Sorry guys. The coin market is flooded as is, and no amount of PR spin will make up for the fact you can't even fix pools, which are core to the survival of any coin believe it or not. Yes solomining is good. But the masses dont want this. They want to see it on pools, compare it against other coins. If you keep your coin in the closet, that's where it will stay.
i think there is a misunderstanding what leads to success of a coin its not people mining and selling coins its people who trust a coinconcept so much that they spend their hard earned money to buy some yes we have (as multiple times explained already forced by old network stuck) relaunched with groestl algo and found out its a unmature instable wallet (because to less testing time avaiable to dedect the major flaws) but we emergency fixed stability issues now we take our time to code a new wallet that will fullfill our expectations show me another coin that would survive such a desaster with 300% value gain compared to pre wallet release people know we are a team not a single dude who might give up people know there is no bigger motivation than to show what u are really able to deliver after a failed first atempt this time we wont hurry we will deliver stable software and tested in every thinkable usecase it might be possible we pre-release a pool only mining patched wallet but even that will need some time people have always the choice stay with usor |

Since your's appears to be working & getting accepted shares, are there any other miners out there to point some hashing at the pool to test with more hash power? I want to update everyone on the progress of things and I'm honest as always just like each team member of Diamond Coin.
I don't want it to be another apologetic message but a frank assessment.
As everyone knows the Block Chain went down last Wednesday (for us it was). As we were working on a new client client for quite some time we thought it would make more sense to release it then and there rather to use hardfork fix on the old wallet and do another hardfork soon after to switch it to Groestl algorithm.
The whole sudden situation caught us with our pants down, but we were convinced everything would work, because it worked in the lab, unfortunately as it turned out soon after it failed in the field.
Some people here accused us of not doing enough testing and, yes we didn't do enough because of the crazy short time frame we had to stick to to deliver a working client for Cryptsy. It was ready by Friday, unfortunately the problem with the database forced us to concentrate on making a patch. After that it turned out that mining pools on stratum do not accept blocks. We had a bit of lax day on Sunday just to have a bit of breathing space as most of us have slept for 4-2h per night over the previous several days. On Monday after talking directly with the pool owners we switched our focus to the code and started analysing its behaviour. We have identified possible sources of problems and now we are rebuilding the code to make it work as it was intended to work form the start. We have our own stratum server and can test any changes confirming it plays nicely so we could be 100% sure we wouldn't see any unpleasant surprises next time.
We have made some changes in the dev team setup which is more optimal and allows for better quality testing. We all agreed that this release in no way meets our quality expectations and to overcome this we decided that we won't limit ourselves with fixed deadlines - we will deliver product that is 100% working with stratum and everything else.
The network is stable now, solo mining is working correctly, coins are transferable, I suspect there would be no problem with setting up working non-stratum 'getwork' mining pool (for the time being), Cryptsy is notified and should be working on implementing the new wallet this week.
I sincerely believe that you as community should not be worried at all, but trust us to put it right. We are working really hard and we won't stop until it's properly done.

The "good" part is PoS is not working in DMD yet, so those investors "have nothing to lose" --- if this could be good thing.
u always lose gathering coinage which u only able gather in your own wallet. POS have nothing to do with gather coinage but with trade in coinage for POS rewards (= called minting) |

Saying that Cryptsy issue is in their hands does not cut it. Sorry, nothing personal here, hopefully just good constructive feedback that is helpful, but if you were working for a multinational, you'd have been sacked by now. It's Friday already, and you've given no more information all week than, we're waiting on Cryptsy!
When I have an issue with someone, be it technical, billing, shipping, whatever, I've got an open ticket, an invoice number, whatever, and contact info. I've got up-to-date status reports on the issue. I've got names and numbers (and e-mails) of the people I'm talking to.
thats the way we tryed it.............. still u see where we are regarding cryptsy a new unknown exchange managed to add dmd in one day we offer every help to cryptsy regarding required files blockexplorer and so on but we cant implement it into exchange we have multiple support tickets running in escalation state towards the cryptsy second level support since over 7 days i was working a few years myself in a second level support job i know how to act to get support we did act right we just didnt get it until yet..... |

The developers should make a presentation of themselves perhaps with some pics. People tend to trust more things/people if they can see them. Just a thought.
hi polanskiman i agree we should and we will but right now we really busy get this coin going in a way as we planed it and we really thankful for any support from community to community to save our resources for dev and management tasks once we out of major pre post and between release stress we will try doing all the stuff thats now on hold guides website update foundation webpage promotion campaign broader exchange acceptance and and and......... im sure we wont be victims of boreout sysdrom soon |

so a new upcoming exchange was able get diamond running i guess we should use it to show cryptsy what business they waste by not get their deposit/withdraws going..... edit: i just checked this sharexcoin exchange he seems to be in heavy development i would give it a few days bevor risc some coins trading there be carefull until we confirm its working i did deposite 100 dmd and no balance arive at exchange until yet once my issue is solved and i can confirm deposite withdrawall and tradning works i give u a update for now i suggest dont use this exchange update my 100 dmd arrived at exchange someone wana try buy a tiny amount and withdraw it please over all exchange looks pretty state opf the art with 2factor auth and so on |

Plus speed does count now since there's a lot of similar projects to DMD like bitbar etc. The first one to be established is going to stick for a long time.
Like litecoin. Really, what does it do any better/different? It's almost like a perfect clone. It was just there first so people still stick to it.
bitbar exist since ages same as diamond we made the mistake once to rank speed release above quality release we wont do it twice.............. as stated multiple times wallet stable network stable ahmed plan to release a proprietary pool solution working with actual wallet this give us any time we need to build the release that diamond deserve and no we wont give a date beside "its done when its done" the only really urgend point is cryptsy and that is not in our hands we offer them any help they need but there is much silence on their side |
