atomiccat ur solomining settings seems to be ok

thats my output when i force it mione at local wallet because u set wrong password for pool
as u can see it show WU 0.000 at solo mining thats normal as u can see i use -T option so u see more details

if u do solomining u get no feedback from miner beside when u find a block and that can take a few hours or more .....
if ya do solomining with a backuppool u will see the diff adjustments and new block found messages form pool stratum regulary

i use the miner u can find at http://bit.diamonds/mining.html

u said 14 mhash is ur mining power thats at actual diff a handful like 4-5 DMD a day
but at solo mining randomness and luck kick in full
so its still possible have a day and mine zero
and have another day mine 10 dmd.....
over longtime the average will be same as pool mining.........

cryptonit,

Just wondering if you know when my first weeks DMD mining payment will come to me?  Are you holding off due to Cryptsy exchange issues?  If so no biggie.  I understand.

Thanks,

pokeytex

on dmd multipool miningstats u can see something like
Confirmed BTC: 0.05455470 (at least thats my mining stats  Wink )
confirmed BTC are BTC u mined which are already arrived at our multipool and wait for being converted towards DMD

so this days u will see this number grow as a sign ur mining works fine
as soon as we reactivate the cryptsy api engine the automated conversion will start again

people with low mining power will see somedays no increasement in confirmed btc because wafflepool and nicehash only payout after the mining BTC is bigger than send trigger level i think once a week they send our even smaller pieces

any news when cryptsy will be resuming trading for DMD ?

My advice is to submit a ticket with Cryptsy.  If no one sends a ticket to them they don't realize there is a problem.

this!
they know but they prioritize their tasks by demand
no demand for dmd fixed at cryptsy = every other task they have is more important.....

mister1k

its just that easy a old unconfirmed transactions never happend on real blockchain
it can be mining/minting a orphan or on wrong chain or transactions u made/recieve while synced to wrong chain

we explained the mechanics multiple times already

yes we have to say sorry for unstable network last few days but we in process of fixing it and new wallet will be released soon

but that somehow we made ur DMD disappear and we are responsible is just wrong

check every crypto wallet help>about section and read whats written there

"this is experimental software......."

we as foundation not responsible for any coins

foundation task is to improve wallet code and network stability

thats what we do as good as we can

and i have to say we do a damm good job in this hard times

if u disagree there is a easy way to vote

hold/buy coins is u trust in us sell them is u dont trust in us

When I mentioned earlier about the possibility for me to setup a dynamic dns address I was told that a DynDns address as a permanent node was not the image the foundation wanted to give to the public. Thus my comment.
As for the rest of your explanation it make indeed more sense.

for foundation approved nodes i stay with my statement dynDNS address dont fit
danbi gave a technical explaination of some examples where a dynamic IP even with dynDNS is weaker than a true static IP
foundation approved nodes should be represent backbone of diamond network  and not carry any signs of weakness....

and as danbi said already
anyone is allowed use any node in his conf
its a free software u use
noone buy it and everyone free to use it as he like

but for support requests we suggest people following our suggested conf settings
and for that we have foundation approved nodes that are part of our suggested conf settings

Sorry to ask but the two transactions at the top were part of the old chain here(not being accepted?):

http://snag.gy/IGLwc.jpg
seek the tx id in blockexplorer
if u cant find it u minted them in a fork
nothing lost ur coin-age not spend and so ur coins will soon mint again

or u did just mint orphan blocks and stay in correct blockchain which can happen too and is normal behavior

blockchain is selfhealing in that aspect

but the attack we suffered did reduce that selfhealing and made some wallets stick with there private blockchain after mine/mint a orphan block and worst case even promote it to connected peers as true chain

6228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Diamond (DMD) Evolution v 2.0 | NEW wallet, 50% POS Active on: August 04, 2014, 02:42:43 PM
just a short update regarding situation
testing a fix to that kind of attack soon
if it works u can expect a new wallet release soon
its very interesting how the weakness which was abused
is existing in a lot coin but only heavy abused with diamond

i think we should feel proud to attract so much attention
and even more because the only result of this attack will be
increased wallet security and a network layout thats better prepared against future attack attempts

i have to say a big thx to all community members who did stay loyal to their coin
and gave a helping hand wherever it was needed to each other

if u wana leave zeitgeist then still keep coin shortname ZEIT

and call coin ZEIT (without zeitgeist movement)

zeit=time

and there can be lot explaination why this is the coin name
best of all would be the truth

we tryed to convert the zeitgeist movement idea into cryoto world because not supportted by the movement we decided to switch name towards ZEIT only to make clear we not linked to the zeitgeist movement

what exactly means
Quote
18.8 in total down
18.8 dmd missing?

whatever u mined at pools while they where on wrong chain is lost in alterative reality
every mining minting  transaction u recived or sendet on wrong blockchain is not existing in real blockchain

when i said u never lose coins i mean coins u earned/owned on the correct chain wont disappear somehow on the correct chain

i have no time check block explorer for u now but it should be self explained what u can read there

a block can contain data of multiple transactions
reason for transactions towards u from the pool later when u didnt mine there can be they discovered some wrong transactions on a fork and tryed to fix that later on by sending coin again.....

but such questions u have to ask the pool operator if transactions from them towards u look strange to u

1. If you choose to use HEXMINER software, then do not zadig the driver. HEXMINER use default driver provided by windows.

there is no working download link for hexminer software and install guide pdf

Does anyone know whats happening with cryptsy and if coins can be deposited or withdrawn from there?

I withdrew 300 DMD yesterday from cryptsy without issues.

i can confirm withdraw working
so they are on right chain
still deposits dont show up at exchange so they dont forward them from wallet to exchange software
6234  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: TECHNOBIT support tread + customer feedback/240 GHS - 199 EUR - July shipment on: August 03, 2014, 10:25:21 PM
It is problem you installing wrong driver(you can select them in zadig) or wrong cgminer(you by any chance using standard one or HEX16a one) on your error description. If cgminer will not detect it you don't have right driver. If it is detected but you get an error it i wrong cgminer or driver. You need to install winusb...

I think HEX8A should work with any HEXminer from A1 on... Including the one you can download. Unless board changed. It has all HEX8A options. I checked...

I would recommenced you to buy TP-Link and have a friend with some IT background to flesh it for you... Or get that friend to help you set everything up in windows.

click pic for fullsize

i can see nothing wrong........
its just not working under windows 7 64
did try different usb hubs usb ports
restarted multiple time
no matter what i do the usb miners are not dedected in cgminer

Please devs tell me if somethings wrong  Sad
I have been mining Dmd since May, I have more than 3000 dmds before 31-7 but now, after this "event" I have own 1295 dmds Sad(
Im sure Im in right chain because the diff show same as danbi's pool.

1- backup your wallet;
2- use the "checkwallet" command. Normally it should tell you how many coins will be recovered. Normally all those missing.
3- use the "repairwallet" command. You should now see all your coins back.

Please give your feedback.
I tried as you suggested. I am down 18 .
17 transactions. 1 minted. Unconfirmed.
07312014 mined and minted.
The checkwallet cmd gave me back,  passed true..
No change.
http://diamond.danbo.bg:2750/chain/Diamond
enter ur wallet address there u can see exactly what happend with ur balance
incoming andoutgoing transactions

coin never get lost
only u can lose access to them
if u as example forget ur wallet password
or if u transfer them to a wrong address

edit:
what i do if i was trapped in a wrong fork is i make sure i always use a old wallet.dat when i resync
i even used a few times already a virgin (the first day i created my wallet woth zero coins in it) wallet.dat from december and when resync every coin is displayed correct even from subaddresses i created that the old wallet.dat dont even know. thats because all or addresses in one wallet share same secret part so  even a old wallet.dat is able to recover it

6237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★ [ANN] ECCoin (ECC) ★★★ ECCoin - Green Future FORK FIXED UPGRADE NEEDED on: August 03, 2014, 09:37:12 AM
i coded the patch for the forking of the wallet. i can only guarantee that the wallet is on the correct chain. i can not guarantee that mintpal will process your withdrawls. however if you can send to them then it is certain that they can send back to you as well. so as far as movement on the chain goes everything works. if your transactions arent getting proccessed you need to contact mintpal support.

update:
u can use below guide to sync
but later follow guidelines of danbis post:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=580725.msg8170710#msg8170710

following this im still on right chain after long time wallet open and minting

everyone use wallet 2.0.3 its mandatory now!
http://bit.diamonds/download.html
and a good start for sync is the blockchain
http://diamond.danbo.bg/downloads/dmdchain20140731-fast.zip

regarding conf
u delete peers.dat
and u sync with this:

listen=0
noirc=1
connect=193.68.21.19
bantime=600

once synced u stop wallet make a copy of the diamond appdata folder (in case things go wrong in future u have a nice fallback point)

then u change in ur conf

listen=1
noirc=1
addnode=193.68.21.19
bantime=600

and restart wallet

the full diamond.conf i use after full synced:

Quote
rpcuser=diamondrpcsecretpw
rpcpassword=diamondpass
logtimestamps=1
#genproclimit=10
listen=1
daemon=1
server=1
noirc=1
rpcport=17772
rpcallowip=192.168.1.*
addnode=193.68.21.19
maxconnections=50
bantime=600

# to disable PoS
#reservebalance=9999999

# our "test" net
# for more logging
debug=1
#printcoinage=1
#printcreation=1
#printpriority=1
#printstakemodifier=1
#printcoinstake=1
#printfee=1
#printjunk=1
replace rpcallowip=192.168.1.* with 127.0.0.1 or first 3 numbers of ur  local lan if u as example allow solo minting of another rig towards this wallet

Devs, will DMD be listed on Poloniex, C-Cex or AllCoin?

DMD isnt listed there since over a year why they should add it now?
aim must be fix current situation
later we can seek alternative exchanges
but cryptsy did nothing wrong now
its a logical and a clever move to stop deposit and withdraw if a coin network is under attack
6240  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: TECHNOBIT support tread + customer feedback/240 GHS - 199 EUR - July shipment on: August 03, 2014, 09:02:59 AM

If you follow that instruction it should work. You missed something... I'm guessing you didn't replace drivers with winusb or used wrong cgminer

This is old link. You have new one on the page

the only working link isnt for HEX8A1

and yes i followed the https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=569689.0 guide step by step
