Would updating windows wallet reset the transition bot meaning I would have to re-link?

No, you don't have to link again after an update. Did it myself several times, all addresses stay linked. Please always chat with the transition bot to make sure all your addresses are linked and have balance on it!
762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 29, 2017, 09:10:22 PM
So far, at least 1 non-founder-affiliated JavaScript developer (me) has gone through the code looking for obvious major mistakes and found none.

What is your expertise in this area? Noone questions Todd's one, but yours is unknown.
My skill-level in JavaScript and general cryptography is as high as your skills in threatening and stalking me and other people for asking inconvenient questions about your latest scam project after your failed NXT - IOTA. Thats how much expertise. Much wow such exeprtise.

I've just seen your interesting post on "the other thread". Was it censored or did you delete it yourself?
763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 29, 2017, 09:08:40 PM
how to check which BTC address received BB and how much? where is that list?

also i noticed I did not get blackbytes only bytes? how is this possible? is it because I had to update the bb wallet because the old one would not sync?

The stats for round 1 are here: http://transition.byteball.org/firstround.html

Please update to the latest wallet 1.1.1, maybe you still get your Blackbytes. If not, please go to the #helpdesk channel in our slack and we'll have a look at your issue.

...

hi
I have a question,
How do I participate in 2nd distribution? Will I be automatically involved if I own a byteball in my wallet?

What i want
:Bytes to bytes,Bytes to blackbytes

All bytes in every wallet will receive new bytes (0.1 new bytes per 1 byte) but for receiving new blackbytes as well you have to send all your bytes to a linked address. Please talk to the transition bot to do so. You first have to link a bitcoin address to get to the stage where the bot gives you the linked byte address.
770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 29, 2017, 07:32:24 AM
hi, guys.

i've made linkin' BTC addresses and Byteball addresses via chat-bot:

Code:
Your current linked Bitcoin addresses are [b]1MemNmw56zbYyB5KCdUu4sxnKm3ki8MbFo,[/b] 18QtWczuNrko3623aqhbApSYCwhKnwH4gB.

Please make sure that 1MemNmw56zbYyB5KCdUu4sxnKm3ki8MbFo, 18QtWczuNrko3623aqhbApSYCwhKnwH4gB are indeed your addresses and move all your coins to these addresses. You receive 62.5 MB and 131,943,750 blackbytes for each 1 BTC of the total balance of these Bitcoin addresses on February 11.

Current balances of these addresses are:
1MemNmw56zbYyB5KCdUu4sxnKm3ki8MbFo: 0 BTC
18QtWczuNrko3623aqhbApSYCwhKnwH4gB: 5.0242017 BTC.

For the bytes you hold on February 11 you receive 0.1 new byte for each 1 byte of your balance, even if your bytes are not on linked Byteball addresses.

You also receive 0.21111 blackbytes for each 1 byte of your balance on the linked Byteball addresses, which currently are:
KJFZZUYIQQSJWUTEUUKBTVMRP5HPAO35: 0 GB
HHTV3RMXHN6ZVFOLRLUD77C2MSKOQURY: 0 GB.

Move your bytes to one of the linked addresses in order to maximize the amount of blackbytes you receive.

But the fisrt BTC address 1MemNmw56zbYyB5KCdUu4sxnKm3ki8MbFo isn't mine, and the same about the first Byteball KJFZZUYIQQSJWUTEUUKBTVMRP5HPAO35 (it's deleted now).

bottom line

My non-zero BTC is 18QtWczuNrko3623aqhbApSYCwhKnwH4gB and my Byball address is HHTV3RMXHN6ZVFOLRLUD77C2MSKOQURY.

Is that correct that it's all aranged for 11 Feb receiving of MyBTCAddressBalanceAmountOn11Feb*(62.5 MB and 131,943,750 blackbytes)?

P.S. Why is this free gift (or what else)?

thanks for ur answers.

It's all good.
Last thing you have to do if you already have Bytes in your wallet is to send these bytes to your address HHTV3RMXHN6ZVFOLRLUD77C2MSKOQURY because otherwise you wouldn't get your new blackbytes for them.

This is a free gift because it's the distribution model the chief developer has chosen for his crypto (commonly known as 'airdrop'). Please read the OP for details!

Another post about this insignificant bs called 'byteball' = ban

While I completely agree this is not the place to discuss the "insignificant bs", the tone of this message forced me to reply.

What kind of peremptory shout is this? Are we in nazi kindergarten? Is there a rule published on the top of the thread, which prohibits to discuss "insignificant bs", and allows someone to talk in this tone to other "regular" people here?

If yes, then ban me. If not, then I would expect your apologies.

Don't you know that there is this sign hanging on the wall behind David's desk?

While this is a debugging stage, the correct fork is the one devs operate on.
Devs, can you write a good peer ip that can be manually added to join your fork?

We connect to the default peers in the config.
So if you leave those the default and leave on the forceScan and forceValidate flags in the config it should work.

You are correct that this is a debugging stage.

I am also using one of the dev bonus accounts to mine blocks in order to get the network in order, I was unaware of the horrific nature of doing this in order to get a properly functioning network. I would of course donate away all my forging awards. Pretty sure the community comes up with a good cause.

Why is it that some nodes have a negative value for weight? Should they be blacklisted?

Investigating.

Why am I not getting any output in my cmd window for 44 minutes now?
any way to check a log?

Set more fine grained log settings.

Nobody can forge except two nodes, please unblock our IPs!

People, don't be lazy!

Have a chat with the transition bot and check if your bitcoins and bytes are correctly linked.

We can't make this any easier than it is now!

HEAT seems undervalued at this point let see where it goes Smiley

how do you figure,
at 0.0001  - it gives heat a marketcap of around 2.4 million dollars.
Do you feel this project is worth more than projects such as LbRY or Bitbay,
I don;t think so. Not from what i have seen so far.

Stage 2 ico BTC price was 0.00013 ÷ 1.5 = 0.00008667 BTC

Average price paid might be slightly lower than that if extra HEAT from c-cex gets distributed or burnt.

That means average market cap ico investors bought in at was about 2100 BTC

Even Potcoin is at 4450 BTC market cap.

Weak hands will be shaken out now then they will cry later when we go up past 10000 BTC market cap like Stratis

There are 25 Million Heat. so its 2500 BTC. The market will make the valuation once they see the potential.

Look at Byteball. Its a 2 men studio, marketcap 4,5Mill. Its a bubble. blob

Though quite off topic, I must correct this.
It's true that Byteball was developed only by one person within 2 years. But now there are at least two developers active in Byteball and a lot of volunteers like myself for marketing and support. The #helpdesk on the Byteball slack alone is staffed with 4 supporters!

New to the platform and very excited about all the work that's being done. You guys have had some great insight so far and I'm looking forward to learning more about progress on this project.

Hoping someone can help me out.

I'm trying to link my BTC account with BB Wallet but been wasting the entire day trying to figure out what wallet I need as it's mentioned on the front page you have to have control over your BTC private key.

Coinbase has the ability to sign messages to confirm ownership of the account, but we can't use our account for BB according to the bot and others on this site.

Can anyone explain why this is an issue? Is it because exchanges reuse addresses at times causing BTC balance discrepancies? But how would the bot differentiate a non coinbase/exchange account from one that is since BTC addresses have no identifiers anyways?

Also, can anyone recommend BTC Wallets that are compatible to link with BB wallet? Does Copay, Breadwallet, blockchain wallet any of these work?

Thanks in advance!

I guess that every wallet in which you can sign a message should work. The mentioned problem is only when you send out a micro tx, this is not always from your wallet address but from a special hotwallet address of your exchange and is thus filtered out by the transition bot.

As a wallet I personally use Electrum with signing a message, works perfectly.

Research work byteball purse. On the Russian forum.
The fall program. An exception. Backup byteball not helped.
Spontaneous generation of addresses inside the purse.

Sorry, I don't speak russian and so I can't read the error description in that thread.
Have you installed the latest wallet version 1.1.1?

Thanks I just misread "Actually, for the second round 1 BTC is equivalent to 625 MB because 1 BTC gives 62.5 MB, the same as 625 MB would give."

Makes sense to me now.

On a side note:
You can also buy 16.66 GB with your 1 BTC now and get 10% as bonus on top from the distribution! 😄
