todays update from team progress: we run a testpool with a few modifications in wallet code we analyzing logs and adapting pool and wallet code there is progress in behavior but no full success until yet we will continoue tomorrow once our devs did sleep over it once we get our pool runing we will share how we did it and the modified source/wallets devs sleeping but their brain still working  |

The 5% thing seriously hit me when I read that though. If DMD wants to be a real commodity for storing wealth and sees BTC in use for normal transactions, then think 100-1000 times the price of bitcoin as a target. Or more.
Just calulate how frickin much money the devs get paid if it works.
just calculate how frickin much money u get out of it when u mine dmd and hold them and then say again having a full team of people working to make this coin a success isnt worth u the foundation support share if not u can easy vote against dmd by mining somewhere else and reduce difficulty for people who like the diamond coin setup and keep in mind its only 5% of mining all future pos rewards are not affected at all if u wana avoid creating foundation support by mining mine something else sell it and buy dmd this way u create not foundation support but buy demand there is no way getting ur hands on diamonds without supporting the coin and this is good so and by design a important coin feature |

testnet is non functional, there are 0 connections so people like me have had to remake it in order to make it functional to test with.

Calm the fck down people, give the dev's a break and some time to fix the issues.
Not everything can be served to you in a silver plate, meanwhile try to fix the issues yourselves
our goal was to serve them all on a diamond plate......... i can understand the anger of people and i have to say thx to everyone who help us to support people who need help get solo mining running and so on we have all our resources focused on issues and solution to fix em so our support staff is at the moment not able help at a level as we would try later on everyone who can give answers to questions from new diamond followers i say thx for your help u free our core team resources to focus on the issues that we all want to be solved |

Why didn't you just copy and paste what groestlcoin does?
we not a copycoin we are combatible to the same mining tools because using same mining algorythm thats all we share with groestlcoin i can gurantee we working hard on solving pool mining issues together with pools |

And it's not like they are doing this out the kindness of their hearts anymore. Every block found now earns "someone" 5%. You say you have a full time dev now. I'd cancel his paycheck for this week if I was you...
regarding cancel paycheck when did u last time get a paycheck canceled by ur employer? such things are not done towards a employee maybe with a freelancer but we have a full time dev not a freelancer who leave us after a short time project based contract so what do u think is better a dev abandon a coin or a dev who works full time on it? diamond had two devs in his history who did give up the coin i can gurantee you we wont give up we will deliver what we promised but we (same as u all) are very unhappy that we where not able deliver all at first release sorry for that we working hard to change this |

Lots of people mine at private pools. They aren't secret, just invitation only. If I'm not soloing, I mine on private pools.
yeah but the main question is did someone get a pool running with diamond v2 and mining accepted blocks? if yes we dont need to seek for maybe code related issues on our side if someone have a pool running that works please just say it i dont care if he share how he did it important is just to know if its possible other pools will find out how later too |

I see some new blocks, that apparently originate at pools (as they pay the 5% developer tax).
Who are you guys? Speak up how you made this mess work.
so u say there is a working pool up already and u analyzed it by researching blockexplorer? how ca u dedect a block is mined by a pool there? and who runs a secret pool? |

I seem to be having some issue with the wallet. Here is the error message I get  thx for error report we did have a look into this issue and where able reproduce at least one way to make this happen it seems opening wallet short after close wallet can lead to problem with blockchain we will have a fix for this in one of next wallet releases if u get this error u have to replace ur blockchain with backuped one or the one we give for download (or sync it new but this takes ages) in the time until we release fix please make sure: after close a diamond wallet wait at least 30 sec before start it again |

Truth of the matter is, this change in the algorithm is really not good for small miners. I used to get 10-15 Diamonds per day. I spent two days trying to figure out how to mine groestl, dealt with all the issues we all have, and I've gotten 2 Diamonds since the change. I don't think I can solo mine at the current difficulty - I only have 3 decent graphics cards, probably 16-20 Mh/s total if I use them all for Diamond. And there are no pools that work. Lower fan noise and lower energy consumption sound great, but I'm just not making any profit. Diamond mining is off the agenda for me until something changes.
that have nothing to do with changed algo its more people want to mine so diff is higher mining diff is same as exchange price a indicator of coin value and same as some people stop to buy at at price xy some people stop mining at difficulty xy some others seem to belive diff is still low enought to make this worth their mining time special combined with a calculation of power cost |

i did spend a day with family today so u escaped u a lot of postings from my side
overview of today after i checked all infos from dev team is following
wallet stable and ui fixed
solomining working like a charm on supercool groestl algo (show me a pure solomined coin with 40-70 diff like we have now....)
poolmining still running into troubles multiple pool admins and our dev team investigating this issue
overall its looking way better compared to release day
BUT still its far from what we wanted to deliver
we working hard to deliver what u and we expected to be in allready
the excuse that we had to deliver pre planned launch date isnt suiteable for all problems we did find
we did learn a lot and will improve testprocess and quality checks for future releases

im overwhelmed by your support and im prood of our comiunity working together to solve pool issues

This needs a relaunch, IMHO
All you can do is solo mine, I have been solo mining for a few days now with all these wallet issues. I have a decent amount.
The problem is there are no pools, so if you are able to solo mine and it isnt that hard, but the wallet has been an issue for most people that have all missed out and now the difficulty is just too insane for small miners.
As I said, i been solo mining for a few days and have a decent amount but feel like Ive cheated whilst people waited for a new wallet and didnt keep pushing their existing wallets to open to sync then mine. Lord knows it took me at least half a day to get the wallet to work/sync then mine. Reboot machine and having to reconfigure the fickle wallet back up to solo mine.
Thats just my thoughts on the matter. Not trolling, or attacking anyone.
Unless someone has a working DMD pool ?

Awesome work it is not crashing for me solo mining! Well at least not yet  the other wallet worked for a few hours. I am sure this was a very quick patch just reporting that any of the hover bubbles that pop up appear blank. Edit: They are not blank. Text is just very close to the same color as the bubble. we know its open issue on ui designer pc they where working after compile it was white in white in mouseover we will fix this glitch in another wallet update stability fix was to urgend to wait for ui mouseover fix |
