Oneline TEK install on Debian-based: apt-get install qt5-qmake libqt5gui5 libqt5core5 libqt5dbus5 qttools5-dev-tools && mkdir ~/cryptos ; cd ~/cryptos && mkdir TEK ; cd TEK && wget https://github.com/presstab/TEK/archive/v1.2.tar.gz && tar -xvf v1.2.tar.gz && cd TEK-1.2 && qmake-qt5 tekcoin-qt-linux.pro && make && ln -s ~/TEK/Tekcoin-qt ~/Desktop/TEK Arch-based should be similar, just replace apt-get install with pacman -SsThis is great, David. We should capture this and put it to a wiki on the TEK website. The more Linux users the better. But we need to restore TEK source files first - https://github.com/presstab/TEK/ repo is deleted now...

I am getting a page not found when I go to DL wallet. Is the link broken?
wow it looks like Presstab deleted TEK from his repo does someone has a copy?

I am going to try this coin out. It sounds interesting. I wonder how hard it is to use the source code.
the wallets work you don't need to modify. if you want to modify the source code, its similar to modifying any coin code. did you have a specific modification in mind? I want to change it so that I can get 100% every month. You better change it to get 10000% every month, why only 100 ??

is there a block explorer for this coin?
I'm on a pool that has ALL of the network hash but blocks are missing - how can that be?
hmmmm.
Why do you think that pool has has ALL of the network hash? I'm solo mining CAPs right now, also i see at least 2 pools with live miners.

I would need a feedback from the community.
I said this already but I think now is the time to take position.
I believe starting a new thread for this conversation would give us better control over the OP and changes could be made easier and faster.
My concern is that this would be a third thread on GRW. A lot of people still don't know that we are reviving this coin so I'm afraid that if we start a new thread, it might confuse more people.
So I'm asking you guys what you think about that
Thanks
I think we definitely need a new [RE-ANN] thread with clean and nice looking OP. GRW is resurrected now and runs great with the new wallet, it's time to move further. i think we do not need a new thread ,but change the first page of the thread, let the first page nicer and professional. Unick has no control over OP of this thread, so it takes too much time to change something there, will hurt the coin on the long run.

tertius993 and noise23 ...
What would you suggest your additional funds being used for ?
Increasing bounties ? A working faucet ? Additional development funds ?
Development is the top priority for now, I think it would be good to allocate more funds for it. We need to get someone to review the code, probably increase the block time, check PoS algo, add Coin Control, etc. To get V really going we need a new stable version first. I'm wondering what is the real current PoS rate for V, it's definitely much more than 10% per annum
|
|
|
I'll donate 100,000 V too.

i can not run the new wallet on my win XP。 it says:error loading blkindex.dat. you need to delete your old blk0001.dat and blkindex.dat files and re-sync the wallet.

Believing that the dev is long gone and believing he'd ever return to release an update might have lost interest or has bigger projects to attend to and believe it was high time long time ago he did, yup everyone who's interested on GRW will need to update since already the network is stalled by the previous client , no mining , no sending or receiving , no confirmation of blocks , we've done some code updates to prevent negative Retargets in the future as per suggested almightyruler , he is credited for the same as well as getting mining fixed temporarily earlier and suggested and also predicted that the network will stall again if a proper update is not released as well as adopted.
New Wallet (Updated to version 1.2.1) *Checkpoints Added *Negative Retarget Fixed (courtesy of almightyruler) *version Updates Posted *Community Backed Development Announced
So all in all everyone who has GRW or is interested in the crypto , traders and everyone who has GRW on their wallets who were unable to anything before and wants to trade now will need to update.
Is it the same Growthcoin or is a new launch which honours the existing balances? OP is outdated, wallet version 1.2.1 is not compatible with current blockchain. Current wallet version is 1.3.0 Source: https://github.com/iamunick/growthcoinWindows binary: https://sourceforge.net/projects/philosopherstone/files/Misc_win32_qtclients/https://www.dropbox.com/s/l3n8nanx83wt4la/GrowthCoin-1.3.0.BETA-win32.zipBlockchain re-download is required.

Hey guys here are the new commits to the source. I activated the DNS seeds witch greatly improves the get connection time when the client is freshly installed or the peers.dat file deleted. I managed to get connected within seconds with a fresh install... no config file to mess with I have setup a dns seed host (seed.grw.blockx.info). I plan to make it an automated process so the host can scan for good nodes to connect to in realtime. If someone wants to host another dns seed host for redundancy please do so. send me the link and I will add it to the source. If you can setup a static node, that will also be a great addition for the network. I can host DNS seed host but need some directions how to setup it properly - never did it before Already run two GRW static nodes on my servers. The quick and dirty way is to manually add ip addresses of connected nodes of the network using the default port 17177, to the A records of an address (seed.growthco.in for instance) The more proper way would be to setup https://github.com/iamunick/bitcoin-seeder on a server so it can scan periodically the network and return active nodes. you can check these 2 repositories to find out the changes made to the bitcoin-seeder so it listen on the correct network. https://github.com/JoiBlumen/auroracoin-seederhttps://github.com/Bushstar/worldcoin-seederJust finished setting up Growthcoin seeder at seed1.grw.acidpool.com Here is the source edited for Growthcoin: https://github.com/noise23/growthcoin-seederIt accepts only version 60007+ peers/nodes to cut off old forked versions. With every dns request it returns about a half of found peers in random order. It's up and running now so you can add it as another dns seed host Excellent Job Noise added it to the source https://github.com/iamunick/growthcoin/commit/c3185e22b3c106108e0711f2ccc07d0454deba46and post your GRW address, I'll send you a little something it's GZV1aE3Fn8FEzfxPQ7EYU3Q4dQT7YCuJB3 Thanks!
