1541  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Theymos: “Bitcoins Belonging to Satoshi Should Be Destroyed” on: May 19, 2016, 02:23:40 PM
huge fraction of coins fall into the hands of thieves eager to dispose of them would be a neutral or transient event.

By that same logic, Satoshi's 1M coins should be destroyed right now. Don't you see how faulty your logic is? This "future situation" already exists. At any moment, his private keys could be stolen, or he could decide to dump all his coins. They are his coins. He should be the only one to decide what to do with them. That is a core principle that Bitcoin was founded upon.
I think those coins should stay as they are,i doubt satoshi would/could spend them all.
If bitcoin ever goes POS then they would be an insurance against governments that will try to achieve 51% of the network.

The dev should come and develop darkclam instead, ill remind that there is a devfund.

If he bailed on his own project, would you really want him to be part of your team?
Nope, id just want him to develop it, after that legit devs will come alone, and he will have some dcs.

If he comes back, the potential here is much greater than making a few dcs.
I doubt but everyone with their beliefs.

Why would it break btc to go to sha 512 or such? Not sure if thats possible but im pretty sure it would be necessary after a while.
Changing the cypto is not the issue.
I take issue with this part of his statement:
After some point the current private keys shouldn't be honored anymore.  Anyone that misses the cutoff effectively lose their Bitcoins.
THAT is the part I disagree with and would break/change/kill Bitcoin.

I think its logical that sha256 will become vulnerable eventually but i also tought its logical that bitcoin should and will evolve to avoid this.

0) I care most about eternal life; as such I don't see where the topic of old Bitcoin private keys matters much.

1) Within this pre-eternal lifetime, I do care some about my Bitcoins; are they vulnerable?  Can one imagine a quantum computer (or anything else) that could crack my private keys?  If so then when (the sooner, the better) should we develop a system that can resist it?  It seems to me it will take an active step to migrate to it.  After some point the current private keys shouldn't be honored anymore.  Anyone that misses the cutoff effectively lose their Bitcoins.
Off topic crap aside, No, you are wrong.  It is not possible to do what you suggest without changing/breaking what Bitcoin is and what it stands for.  Doing what you suggest would permanently harm Bitcoin.

Bitcoins of satoshi should stay where they are for few reasons that could be key in a future.
Edit: yet i still dont understand how would they erase them lol, thermos-delirium.
1548  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin dropped to $1, what you do? on: May 19, 2016, 12:43:46 PM
Nope. it will never happen. because BTC become a need of many people now a days. As u say what will i do if its happen then i will surely buy more Btc.
I agree, not to mention the dark services but the gambling.
1549  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin dropped to $1, what you do? on: May 19, 2016, 12:15:36 PM

1552  Economy / Exchanges / Re: yobit.net is a scam ? on: May 19, 2016, 10:50:22 AM
yo bit still alive, not turn into scam, the website still alive nor get down, withdrawal back to normal, i think it's just a minor issue experienced by OP,so why this topic still alive even 2 months had left and maybe OP get his money back after making this topic,so ,nothing to be wondering about
Same shitty excuse to close the thread and avoid truth to be spoken by users that had experiences with the site yet not involved to be supporting it by convenience.
1553  Economy / Exchanges / Re: yobit.net is a scam ? on: May 19, 2016, 06:40:47 AM
I think this maybe a personal problem of yours, I withdraw almost everyday bitcoins from yobit site and so far the withdrawals have always been instant to my address. If your withdrawal is delayed there might be a small temporarily problem which will be fixed soon enough, there's no need to panic.
how can it be personal and at the same time "temporary small problem", i realised that all this group of yobit promoters lack of common sense most of the times and try to deviate the subject or make it look like meh.

I hate most religions but if you want peace become buddhist.
1557  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: May 18, 2016, 04:00:58 PM
Anyway.

Crypti whitepaper and Lisk whitepaper have an 80% similarity. It's basically a copy-paste. Run it through a scanner yourself. Lisk brings absolutely nothing new to the table, hence my surprise at the whole ''developers will LOVE lisk'' hype. Show me some genuine enthusiasm for Crypti, then, considering it claimed:

Crypti is the first decentralized application solution written entirely in Node.js. This opens up the
Crypti ecosystem to thousands of current developers with no additional skills necessary. Any
web developer who is already familiar with JavaScript and Node.js can immediately jump in and
begin building decentralized applications from day one

Where are Crypti killer apps? Why is it only 1 cent per Crypti? Why do developers give zero fucks about Crypti? Don't even begin about Lisk having better funding. It has nothing to do with it. Outside developers are not dependent on funding, they will use a platform if it works or ignore it if it has zero added value.

This is one major concern that's never been addressed. All I will get in response is ''don't be mad because you missed out''.

Lisk is crypty yes, improved and fixed. Also its way more fair now.
1558  Economy / Exchanges / Re: yobit.net is a scam ? on: May 18, 2016, 03:56:48 PM
Yobit is no scam at all I think yobit is one of the best things, where you can do things with the bitcoin for sure.
Also yobit sometimes has some payout issues but they will resolve it soon and sometimes its because of the confirms.
No one cares, there is way better exchanges that dont smell fishy.

I'm having the same troubles right now :-( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1476816.0

I was very impressed with YoBIT up until this point.. hopefully they get my account closed and my money back to me soon but reading this it sounds like it could be any time between now and 2116AD give or take a century lol.

Has anyone here not had their funds returned to them? If so please post and let us know. Also if anyone has any thoughts on how I can speed things up a bit I'd love to hear them and I'm sure others would as well.

Thanks in advance! :-)

I doubt you wont get your funds they make a really nice income off people with all their supporters involved and spreading the word of their bull-shit-coins.
1559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [DC] Dark Clam | VM | POBS | J-D wager | Looking for more devs. on: May 18, 2016, 07:28:57 AM
I would help you out for free, but my skills are an embarrassment in general..
You can always join the developement slack, eventually when devs gather you could learn better with "us".
1560  Economy / Services / Re: MINING WITH FREE ELECTRICITY!! on: May 17, 2016, 07:40:38 PM
Hory shet, so there is people that actually do this? I dont pay electricity either but just because its included in rent, i would love to do this too,im also willing to be completly transparent, i live in sweden.

Sweden, Norway in the past and Iceland sometimes have the power fee within the house rental, but they are most time limited.
One S7 is supposed to run on a 10A fuse (@220/230V).
In fact you can let run 2x S7 on a 16A fuse, but it has to be a fuse with special starting current. (sluggish is maybe the word; didnt know Tech. word for it - I just know how the power curve has to look while turning on the power - not a normal house fuse!)
If you use a normal 16A fuse and your power maybe went down for maintaince (can happen anywhere in the world) and the power will come back after 1 minute ... BOOM! ... dark Wink
Maybe if you can do a delay of 30s between them it will be fine, too. (SSH / Telnet => Linux => possible without hardware costs)

1) How many dedicated power you have free?
2) You want to stay living there? Think on the daily peaks in the morning or afternoon you will need for a normal day (without mining). Either you do a shutdown if you need more power for yourself and an automated power on if you free the power again --- or you have to calculate fix with the peaks!  Cry

But ofc if you have free 10A / 16A / 32A --- use it for 1x, 2x or 4x Antminer S7.
Even if it gets more and more unprofitable -> without any power costs you cannot loose.
And at the end it can warm up your house a bit on winter days (if you connect it smart).
You cannot LIVE next to those miners. Your ears will start to bleed Tongue
You need a special room / downstairs or a container in your garden Wink
Yup, basement, but its not state rented so i dont want to burn the rentor, ill start with one for now and then if he is okay with it i think i have some places to do it.
