I think most of you are wrong about anonymous features. Because you're not paying attention to what is being said. People don't generally seek full-time anon transactions but they like to have the option available as and when they might wish to utilise it. That's all that is being said. There is little mileage in promoting a coin based solely on it being 100% anonymous 100% of the time, except for the type of people who 'need' that and, let's be honest here, they aren't going to be bringing legitimacy to a coin project that will elevate it to being seen as a serious contender in the mainstream. This is why VRC is gaining rapid traction, not because it can do anon, but because it does more than anon, while still being, at it's core, a p2p PoS interest-bearing currency. I think most of you are wrong about anonymous features. Not many people care now because crypto is still new and you can't use it for much. When crypto is mainstream and it's used for many different types of financial transactions, investments, and purchasing, a lot of people will care about privacy. Private transactions has many real world uses and not just for illegal transactions. IMO, there will be a huge market for private transactions in the crypto banking and financial sector. Several years out from now, of course.

Verisend is both trusted and centralized (as opposed to trustless and decentralized). In other words, it's a completely worthless anonymity solution. AKA, it's a gimmick, kind of like how veribit is a gimmick, just in a different sort of way. Thanks for the FUD... The Devs have already stated that they are working on complete decentrialized system for Verisend and Veribit. Tell me how its a gimmick, where can I you spend your Dark, XC, Monero, Black, Peer, NXT, NEM? Don't give me 3-5 websites either! Now where can I spend my Vericoin? Oh right....anywhere Bitcoin is! Vericoin = Checkmate other shitcoins! It's really not checkmate until VRC can be used on its own. Sorry, that's just the truth. In all fairness, the XC dev is pretty sharp. I'm sure he can figure out a way to make a Veribit type application. I just think the VRC devs were the first to think of something like that and to their credit VRC is now the first mover. Don't count out XC in coming up with something revolutionary. I like Vericoin, so don't get the wrong idea from my comment. I'm just keeping it real. |

I didn't receive any notifications from devs though. I believe they should send messages to every user to make sure everybody get their stakes. Node will have really bad reputation if devs just keep coins to themselves because of the security bug.

I HODL drk, xc, cloak, veil, and other anon coins. Yes, you can HODL them all. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and fight myself.  that is a smart investor's choice. If only people weren't so toxic and/or stupid they would know what to do. If I had the capital of like half the people in this topic I would be rich by now following such advice. Pump % Dump on server anonymity. compared to the server anonymity, DRK is to some degree innovation, i am serious. at least drk is trying to be decentralized. lol i made 50000USD on veri and super. and buying XC at 0.001 with some portion. I actually like Vericoin. Not nearly as much as I like XC, but that goes without saying. Even though the main features are centralized, it's kind of cool and the community seems to like it. very soon. i mean very very soon, there will be tens and hundreds coins popping up with standard centralized server anonymity feature. this fancy stunt will not last long. ppl will get fatigued soon. but don't miss any chance to make quick dollars. I'm talking about Veribit, not the anon feature. believe me, it is also server stunt. with some btc pool. it won't last long. ppl are just saying it is interesting, but more interested in making quick dollars. i am not fuding VERI, actually i am the earliest adopter. pnosker knows me very well. I'm not trying to pump the coin or saying it's going to be the next big thing. I'm just saying it's cool enough for me to hold longer than I would other shit coins. |
