Heh, 5 claimers with  6,538. DC  has same voice as 5 with 2,512,788. Wager, there is no fairness there cjmapope?

hee hee
honestly it was just my own opinion that basically rewarding those who have gambled the most was unfair
in the end it's your coin, but in the end it's also my choice to not advocate  gambling and/or being rewarded for gambling
i will still support how i can, but only so much as my conscience allows ;p

But i do see that they hold the same weight voting wise, and i do like seeing that
(which was your initial point, but atlas my basic understanding of counterparty voting mislead me ;p)
try not be so wound up, i know it's hard with people not shitting straight rainbows on this idea, but it will be ok ;;Wink)))

To be clear, voting is based on token amounts not number of transactions. If this system was based on number of transactions, someone could send 1 vote token to a million addresses and sabotage the vote.

as of block 401489:
1DARKCLAMxDooGXXXXXXXXXXXXXXZPbYip has 0.05843282% of the vote with 6,538.03037584 tokens.
1DARKCLAMxBURNXXXXXXXXXXXXXXVvbpkg has 22.45772632% of the vote with 2,512,788.27224520 tokens.
Well i dont agree with that, it should be with jnique address voting and counting only the ones that got the initial distribution.

Such a system wouldn't be fair given each person could have created as many addresses as they wanted before the drop. So one person could end up voting more than once, skewing the results. Voting proportional to distribution (and by definition, personal risk taken on) is the only fair way to vote.
the 3 biggest whales would just vote to burn and it would end up in a burn whatever the other 98% want. Besides there is not many reasons someone would use many xcp wallets for several reasons. Think avout the high number of indonesians with low wager, shouldnt they have a vote? Hell lets put this under vote too LOL

I agree, you already see on the burn vote that some people with major amounts voted to burn, 5 votes for giving it to doog and 5 to burn a difference of 21% in tokens.

So if itś based on the amount of tokens, you could burn them already and move on to the next step.

Just my opinion...
Yeah small players got no chance since clearly big holders wont want more distribution (even myself but i abstain from voting). Actually even if it was a joke while working i thinked that we could put that under vote here in the thread, we will sort this out by tonight.

Only 10 votes till now, 5 for burn 5 for continuing. The voting rate is way smaller than the claiming one, comeon guys youll regret later not caring.

I voted Smiley
Maybe you can ask if the btct link can be added to the header of just-dice?
I guess i could get the ad up but the thread and most info can be accesed trough darkclam.com, most of jd users know about DC. Eitherway we will eventually make the ad again i guess.

Im not sayin they a scam but their ICO worship system may end up with a very likely effect.

well its's halving year, Bitcoin needs a strong support or face a supply-side consolidation. It all depends on the way Ethereum bursts. Slowly over time, or abruptly.

...there is better things out there.

Do you mean altcoins? Like what? Litecoin? Dogecoin? Monero? Of those, afaik only Monero doesn't have a mining algorithm that isn't currently mineable with ASICs.

Please don't tell me you fell for the hype of Ethereum, MaidSafe, Factom, etc..

I feel for DC and CLAM, if wanted it can be done right Smiley. There is not much it can be done to btc by a small community but im sure something can be done for them.

1730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Counterparty Protocol and Client (built on Bitcoin) - Official Thread on: March 06, 2016, 12:16:54 AM

What does it mean when we say Initialize Balances? It may not be clear from the initial introduction above and it does sound like a new concept.

It's not a new concept. See https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Proof_of_burn. Certainly, it's similar to what Nxt and Mastercoin did (but better).

Right now no one owns any XCP, which we need a "fair, distributed and transparent" way of creating and distributing. Requiring people to publicly "destroy" BTC is a good way of doing that.
Destroying btc is cool, but gambling till death to wager more is better.
1731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLAM] CLAMs, Proof-Of-Chain, Proof-Of-Working-Stake, a.k.a. "Clamcoin" on: March 05, 2016, 08:24:23 PM
Clamcoin shits 1440 new coins every day for ever. Call it what you will. Digging was attacked because the current holders weren't making money off it, but the true problem of Clamcoin is fine because the holders are currently earning off of it solidly. Grossly greedy... but it was like that from the start so who am I to complain.

Clam will not and can not survive unless it is linked to endless shitting fiat. Bitcoin can not and will not fill empty voids forever.

Sorry but i dont think its a bad thing to earn of something, im pretty sure you earned your cut, also im sure that most of the holders right now are in a pretty bad position. Im sure CLAM will get in much better shape soon after people releases their services and the chain gets tuned.

Hmm such a nice number, 1440.

Since all the polemic regarding this ill refund the voting fee to everyone that votes the day the voting is closed.

That seems like it would e a big ass mess. To only refund the people that vote on the last day.

I'm not going to vote, i dont care what you all do with it
Not really a big mess, i mean its easy to see which adresses voted, and i dont think everyone will vote, besides is a small amount if i take it that way, lets say 200 claimers, .0002 each its like .04, i think its worth as long as people stop finding excuses.

its 0.0005btc to vote.
A bit more than i expected, yet i still dont believe the whole 211 holders will vote, i wont retract.

Edit: i just saw what you were saying DarkClam. No, everyone that claimed and wants it will get refunded the fee just that wont be refunded till we finish voting.

there has to be a free way for all of us to vote. I agree
Its the easier way, im not making a poll here, or any user could vote. Im thinking about sending the fee to everyone.
1736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [MOJO] Mojocoin - 15% pure PoS | Wallets | Rokos OS for Pi | IoT | Roadmap on: March 04, 2016, 07:12:20 PM
Why not send ICO and initial NXT stakes to participants right now? People will stake coins, network will be animated, new participants will jump on in order to get early coins and also stake.

The short answer is that there needs to be a fair start for trading for all parties. If I start disseminating coins now people will start trading. I will talk to the exchanges and towards the end of the ICO I will agree a date with the exchanges so that the moment the distribution is done trading will open. I think that maybe the Nxt / MOJO swap coins would be sold at below ICO price and may undermine the process. I would be patient for a while longer. We have some good promo work imminent and also some updates to do.

I am open to discuss this though if anyone else has an opinion and in particular if you have invested in the ICO.

I believe the normal way for an ICO is to distribute after the investment round closes. And, we may release another version of the wallet before the end of the ICO.
Interesting, you have some experience there, i didnt counted that factor and now its a bit annoying, i love the idea of being able to stake on a phone.

i am extremely interested in buying clam and investing portion of it in JD as i believe there is something in this coin after the digger issue got settled

i would look in to buying some coins once i get my btc in which is in a span of few days

Today its up and i Hope good days are coming for clams Smiley
Remember that future digs may happen yet i still believe its a good investment which could be vastly improved if users spend their energy for the coin instead of against(when themselves are part of it).
how many clams you need to stake ? and how many stake you get and how long before getting stake ?
thanks for the info
Tecnically you can stake with any amount, yet it will depend if you stake solo or in a pool, 1 clam per stake 1 stake per minute. Investing in j-d or a site alike will help you avoiding the staking solo variance yet it has a small fee (10%).
can you send a link off that site to invest ? is it safe to use ? im mining since yesterday clam so wanna have some more information thanks for the answers !
Reading the thread helps but check just-dice.com , you can ask questions in chat but id strongly recommend you to check FAQ first.

I tought i should stop following this thread to avoid spoilers, then i realised that it would be better to just watch whats left :3, gonna enjoy this.
What is your best and badass arc in OP ? Cheesy

Water 7/Enies Lobby is the best Arc for me in OP. It was something that rarely happens in one piece. And most importantly part when Ussopp's conflict with Luffy to be engaging with Going Merry. Damn that fight sense was so epic just like Batman vs Superman, but Luffy won in the end.
i damn hated water 7, enies was awesome yeah.
