groestlcoin did choose using regarding transactions sha256 instead of sha256d which most coins uses diamond did stay on the established standard of sha256d at solomining this doesnt matter because transactions are handled inside wallet at stratum mining block have to be prepared by miner + stratum the right way to be accepted by the wallet

danbiDoes this still continue? - yes, still continue. I have sgminer I took here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=475795.0;allneed this sgminer? or write a link to sgminer which is suitable for DMD my settings: setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 sgminer.exe -k groestlcoin -o http://dmdpool.digsys.bg:3345 -u login -p pass --no-submit-stale --gpu-engine 1170 --gpu-memclock 1020 --thread-concurrency 24000 -I 22 --gpu-reorder --scan-time 1 -o stratum+tcp://dmdpool.digsys.bg:3333 - only rejects. with than miner u can use only 3345 port i suggest to requiest that they add danbi's -diamond option to their official client like i requested allready https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=475795.msg6684013#msg6684013if more ask for it its more likly -diamond become part of official sph-miner i think some pages back in this thread danbi posted a precompiled linux version and a link to his source if someone compiled it for windows i dont know

Why I have on GRS 20 Mh, but on DMD 17.5-18 Mh with the same settings? How to fix it? setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 sgminer.exe -k groestlcoin -o http://dmdpool.digsys.bg:3345 -u login -p pass --no-submit-stale --gpu-engine 1170 --gpu-memclock 1020 --thread-concurrency 22400 -I 22 -g 2 --gpu-reorder --scan-time 1 try removing -g2 changed: removing -g2 and --thread-concurrency 24000 and I received: 19.5-19.9 Mh not so well as on GRS (20-20.11 Mh) keep in mind port 3345 is a getwork based pushpool and not stratum could be the reason he perform a bit worse if ya wana try startum u need the modified miner and the other port (i think its 3333?) but for that 2% less performance i wouldnt invest the time if not really bored

Will coins kept in a pool generate POS? I know I should keep coins in my wallet, but I was just wondering if it behaves the same as an exchange or if the pool or myself will get the extra coins.
every transaction destroy coinage once u transfer the coins away from pool or exchange they start with 0 coinage in your wallet pool wallet could mint if it have coins old enought exchange wallet could mint if it have coins old enought but no exchange or pool that i know have mechanics that are able to account minted coins to the right user short answer as exchange or pool user u will never earn any POS rewards for coins u leave there

Also, I have come to understand that the CVO is not a native English speaker. Absolutely nothing wrong with that except that this is an international website and the implicit/explicit language is English. Therefore standard should be kept high. Since we don't have you physically in front of us, the first thing that people will see are your words and they will judge you on that (as I have already seen it). I'm not a native English speaker myself but I do an effort in making sure spelling and punctuation is as good as possible so to reflect a good image. The CEO on the other hand seems to be writing fine.
yoda speech isnt wanted.... as u wanted it should be i wont change my web posting style all major announcements will be like always writen by popshot in perfect havard english i have to stop read this thread because if reading i know i will post replys and i dont wana hurt our all beloved diamonds by my inproper wording puntuation and image destroying statements edit: i will be avaiable for questions on http://dmdcoin.net/forum/

Don't get me wrong, I'm being blunt with you guys because I want the coin to be successful, I've mined it for a long time off and on. You need to know the truths about what our perception of you is, so you can learn and grow from it.
its YOUR perception mine is that we worked whole day and we did think lets give the community some good news and we earned "blunt" in first reply.....

I seem to be having some issue with the wallet. Here is the error message I get Any update on the wallet? I have all my coins at cryptsy and would like to Withdraw them.. for your bug delete blockchain and sync again (or use downloable blockchain to reduce sync time) its a rare bug that will be solved in next wallet release

Thanks for the heads up.
I follow you on twitter, and the profile was active unitl the 6th of may, when the big problems surfaced from what I understand. I know you have to work and so on, but a lot of people (including me) are trying to understand if the best strategies right now is to buy, to wait or to exit.
I'm sure your is not a simple task, but the lack of ETA, the fact that others groestl coins don't have the same problem and the lack of communication are impacting hard the imange of DMD.
use @DMDcoin for twitter news i use my own twitter account rare @DMDcoin is managed by another team member like i said we split work we cant give a ETA because we dont want to release unready(without enough testtime) again this is a lesson we learned the hard way please keep in mind we are the first coin that switch algo towards groestl which is a much harder task than just start a copy of groestlcoin we dont aim to be a copy of anything we take the best of all a lot coins features in our opinion and merge it into a unique way together with total new mechanics as example a total coin based trigger for rollout steps but we not seeking excuses because there are no excuses needed we did encounter troubles and we do our best to fix them

Could you elaborate regarding the pool problem? I'm just informing about the situation.
the groestl implementaion in diamond isnt 100% identical to other groestl implementations example groestlcoin solo mining is combatible but at pool mining it behave different pool and wallet need adaptions (we working on this and will hand out the updatet wallet together with a howto setup a diamond pool) meanwhile we will set up a temporary pool together with a helpful pool admin from community which use alternative pool software (non stratum) i can understand people who rare check the thread dont have the time to read trought thread but basical we explained all of this already low communicatinglevel is sure not something that would fit to diamond staff activity on btt we try to keep community informed about everything thats going on

the "dev" that seems to post all the time cant even be bothered to structure his sentences properly and uses grade 3 spelling for words that are pretty easy. If he is posting from a phone all the time I can understand that but why the fuck are you posting from a phone ? If you were working on the "problems and going over each line of code" Id expect you to be posting from the pc you are working on.
yes im non native speaker no im not the code dev im CVO of diamond foundation and did design the coin mechanics and specs diamond isnt a one man show we are a few dedicated people and share work maintain the btt thread is our job if my bad struktured sentenses leave an questions unanswered please be forgiving with me and ask again i try to find proper words your humble servant Cryptonit

I'm sorry, could you elaborate? So we have 1) A stuck blockchain -> resolved 2) A wallet problem -> resolved 3) Cryptsy, the only exchange right now, who didn't update their wallet -> 4) It's not possible to mine in pool, but just in solo mining -> Am I right? So we have the problem 3) and 4) to be solved? 3.) https://sharexcoin.com/market/DMD_BTC is working alternative exchange we still work on all levels to get cryptsy fix their exchange too 4.) a temporary pool who allow pool mining until next wallet release is in work

Found 2 blocks in less than 2 hours. 2 transactions appeared on my wallet. However 1 disappeared nearly instantly after it showed up in the wallet. I understand the block needs to be accepted in the block chain but here the transaction doesn't even appear as "not accepted".
What's up with that?
can happen when a re-org happens A re-org means your block didn't get accepted because another block was generated right about the same time as yours and it won. So your wallet had to remove that block and try again. details u can find in logfile should look like this: 01/21/14 21:18:23 REORGANIZE 01/21/14 21:18:23 REORGANIZE: Disconnect 1 blocks; 00000001a342e1cf7975..0000000145ca5372ad0c 01/21/14 21:18:23 REORGANIZE: Connect 1 blocks; 00000001a342e1cf7975..0000000090681a6cf473 01/21/14 21:18:23 REORGANIZE: done https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Chain_Reorganizationhttps://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Orphan_Block
