1901  Economy / Gambling / Re: www.chopcoin.io - The new interactive Bitcoin game! on: February 11, 2016, 11:30:45 PM
I agree with the above, the problem with this game is that it will become very easy to cheat in the near future.
This is not about the problem in the future. The problem is now.
For a new player without much experience the game does not make any sense. Even Faucet level is occupied by cheating players.
And unfortunately I have no idea how to solve this problem.
It is a pity, because the game is very addictive.
It could be a bot game where bets are on best bots.
1902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: February 11, 2016, 10:41:27 PM
Some people just watch from th outside and create a negative statements.
People who were not experienced using bitcoin also believe things said
by those useless and fear to get involved into the bitcoin community.

Wait, are you talking about this?

mainly? price is not rising..

and sure, it is still quite hard to use, complex, slow...there is really not point to use bitcoin these days, except you are tech savvy guy or buying drugs over internet..
I agree with you about price is not rising, but "hard to use, comples , slow " What can make it difficult to use bitcoin ? and I think it is more difficult to use bitcoin than paypal. And slow ? send bitcoin from Asia to America just in 2 sec or less. Cheesy

If you already own BTC, and if the person you wish to transact with accepts BTC, but those are pretty hefty ifs.
Buying BTC requires sending a bunch of personal info to some shady exchange (which may disappear/get h4xx0red), and keeping IRL money there, waiting for a good buy opportunity.

Yes, you may bypass this intrusive procedure by setting up IRL "meetup" (usually in some poorly-lit, rat-infested dead-end alley, behind the dumpster, for "security reasons"), but this can easily turn into a rape/robbery,

Of course, there's also the "why would I wanna go through all this trouble just to avoid buyer protection/cash back/perks/free loan, for up to a year, from some legacy credit card company?" question, but that's just trolling...
What if localbitcoins? Besides, why meeting in a shady place is considered safer?

You say it in a way that people wont use bitcoin unless it keeps rising, yet we all remember few months ago it went under 200 and since then it doubled. Slow? Its still faster than any bank you may use and it will adapt to faster confirmations.
And no point to use bitcoin? Not using bitcoin feels like being the whore of your government/bank.

I was not sure if that was the latest or not. The version I have is having trouble syncing. I have to continually close it out and restart to get it to progress.
Dooglus made a bootstrap that he updstes from time to time its here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=623147.msg9772191#msg9772191
1906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: February 11, 2016, 08:25:23 AM
1. Bitcoin price dropped , dropped and dropped
2. People starts thinking bitcoin is a commodity not money
3. Hard to mined
4. Noone accept bitcoin (Bitcoin merchants is not available anymore)
In europe BTC is a currency, if you use it as currency you dont have to care about mining. I dont see the none accept bitcoin thing as real, it may be hard to find off line but its possible, exactly what i said before if people started accepting in in their bussiness it would be different.
you're right, then from it before using bitcoin, we have to understand first of all about bitcoin, because if you plunge into the world of coins, it would be a lot of coins that have sprung up in addition bitcoin and it will make some people stop to use and learn about bitcoin
Heh i didnt thinked about that, but after you understand btc its easy, they all kinda the same, you kinda right tough.

1909  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: February 11, 2016, 06:45:53 AM
I realised bitcoin may seem hard to be understood by new users. Besides that there is need for more physical services to use bitcoin.
1910  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are domain name buyers so reluctant to use Bitcoin? on: February 11, 2016, 06:43:14 AM
Well the guy has just agreed to buy the name for $2000, and I offered to sell it for 5 Bitcoin. It's going through escrow, so there isn't a privacy issue.

Once again - this isn't about domain name registrations, but about the sale of already registered domain names.
You got hard on me there, i never bought a registered domain so i have no idea, hence what i said before gets kinda nullified, sorry.

Btw, good luck getting the site back up.

Thanks.

I put up a temporary placeholder site here: https://just-dice.com/ and that's where I'll post updates.
I miss JD Sad

Don't worry, we are not gone, we're just temporarily unavailable until dooglus completes the new server and OS installs, updates, etc.. As Arnold once said "I'll be back"

1917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you guys realize that the first coin WITHOUT A BLOCKCHAIN is about to launch? on: February 09, 2016, 04:45:19 PM
For how long is that gonna last? It would be interesting but blockchain is the nice thing about bitcoin.
1918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When gambling makes you cry. on: February 09, 2016, 11:32:09 AM
When you turn few clams in few hundreds few tims and yolo every time and lose the yolo. Much butthurt after gambling indeed.
1919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When gambling makes you cry. on: February 08, 2016, 08:43:42 PM
LMAO at your "safe margins". It is what happens in a long run:D If you want to be lucky, make a single, big bet and see if you are.
This guy has it right. I dont gamble that much anymore. I believe strategies and such things can only make it worse, i personally do it however i feel as long as its not over 49.5 yet i usually dont play over 24.75% (4x).
Edit: the guy under, what i and bearex meant is basically that doing all in at 2x and quit after result is the best thing you can do.
1920  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : now with added CLAMs : Play or Invest on: February 08, 2016, 04:19:52 PM
I wish we could keep at least a 25x offsite in the end, even after the staking only option is implemented.
It would have been a good average regarding the results of the poll.

As much as I trust Just-Dice, I'll always be more comfortable having the majority of my coins secured in my wallet Grin.

But overall I welcome the changes. They were definitely needed. 100x and even 50x multipliers were way too much. Good work as always doog.

All the utility i saw of the full offsite is to get more profit than investors that believe that it can easily end in a loss, since no bet over 30k was made if all investors were 1x the profit/loss per bet would be the same as if all investors were 100x, yet if all the investors were offsite 0 the house edge should have harder effect since limiting bets. I think no one but dooglus and atleast on the beginning used the feature "properly".
Edit: not sure about the "harder house edge" part so correct me if im wrong.
