841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][0.9.1] Truckcoin - TRK - 200% PoS Interest! New Dev: Listed on Bittrex on: July 17, 2014, 04:09:18 PM
I am done. I had people complain about it via pm, chat and in this thread so I am not going to do anything with TRK. I have sold my trk and no longer care what happens to it.

Could you please change the OP and send PM to mods to lock/close this thread then? Having 2 threads for the one coin is a real mess.

Maybe I'm wrong but in my opinion this new topic now hurts TRK much more than delisting from Bittrex.

You are wrong, delisted from Bittrex would be the death of this coin.
It will get delisted from Bittrex eventually anyway, regardless of support, devs, etc. Just because Bittrex loves and keeps only high volume coins.
When delisted from Bittrex TRK will continue happily at https://www.allcoin.com/trade/trk_btc

Bittrex is not the best exchange for Truckcoin anyway, it's mostly pump and dump coins exchange.

To say I am hurting trk is a big joke. It would be delisted from bittrex if it wasn't for me. The price would be less then 10 sat. That is where it was before I said I would help the coin. I will make a new thread tomorrow and close this one. I will also edit my post in the other thread directing you here.

There are a lot of coins doing great without Bittrex and TRK is a nice high pos coin with good potential.

I will make a new thread tomorrow and close this one. I will also edit my post in the other thread directing you here.
It would be nice, thanks.

Hello I wanted to be fair and transparent to everyone and let them know what is going on with this coin. Right now I am looking at doing a Hard fork launch to a new coin just like HYP. Except some of the parameters would be different. The PoS interest would be 100% with halving every year. The min coin age for stake would be lowered to 3 hours. The name and ticker would be changed. The reason for this is because we are wanting to change so many things we would be creating a new coin and forcing everyone to have that new coin. Since I would be changing the rules and some will not like it I dont want to force them in to these big of changes. The plan is just like HYP you will need to have your coins in your wallet at the time of the fork in order to get the new coin. At the time of the fork we will create 2 block chains and 1 will remain TRK and the old developer will be still responsible for what ever happens to that coin. I will be responsible for the new coin. This gives you a choice to participate in getting the new coin at no additional cost if you already own TRK coin.

If you have any suggestions for a name please let me know. We have not set a date for this but I hope it can be done with in the next week. Please stay tuned for more info.

Why not open a new topic for your coin as Presstab did for HyperStake and leave TRK as is?
What was the point opening this "new dev" topic for Truckcoin if you have no plans to support TRK and just want to fork it?

You just hurting Truckcoin doing this.
For example, I hold a good amount of TRK because of 200% PoS and not interested in your fork, why did you hijack TRK topic and now advertising your fork here?

It seems like we just got another fork -
right now grw.acidpool.com and grw.blockx.info are at 593090
getblockhash 593090
000000011be8c3e99e0baffb7100161e7568a5cf787cbbe7d6045678b40de8b5

my home pc win wallet and grw.multi-pool.info are at 593107
from my pc wallet -
getblockhash 593090

So right now grw.acidpool.com shows Net Hashrate 27.31 MH/s and grw.multi-pool.info which i think on the older daemon version shows Net Hashrate 100.87 MH/s

Yes, grw.multi-pool.info not use the latest source for daemon

Well, new version also shows weird Est. Avg. Time per Block in MPOS - 1 min 55 sec so i switched the pool back to the older daemon just to be on the safe side.
847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [RE-ANN] GrowthCoin PoW/PoS - 100% per year - Version 1.3.0.0 on: July 12, 2014, 12:21:21 PM
I've upgraded daemon at grw.acidpool.com today and found that the latest version shows totally different net hashrate.
New version shows "netmhashps" : 27.30817205 and the older one which I still have on another server shows "networkhashps" : 100869782
So right now grw.acidpool.com shows Net Hashrate 27.31 MH/s and grw.multi-pool.info which i think on the older daemon version shows Net Hashrate 100.87 MH/s
Just wondering which is the correct one?

We shouldn't forget that PoS is first meant to protect and carry on the blockchain, so if someone never opens their wallet to support the blockchain, he could be "taxed" for it.
Maybe it's a good idea to base PoS reward on wallet online time?
e.g. if during block maturity period wallet was online 24/7 all the time it gets 100% of PoS reward but if wallet was offline for some time reward decreases accordingly.

For example if PoS rate is 150% and wallet was online all the time block gets full 150% PoS reward, but if it was online only 6 hours/day it gets only 37.5%, etc.

People will be motivated to keep their wallets online and also we will be safe from sleeping "millionaire" accounts sudden huge pos reward dump.

with HBN at 100% and GRW at 100%, it's like we ride the same bus... so we could crank up the volume a tiny bit to 150% or be crazy and jump it to 1000% just for the sake of Grrrrowing Smiley
1000% probably will kill GRW value very fast. Increase to 150% or so could be a good idea though Smiley

the client doesn't sync past block 417248...

I had the same problem but today wallet synced just fine.

right now it's at 423524 -
getblockhash 423524

now i get this...also seems that i have no coins in the wallet after re sync oO

When fully synced try to execute 'repairwallet' command in the console window then restart the wallet.
I had the same issue - all coins were gone after re-sync but all went back to normal after repairwallet.

I started add request topic at Cryptsy forums - https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/4000279240
Please support it there  Smiley

Also sent a request to support email, they replied "I have submitted your coin to our development team who will review it to see if it meets our requirements for addition to the Cryptsy exchange."

I would like to kick start the cryptsy donation box but I am a bit worried I might be the only one. I was hoping to get some members of the community to help pitch in as well, if we all pitch in together we can get listed on another exchange which will help me to buy some more GRW as well as sell some our stakes to new investors. I would love to donate as long as someone else will donate with me with the condition that someone else will donate if the last person donates. This way we can all see and actually raise enough for the fund. What do you guys think? Is anyone keen enough to donate and help get listed on cryptsy?

I will donate too. The top priority for now is to get GRW added to Cryptsy coin voting https://www.cryptsy.com/coinvotes/
856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TEKcoin PoS/PoW on Cryptsy! 30 days 40% Interest on: June 11, 2014, 01:43:22 PM
I also don't see thundertoe as any sort of ogre. I like both men, at least so far as I've dealt with them. But my only real care about it is TEK.
I would appreciate public answer from thundertoe, more comprehensive than the last one. Reason for this is what we experience with Mintcoin at the moment. Don't give me a taste of déjà vu by playing the silent dev, thundertoe. I do not want you to say that someone is right or someone is wrong. I want to acknowledge the issue (and describe how you understand it) and state what you will do so that TEK (and TEK holders!) is in no danger. Simply said, showing you are still in the loop Smiley

People appreciate reactivity. Silence brings FUD.

Again, please stop spreading FUD out of nothing! sorry but it's you who bring FUD here, not silence.

presstab get angry at thundertoe and deleted his repo with some minor wallet improvements - that's all what happened concerning TEK.
why you keep posting nonsence about "saving TEK", "certain event",  etc.? TEK is fine, stop the FUD.
857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TEKcoin PoS/PoW on Cryptsy! 30 days 40% Interest on: June 11, 2014, 12:23:01 PM
I've talked with presstab. What he told me is really concerning. But contrary to him, I believe TEK can be saved. Here's how:

- Should a "certain event" happen, don't panic sell. Remember this in the months to come.
- Sell 25% of your staking every month (this holds true to any high-PoS, not just TEK).
- Do whatever you can to get TEK get more widespread. The more widespread, the less sensible it will be to what I heard

David,
I do appreciate what you bring to the table, but this kind of FUD without context is only harmful to the community and further promotion of the coin. If there is an imminent threat, we should be discussing it and possible solutions. All I can envision is a hard fork, not the end of the world, or a whale dumping their holdings, which would only create a buying opportunity for serious investors like myself. If there is some other imminent threat, please share it or refrain from such speculation. Also, if we want to get this coin on another exchange, like Poloniex, we need to avoid further bickering and affirm the developer. Just my opinion.

There is no problem with TEK. Coin runs just fine, wallet v1.1 is fine and up to date, actually there is a very little difference between v1.1 and v1.2
I talked with presstab too and there is nothing "really concerning". Please don't spread FUD, there is nothing to "save TEK" from.
858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bottlecaps 2.0 UPDATE REQUIRED - HARDFORK JULY 4 2014 to 200% Annual PoS on: June 10, 2014, 08:57:54 PM
I've already updated OP but I did not see that there are new compiled versions of the wallet yet.  If someone can give me links to these I'll update the OP.

Here is v2.0 compiled for windows - https://github.com/Tranz5/bottlecaps/releases/download/2.0/BottleCaps-qt_2.0.zip
859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TEKcoin PoS/PoW on Cryptsy! 30 days 40% Interest on: June 10, 2014, 04:52:18 PM
What did you acheive by deleting the source code? Im guessing nothing but it does complicate things for people whp are actually in tek?

Nothing is more complicated, I just compiled the real source code (mine was just a working repo that would push major versions back to maxxine) and it works great. There was still work to be done with my repo before it was good for public consumption so I just took it down to avoid any confusion.

And now we don't even have the source for the latest windows build around.
Win wallet version is 1.2 , maxxine version is only 1.1
I understand you have some disagreements with thundertoe and of course you have the full right to delete your work but why hurt the community?

860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TEKcoin PoS/PoW on Cryptsy! 30 days 40% Interest on: June 10, 2014, 03:09:29 PM

Oneline TEK install on Debian-based:
Code:
apt-get install qt5-qmake libqt5gui5 libqt5core5 libqt5dbus5 qttools5-dev-tools && mkdir ~/cryptos ; cd ~/cryptos && mkdir TEK ; cd TEK && wget https://github.com/presstab/TEK/archive/v1.2.tar.gz && tar -xvf v1.2.tar.gz && cd TEK-1.2 && qmake-qt5 tekcoin-qt-linux.pro && make && ln -s ~/TEK/Tekcoin-qt ~/Desktop/TEK
Arch-based should be similar, just replace apt-get install with pacman -Ss

This is great, David. We should capture this and put it to a wiki on the TEK website. The more Linux users the better.

But we need to restore TEK source files first - https://github.com/presstab/TEK/ repo is deleted now...

Will it create the fork coin if I use the sources from the front page?? https://github.com/maxxine/TEK

This source will work fine on the correct chain, it's just an older version. But we still need to find and restore the latest one.
