if u go POW the best advice i can give u is to make the POW coinrollout as low as possible
trust me 95% of POW miners dont care for the coin just the BTC they can sell the coin for
and ERC is not in a state to counter that constant sellpressure
to have more different people involved at ERC POW mining isnt helping at all
what u need is investors not miners
investors buy miners sell

I would add that merge mining creates buying pressure because those mining want the payout in ERC.But straight miners, mine the most profitable coin to sell quickly. u mean multipool mining yes thats why DMD run a own multipool since ages and promote mine there always above mine DMD direct we use hybrid POS/POS for security reasons but we keep POW rewards very small just 0.2 DMD each 100 sec a well set up hybrid coin doesnt need much hashrate or many miners to be secure |

I get my DMD by mining nicehash and using the auto-convert function to recieve daily payment in DMD. Using nicehash allows the auto-switch to the most profitable coins for mining... I need lower temps now and my cards have only 1GB, so no eth for them. So i decide to mine direct, and just want to know what hashrate should i expect. mine DMD was cold in the past when miners where not optimized if u use optimized miners its no longer cold.... u can reach the same effect to be cool by downclock ur GPU and mine with nicehash tool What optimized miner? research on ur own here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=779598.0i own only nvidia rigs this days so cant give up2date infos about AMD based miners |

i think u missunderstand the nature of POW mining as most people see it
mine altcoins is just a way to earn BTC
this means a high percentage of POW coin rollout is direct sell pressure
the nature of POS that coins produce coins give buy coins and stake coins sense
and there is absolute nothing wrong with a codebase that forked from bitcoin 0.8x
it can pretty easy be upgraded to 0.9x too (and be honest what bitcoin ability that 0.9x didnt have already u need for ERC u will find none)
a codetree reach sooner or later a state where he is so different from bitcoin base that it have to be seen as a own tree
and that is true for PPC/NVC tree which all the POW/POS hybrid coins are based on

and sad to throw away POS the automated split AND merge of coin pile is working in actual implementation
which means ERC is a zero micromamangement 24/7 staking POS coingenerator
im really not sure throw this away is the best decision
i would focus on services and apps and not touch the core
the only thing that was missing is active staking wallets and POS difficulty for security
the network have now much better POS competition and security that before
the last few security flaws could be easy solved by implement a easy rule that the same address that did mint the last block is not allowed to mint the following block too
then all double spend attacks with hoard lot coinpile for max age are pretty much countered

Same here. Rewards end up with the message "Generated but not accepted". I had 5 rejected 'awards'. The current has 39 confirmations.. Fingers crossed that this one is accepted... at the moment im the wallet who produce most blocks and since i switched to the new wallet version im pretty sure the new generated POS blocks stay accepted |

such "unimportant" info like POS rewards are increased by over 40% ( 5 -> 8 ) u shouldnt only hand out only on request please in the future add a changelog to new release so we know what changed |

I would love to, but according to my schedule for the following week, ill be very busy too. I hope someone from the community step up and volunteer to organize this Signature Campaign Idea for XMG. This will promote XMG to other thread of Bitcointalk.org.
And this is THE problem with XMG. So many good thoughts so little time. The only way to save XMG from going to 100 sat would be a well paid team with good programmers and marketing guys. Otherwise I assume the end will come very soon, because the coin will be removed from all exchanges. But with a marketcap of nearly 50.000 there will be no money for a well paid team. Well, end is WE GAVE IT UP. come on guys more community than lot 200k marketcap coins and a active dev if u dont give up he dont give up who dont stop fighting can not lose he can only die and thats the way to valhalla a classic win - win situation  |

But on the other hand he will have TWO possibilities to achieve the goal:
1) mining and supporting the network
2) saving and limiting the supply for a certain time
thats not true u dont have two possibilities to achieve u have to use both or u fall behind in conserve the percentage of total coins im not against hybrid POW/POS solutions (how i could by run DMD is one of the best example it works out great) but for the hybrid security aspect u can even go with low mining coin rollout i dont wana create ur coin specs enough work to manage one coin i just raise this points so u can create coin specs and have that aspects also in mind when u doing so |

Dear Diamond programmers and owners.
Is it normal, that synchronised wallet 2.1.0.3 on Mac OS, "closes unexpectedly" (or, simply speaking, crushes) since today?
I installed it a week ago, synced the whole blockchain (for some reason, it did not work with downloaded blockchain files), and today it crushes constantly, not even opening the actual wallet window.
I know Mac version has always been a kind of a "poor unwanted relative", but could you do something with it, please?
I checked synchronization wallet on MAC OS. It works, but the process takes a few days. I not see the falls or other problems. Please use the ready blockchain for MAC OS. he say since today his mac wallet crashes are u able stop and start ur mac wallet without issues stephan? |
