hey guys hope you can help me with this noob question. The volume today is really high. but the price is stil going down. what does the volume mean to the price?
If you call this high volume then you must be new. A month ago we were seeing 1500+ BTC trading. Im indeed new here (one of the losers who bought at 300k). but can you tell me what the meaning is of a "high" volume? what does it mean for the price for example? It doesn't mean anything for the price. The price could go down or up on high/low volume. |

XC is at 176 BTC on Mintpal right now - 2nd place behind DRK at 185 BTC. Just FYI, for those claiming no buy support or interest  Dark one time was doing 1500+ BTC a day and so was XC... whats your point? To say volume is high is comical right now. When the top coins are doing 10% of what they used to do, that does not speak about any coin in particular. Good try though. Did I ever say volume was high? I did not. I simply listed the two highest volume coins on mintpal, which is a good indication of where the money is moving today. There were people asking about volume, so I offered some perspective. I am far from new.  Well there is no money moving anywhere alt wise right now. XC could simply take off over 160K easy with a little bit of money... 20 BTC is all it would take. I don't know why you are arguing with PowderMonkey? He was just refuting Pookie's claim that XC had no volume and that it's #2 on MP. |

Said Big fuck up with release would lead to big implications... I have dumped over 50% of my holdings... i Feel like this is cinni all over again.. the tech is there and the team delivers... but people got burnned on price and then got burned on Rev2.. i still hold some XC in hope it will rise and also because i know how strong the team is... Put most of my xc sell off in to CLOAK theyr doing huge things. Good luck XC i will keep monitoring as i am holdign but not as much as i once did
The mess up was 100% on the PR side. I still don't understand how you can have a situation where REV2 was delayed but all the features have been delivered.  If the features are delivered, doesn't that make REV2 delivered? The way this was handled just makes my head explode. With regards to your new investment. Based on my experiences, once a coin reaches the top 20 market cap, you better love the coin for the long-term because the short-term pump is coming close to an end. The upside for top 20 coins becomes more heavily weighted toward the possibility of mass adoption. Innovation and good BitcoinTalk marketing tactics will get the coin to the top 20 and great marketing gets it to the top 10. |

This may be frowned upon but I will be brutally honest. After holding for ages, watching the coin go to 300k then back to 200k, then 270k, then 200k, then 220k then 180k, then 210k then all the way down to 170k and now at 130k I sold my coins. I sold @190 and bought back in cheaper because due to lack of news, its clear the down trend would continue for a little while so why lose thousands of pounds of my hard earned cash that I invested, when I could sell high and buy back when its cheaper? Hell, I was already down around 2k watching the pice fall from 300k to 200k, now I get to make that money back watching it rise from 130k-230k.
I will support XC, I will invest but give me more info in regards to a time scale so I have the will to hold when the price is high.
You dirty market manipulator.  How dare you sell your coins and make the price go down. I have Hold my coins all the way back from the first rise back to 0.75 and then up to 300k and down again to this point. I have traded 10% in the mean time and bought some more and increased my Stack but I could have done much better. It is just that this time I did not Expect a delay in the Release and was expecting the coin to hit 1M at least after REV2 with Public Bounty.. I was kidding. Everyone has a right to do whatever they want with their money without explanation. |

Orders are free to be entered in the market. All orders on the book are there for the taking, whether it's for 1 second or until the end of time. The market is free and that's the way it should be. what an idiot...understanding nothing... Are you talking to yourself? I understand what you guys consider manipulation. My point is that I don't think there is anything wrong with someone posting a huge sell order for whatever they are trying to achieve. The order is out there for the taking if somebody wants to buy it. If the seller wants to take the risk then so be it. That's called manipulation.. .idiot... If somebody have the power to drive the price down by dumping, or even by showing his intent to sell, lots of people are going to sell because it's a MARKET you monkey...you sell high and buy low, or you buy low and sell high...and there are bagholders too, who keep their coins for mid-term to sell on a much higher price, because they don't have the time or knowledge to daytrade... The seller is taking no risk considering that most of them bought at ~100k sat. They sell, create panic, buy more coins, repeat...hit the bottom, pump, create panic buy...let the bots do their job...etc.... This is happening since forever in markets and crypto is no different... I'm talking about more frequent updates, more details, and a place to find these updates. Because this affects the whole coin, market cap, buyers, sellers etc. Why do you think XC just hit 2 week low at 130k?
I get what you are saying, but if you have been following XC at all you would know the team has communicated updates quite frequently and development has moved at a brisk pace. To use the word scam in your post is way out of line. No development team or coin is above reproach, but XC has shown no reason for that kind of accusation. I will admit the communication over the last week or so has been fuzzy and I'm not sure how they could have let that happen at such a crucial point. |

Is this a serious question?  It is a valid question. This price decline gives me bad vibes, just like it did with all other scam-coins that I bought. Always huge road-maps with large expectations, price boost then just decline to nothing. I would want much more updates from devs and what they are doing, they can't work in silent, then people won't believe that they are working, even if they delivered before. Because to gain trust they have to deliver in the beginning, and then they will sell premine etc etc. So start to give us the updates we deserve, and show that this is not just another scam-coin. Is this a serious statement? If you tell me that you actually thought about this response before you posted, I will try to give you a serious answer. If you know anything about how markets work and the significant amount of communication and information the XC team has provided already, then you should be able to answer your own question. Let me know if I can help. Well, the only thing I want is more updates about progress. I don't really care about when price starts to move up, if it goes sideline. But now it keeps getting lower every day, which is not a good sign. People say whales, but you can't be so sure they didn't sell most of their stash at 300-200k, and now medium/small investors are selling off, which is the cause for this price decrease. I can't see that there is any reason to not post "Today I was working with the code 10 hours, just trying to make something work. I hope that you all understand how much time I put into this, and I will not fail", etc. If you really are working a lot, then there should be no problem to login here and just write more updates about progress. Hi all
Just a quick remark about Rev 2.
7/7/14 was the date upon which we promised you multipath.
We delivered that, and also a quick world-first on the side: trustless mixing.
Once a new revision is released, it always gets worked on, improved, polished. So you should expect updates following a major "rev".
We wouldn't have put out an early build of multipath before 7/7/14, so you shouldn't be surprised that we're finishing off Rev 2 after the date. Otherwise we would've jumped the Rev 2 gun.
Ideally we would've put out a more mature version on 7/7/14, but hey, world first.
The full Rev 2 will be out in due course, but don't feel that we're behind on a deadline or something. We gave you multipath on the day, and then some.
TBH, I find this all quite confusing. REV 2 was supposed to be delivered on 07/07/14 according to your timeline. My understanding is that it wasn't? Then the team says all the features were delivered on time? If the features were delivered on time then why cause confusion? Just say REV 2 is out and the updates will be REV 2.1. It's now July 16th. I don't understand how the team can let the confusion go on for this long. Clarification should have been right away. |
