+ if (wb->insert_witness && witnessdata_check[0] && safecmp(witnessdata_check + 4, wb->witnessdata) != 0)
+ LOGERR("Witness from btcd: %s. Calculated Witness: %s", witnessdata_check + 4, wb->witnessdata);
+ } else
+ LOGNOTICE("Segwit rules returned but no default_witness_commitment to check witness data");
break;
}
} The code used on this pool is unique and different from the main ckpool code. That change you're asking about is for broken bitcoin daemons that say they have witness data and then don't provide it.

I guess its just solo.ckpool.org that has the issue I am on the DE server it seems to still be up I have a few pointed at solo.ckpool.org and its now showing dead in the status on the miners.
What is the issue ck? Is it related to the recent update?
It is back up and yes the DE pool remained up. It appeared to be related to the recent update yes. It was software instability which I need to address.
